Beautiful and expansive park with fantastic views. Plenty of native fauna here: kangaroos, blue tounge lizards, and a broad array of colourful birds. Nice walking path, but a pinch too steep for some looking for a lazy walk. Burnt out trees a reminder of how close the fires came to the suburbs.

Very good outdoor place for picnic/ walks/mountain biking. The map for the park really needs some work as it’s hard to find the gates to the key areas eg yellow gum picnic area unless you know the gate already.

A very large parkland with walking and mountain bike tracks going off in every direction. Terrific wildlife and very scenic in general. Highly recommend it too twitchers and bird photographers alike.

Nestled amongst residential properties is this wetland. I had hoped this would have led me into Plenty Gorge Parklands but that didn't seem to be the case with the walkways leading you to the roads surrounding this oasis without any signage or paths that lead you into the greater Parkland area. Still an enjoyable walk around this scenic area home to Black Swans and other Waterfowl.

My ex-husband proposed to me here and whilst it is a beautiful park and gorge, whenever I come here I am overcome with sadness and can no longer see the beauty of the surrounds. My therapist told me to come here in order to heal but I don't think even the sweeping views of Plenty Gorge will fill the hole in my heart that is my ex-husbands lost love.

Perfect area for walking around running cycling or swimming. This spot has a different loop with different lengths. You can easily get access to pond or lake with 20 minutes walk. Also this place has a designed road for cycling.

Beautiful place for 1 star. I love the irony... 'welcome to Plenty Gorge 'signs. Fencing off 90% of the Parklands as if it's some military zone is certainly not welcoming! Clearly to keep the public out, even respectful outdoor people, it seems like you're a bunch of power-trippers, all scripting along by the book. Quite disgusting really. Shame on you Parks Vic. Don't you just love a Nanny state.

The park is more fun than you expect. It is a popular park for mountain biking and running, hiking as well. During the winter time, there are many kangaroos jumping and having parties like other visitors. The path in the park is also worth exploring, please wave to those riders having trouble crossing the rivers. The views of the blue lake are spectacular too. I do recommend to have a closer look at it and you will have different feelings

Amazing park, but really hard to get into if you access it through public transport. Supposedly, you can access through incana drive park through a small hole in the fence. Then just follow the pathway and cross the river to get to blue lake. It was a tough hike though even for just 15-20 minutes. Absolutely gorgeous lake though, it was shallow too so nice for kids. Also, saw a kangaroo there! Great short hike, would recommend!

Nice place for a stroll. There’s a hidden lake where you could take a dip in summer, although the signs says you shouldn’t.

Big park with multiple walking trails to explore. One trail goes around a small lake with cliff views and overlooks a stream on the other side. Lots of spaces for a picnic and plenty of shaded areas. There's lots of parking available too.

Everything is fine in the park. There is a barbeque area in the parking lot. You can swim in the lake, but the water is a little stinky.

There's bush, wooded grasslands, lakes and walking and cycle tracks. Planning and navigating a walk isn't easy as Parks Vic don't do decent park notes any more. Note that currently the Yellow Gum picnic area is open to pedestrians only. The lane in is closed to vehicles. It's been a year since the bushfire.

It’s a beautiful trail. Yes, if you are not looking at the map carefully, you can lost Bridge is still out. If you are in a group or with someone, can cross the river with the help of fallen tree. Otherwise just dip the feet and cross it. It’s an easy trail otherwise.

i had a lovely hiking experience here. The trail was beautiful and moderate can be done by the beginner. The blue lake stop is a must if you are hiking here

Great trails for running, walking and riding. Ranging from narrow single track to wider authorised vehicle tracks. Don’t bother trying to navigate, just go where the trails take you! Lots of wild life!

Great park for walking and hiking. In warm and sunny days watch for snakes, you might see brown snakes enjoying the sun. you have great options from simple short walks to hill-hikes. You will see creeks, dense bush, kangaroos, echidnas, birds, etc. If you are with your pets, keep them on leash.

Within the tram area so cheap if you want to see wild kangaroos ( we didn’t wanna see zoo kangaroos/ thats bad) and we did see them. We went in winter mid june and there were a lot of them.

  • 4/5 Chris R. 9 months ago on Google
Awesome bird life in the park. Short walk over board walks. A great place to visit. Lots of space to sit and eat literally on the water. Saw a number of parrots and swamp birds, ducks. Beautiful!

  • 3/5 Dominic 3 years ago on Google
Despite indications online, this park is not accessible by public transport. e.g. The 86 tram can get you close to south-west corner but from here it is difficult to access the main park area. There appears to be no way to cross Plenty River from the south to access the Parklands or Blue Lake.
