A beautiful garden in the city, perfect little spot for lunch in good weather

A popular park where you’ll find many of the city workers come here to eat and relax during lunchtime. The park is currently going through some renovations so some parts are sectioned off. There’s parking around the park at $2.20 am hour, 4 hours max. There’s a toilet on one side of the park, plenty of park benches and drinking water. Would love to see some more flowers on display like what Fitzroy Gardens have, and cause it’s the closest to the city it can get crowded but I’m being nit-picky. Gorgeous park when the suns out.

Treasury Gardens in Melbourne is a great place to spend an afternoon. The gardens are well maintained and provide a lovely atmosphere for a walk and some time to relax. The gardens are filled with beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs, and there is a nice variety of pathways to explore.

A perfect place during autumn to take beautiful photos and enjoy nature. Fresh air, ample of street parking.. great fun for the entire family. Remember to bring along some bread, plenty of ducks and birds of all sorts to feed and keep the lil ones entertained. 🍂📸🍁❤️🦆🐦😊🙏

A lovely place where you can see groups of ducks and other birds. But the small pond could be a bit untidy, which is acceptable to have the ducks swimming around.

Great place to relax and enjoy the trees. You can bring your fog too, just make sure to keep it on a leash, you don't want to be one of 'those' people. Good for a picnic too or a chat to the magpies.

Beautiful park right next to the CBD with a very calming and serene centrepiece where fountains provide some recluse from the city traffic and the memorials are beautifully paved and landscaped with plenty of seating around. Well maintained with massive mature trees placed both randomly around the gardens for shading, but also elegantly in rows alongside walking paths. You can walk loops around on flat paved roads for a quick lunch time exercise too if you wish. Parking available around the gardens. Public toilets available were decent too. Has more than one working water fountains.

A perfect place from my Airbnb in Flinders Apartment & stretch, meditate, do yoga, listen to Buddhist Mantras, admire the Rod Laver Arena & thank GOD for letting me watch Australian Open for the second year in a row… imagine coming here from a small town of Darjeeling, getting married & working for 34 years in Kathmandu….Walk barefoot on the green grass, as it’s good for the eyes, feel connected with nature & feel blessed. Beautiful garden serene & peaceful.

Of tranquility and reflection. The JFK Memorial is a sanctuary of reflection and contemplation. A place of honour and respect of a man cut down sadly before his time. Sadly, A beautiful and solemn space.

Nice gardens with some big trees and grassy areas. Paths are good for walking (cycling is not allowed). Possums can be seen here at night scampering on the ground and up trees. Don't hand feed them, you might get bitten.

I dug eighteen very deep holes and found no treasure. Place does not live up to it's name, but I'll give a five star review, as security were very understanding.

Great little part adjacent to the city’s west. Very Victorian in its outline and planning. A number of great statues and memorials are in this park - there’s a rather large memorial to John F Kennedy of all people! Love the statue of the great Scottish Poet, Robert Burns. Nice place to have a still and eat some lunch on one of the many benches scattered throughout the park.

Treasury gardens are a beautiful asset that make Melbourne so enjoyable to be on foot for both locals and tourists. The gigantic trees (don't ask me to name the type) along the paths are enchanting to kids and the ponds are scenic. If stickybeaking at wedding parties is your thing then this is the place to be on a weekend.

Beautiful gardens at the top end of Collins Street on Spring Street, a much appreciated oasis of quiet beauty & tranquillity. I have not stopped by for a while and loved the newish fountain and landscaped garden area. The Ducks were an added bonus! A touching tribute to our gallant, often unsung, heroes in Emergency Services, many of whom have given their lives in the pursuit of their duty.

Peaceful, well maintained, plenty of benches should you need one. The lovely Water features are a must in any garden, nothing better than chatting with a friend in the sunsine , hearing the noise of the water and greenery all around . So close to parliament station and tram routes and the lovely Fitzroy Gardens .

Beautiful scenery located at the top end of Collins Street with plenty of eateries to grab some food and drinks prior a short walk next to the adjacent Parliament House. Plenty of shading, public toilets and a Cafe located in the centre of the park. Great for picnics, private events and large public gatherings.

Gets confused with nearby Fitzroy Gardens. This is named after Old Treasury at the Spring St end of Collins St. Long avenue of Moreton Bay Figs is the best feature as is the Memorials to Emergency Services & American President John F Kennedy. It is a great place for lunch time walk & extend your walk to the much larger Fitzroy Gardens by crossing the not so busy Landsdowne St. Public toilet is at this end. Gradient slopes but easy enough for everyone. Being annexed to Victorian political headquarters is going to have its downside- you will occasionally find protesters, rallies & police presence here. Sometimes sections can be cordoned off. Why 3 star rating? There is so much more potential to develop this park especially over-hauling the insipid, banal, run-of-the mill fountains & same tired tiered falls. C'mon City of Melb - let's have something that puts the stamp of Melb & Victoria or a nod to the First Nation's ppl. Only Carlton Gardens has a Fountain worthy of postcards. Treasury Gardens is part of of Melbourne's history - deserves something special that visitors will remember.

Tranquil park close to the CBD with fountains and cute ducks. I think I saw a lorikeet here too. Not a huge park with lots of flower gardens though so Fitzroy Gardens may be a better fit if that is what you are looking for given they have a conservatory

We came here on NYE 2022. It was a lovely, big public park with bathroom facilities, open spaces with people on picnic rugs and outdoor chairs. There were also food trucks and police to make the general public feel safe. All in all a good night; the kids were happy to watch fireworks for the first time.

I have lived in Sydney and done Vivid. And so when I heard that Melbourne had White Night I thought, "yeh sure". But it turned out to be really good. Helped by the fact that it is based in Treasury Gardens. The gardens themselves were set up with displays but it was the projected works on the old Treasury Building that made it, especially when you looked back down over the gardens. Besides White Night I also ran through the Gardens a lot in my runs around the city. Well worth checking out.

Treasury Gardens is at the top of the City. Easy to get to. Hope on the Free City Circle Tram and you can get off at Spring street. You can then walk through the gardens to the MCG, Rod Laver Arena to the Botanical Gardens. Great day out exploring the city Gardens. Love it, relaxing stroll and lots to see. One of Melbourne's beautiful parks at the top of the city.

Ample shade and grassy areas. Some seating along the walking paths as well. Drinking fountains and enough bins. A quote pretty little duck pond with fountains and other water features and gardens. The path isn't always smooth, so watch your step if you're wearing office shoes, but seemed fine with runners on.
