Beautiful creek side area that is well maintained with toilets towards the pavilion close to High Street. The cycle and walking track runs right through the park. It's a popular place for young and old. BBQ facilities, water tap, rubbish bins nearby. Conveniently located parking along High Street. Some shady trees nearby make it an attractive area even in warmer weather.

Really nice place to get around the busy city and explore the surroundings. Interesting creatures could be found here as well. Very good organized park.

Very pleasant and beautiful walking/cycling trail that spans several parks along the creek. The greenery is maintained beautifully. Definitely worth going for a more scenic exercise.

What a terrific park. Amenities, parking in a few different locations (including street parking near quite a few points of entry if you go off the main street), tables and chairs, a playground, waterways and ponds, and my favourite feature - walking trails and paths that ramble through the place. It also has quite a few pretty sections, particularly along the creek/stream/river. For a mid-sized suburban park, it's worth exploring.

Nice park to walk about. There are some informative educational boards with sounds around to learn and hear about nature and it’s surrounding living habitats living in it. There’s a small playground, bbq area and lots of chairs to just seat about for a breather or to relax. Only downside of the park are the shared pathments for walkers and cyclist so do watchout for the fast cyclist that are riding at speed

This should be beautiful place to take your kids to have a kick and play. It is next to the walking track. However, unfortunately dog owners frequently dont respect the signs that clearly say dogs on leash and there are always dogs running around on the oval with their owners not caring. If you have young kids that are afraid of dogs, go elsewhere. The council needs to patrol this park more and pull up and fine dog owners that are not obeying the signage. Some additional signs next to the walking track, adjacent to the park would not hurt. This way dogs will not have an excuse for taking their dogs off their leashes.

I came across this park year's ago. I was at bounce, my son cannot tolerate the sound so I took him there for a walk. Lots to see, the local cricket team was playing, dad's pushing prams and lots of rider's and runners. Parks on this side of town are more salubrious than the north. Never the less, my son enjoyed the walk, the ducks and sounds of people having a good time. And most importantly to me, I enjoyed my time with him.

The park visited today was Actually Gardiner Park, behind Gardiner Stn but google maps live navigation directed me prompting it as Glen Iris park .. This needs to be re- verified by Google Maps! The park is small with BBQ Picnic Area, good seating for visiting families, with children play areas surrounded by many tall n beautiful shade giving trees , however the maintenance is poor .. needs more care !

Glen iris is blessed to have so much parkland and great walking trail along Gardiner's Creek- just wish cycle centric users could be made to use another track- they appear to have a sense of ownership- wrong, and pose a threat to toddlers who may stray onto the track.

Frequent starting place to walk along Scotchman’s Creek. It is very popular and on weekends there are lots of cyclists who tend to β€˜own’ the tracks and push pedestrians off in to the grass

Good trails to walk or ride your bike. Close to a creek, and many trees make nice shadow and fresh air who prefer to run as well. Missed exercise/workouts equipments for adults.

  • 4/5 Jess Y. 6 years ago on Google
Good stopover whilst riding the Gardiner's creek trail if your kids/toddlers are getting restless and need to have a run around. Nice setting, nestled amongst a background of trees and overlooking a grassy sports field. Cafe (Blake's Feast) not too far away either if peckish

Central Park- great for off-leash dogs. Very well looked after gardens although the park is not big. Hedgely Dene is close by and it adds to the size and it too is very well kept. One can also explore nearby Ashwood, Holmesglen and Jingella reserves. Pleasure to walk around or bike.
