Lovely green grass. Designed by Lloyd Taylor in 1870s i think, and one of the best collection of mature trees in a Victorian garden to my knowledge - peaches, plums, pears, apple trees, amazing 19th Century garden if you stop to look around. Retained enough of its acreage over time to remain one of the states most significant, despite being smaller than ripponlea, which to be fair is in a class of its own..

It's a beautiful garden, with enough mature trees to provide shade but also plenty of open space to soak up some sun. Variety of trees quite large considering the land area. There's a circular rose garden and a little fountain in the middle. Free parking around the outside. No playground. No toilet. Couldn't find drinking water fountain either but may have just missed it. Visited during an event with a pop up market so not sure if it's normally this well kept but certainly enjoyed our time here that day. Bins available at the edge of the garden near entry/exits. No access to the building. Feels quite peaceful.

Picturesque and tranquil gardens. Lovely for a picnic, to sit and reflect or have a stroll.

A historical landmark. The mansion is leased by a school so no entry is permitted. But you can access to the garden.

A wonderful wander, with dogs, on paths between plantings & under the aged & enormous trees surrounding the Grand Mansion. A pleasure in any weather & season.

Unfortunately I saw kids riding there bikes over gardens I thought it was unkempt looked alot of work needed to be done. Sad to see beautiful garden beds getting ruined by bikes no respect for once a beautiful place.
