This venue has the potential of being great. As the venue itself is great. 50meter pool outside. With waterside and diving pool. Splash pad. Inside 25 lap pools. Kids play pool. Rehab pool. Spas and steam room. It has everything. Unfortunately I ran into unfriendly lifeguards. No one was following lane speed recommendations. And they were also randomly changed while in use. Most of the equipment in the rehab pool was broken. There were no no broken noodles to use in this area. Which meant I wasn't able to do my rehab after paying the extra price to use that section. And alot of the water acrobatics weights where also broken.

Good size indoor pool and outdoor pool. Friendly staff. Indoor pool was a lovely warm temp. Change rooms were large and clean. Outdoor pool is nice and clean and doesn't feel over chlorinated, water slides are really fun.

A chaotic customer service, reception staff lack knowledge and training. You can see and feel how they're struggling to help customers. Extremely let down by their management. We spent three weeks chasing them to redeem government vouchers, when they finally did, they didn't do it correctly and are double charging us for our kids swimming lessons every week. It wouldn't be my swimming pool centre of choice if we didn't live nearby. The facilities are ok, not great though when compared to other swimming pools like in Box Hill or Greensborough.

I like the centre as I enjoy swimming there and taking some classes like zumba. All the instructors are so good! However, this centre has been so disappointing during the pandemic. There is almost zero communication once you are signed up and became a member. During the lockdown, I got charged for nothing so I tried to cancel it. And a guy who answered the phone who was very rude and already annoyed for some reason told me to just email the centre with the request and my personal details. There was no other way to cancel as there is no online system that is set up for us to manage our membership. I did send an email right away and forgot about it as it happened months ago but I am still charged for the membership!! For many months now, I haven’t been to the centre and they charge me even after my email request. Their management is truly poor and people there are not very friendly to talk to. They want you to sign up as they keep calling and calling to see if I’m interested. However, you are just neglected when you try to cancel it. I’ve been working out for my whole life at a few different centres but I rather drive little further to go to other centres as they just don’t motivate me to be part of their centre. I just feel sorry for the professional instructors who work there and are very friendly. For now, I will never go back to this centre to work out even if it is the closest to my place. It is just a shame that they don’t manage their members and their needs properly.

Great place for the family but terrible food options. No juices for toddlers only the sugary energy drinks. Refried chips which are super salty. They have great coffee beans but poor quality soy milk. If you're a home barista and a coffee snob you won't enjoy milklab soy.. BonSoy and SoyBoy are the only market leaders and true barista quality soy. Any decent and reputable cafes will always stock BonSoy and SoyBoy. I wish the council would do something about providing better food options other than fried food and sugary drinks.

Terrific swimming pools. Great outdoor 50m pool and a really fun slide. $5 for unlimited rides - go the green slide! Decent admission prices and a fair cafe. Lots of other activities.

We have been a member of the club for the past 2 years and management has changed once or twice during this time with price increases. However, value for money, customer service and services offered has been way below expectations! I personally think this club is situated in a great location and has a lot of potential to offer it's customers better facilities and swimming classes. Also, the indoor swim lanes are hardly usable for leisure as it's always so packed so don't count on any swim time! For example, I would highly not recommend taking swimming classes at the club. My son has been here for two years and coaches are not proactive and the swimming programme has no structure. In the previous swim school - State Swim Caroline Springs, my son was graded every 6 months, teachers informed both student and parents on what to improve on and he moved to the next stage based on results. My son has been in the same Marlin grade for the past 2 years! Today we raised this issue via phone with the club personnel and they were shocked that he has been in the same grade for so long. However, what was strange is that they asked us to ask the coach and Head of Swimming why this is happening instead of getting them to call us and provide an explanation. Rest assured, they have been very quick and efficient to collect payments and send updates on payment increase! I find this very disappointing, unprofessional and not acceptable especially if it concerns a child's progress! P.S Please ignore the reply below from the club. The Head of Swim Program called me and mentioned that she will personally email / call my son's mother to set a time to access my son. We still haven't received the call or email. Therefore this issue is not resolved yet. Quite disappointed that it's marked off as complete by the reply from the club below.

Outdoor pool is cracked in many places and falling apart. Outdoor pool is not heated appropriately, which Aquarena staff are constantly trying to cover up. They also over-dose the pools on a regular basis, leaving a metallic taste in all swimmer mouths. Customer service and cleanliness of the whole facility is also very poor.

It is one of the best places to relax near Doncaster. They even have an Olympic size pool our in the back. You can sit there on the grass and relax. There is ample parking. Also, spots for disability parking right out in the front. There is also a gym upstairs. Definitely fully equipped place with a lot of pools. They also do training sessions. Would highly recommend relaxing and exercising. Nice, clean, and green outside.

Very crowded, you are basically swimming in piss due to the amount of people in the water (Unsure if this can be helped). There is no changeroom etiquette, all the old men are walking around naked, and as a teen this makes me feel very uncomfortable. I am sure there are others out there with the same response as me. I do not want to walk into a change room and be confronted with you know what. Other than that the facilities are okay.

Average. Basic Gym amenities and machines, pools are always pretty crowded but the worst part about this gym.....they randomly charge you when they get new management. They had known a week in advance (from my knowledge, possibly more) that there was a change of management and hence new fees for all members, that were going to take place in a week...and guess what? They didn't tell anyone who is a member and just took over $50/$60 out of your direct debit account. ALIGNED LEISURE is the new management for this gym, I suggest you take a look at their reviews online before considering to join this gym. Just to clarify in his response he states there was an email sent out between June to now. Never received it. This joint blatantly lies to their members!

***Update, management reached out and wanted to discuss the issues and even offer some resolution. Was happy to discuss but after giving them all the times I was free I received no call or email response. No wonder this place is going downhill when even the manager of the place doesn't keep his word. No trust left in this place. Avoid*** This place has gone downhill fast, and the new management dont care about any of the issues that seem to be a common theme. Since they changed they dont offer online payments at all, rather you either have to pay over the phone or in person which doesnt inspire alot of confidence. Its nearly 2024 and I have been told that they cant offer this. If you need to deal with the staff its extremely hit and miss. The swimming coaches are good but the way they run the program is really hit and miss. The facilities are in desperate need of repair. The changing rooms the paint is peeling off the walls, door handles or clothes hooks are missing, life guards are more interested in talking amongst themselves. The swimming noodles they have are all mostly broken or ripped to pieces. Avoid this place if you can, they only care about taking your money and are not interested to be a place where you feel valued or feel like you want to attend. Some of the reception staff are great but sadly this doesnt travel up the chain as management have no care no responsibility to any interactions with the members. You can clearly see that people are leaving this place as its getting quieter every time and the same issues seems to be happening to other parents that I speak to that have also left or are about to. Lastly if you have the unfortunate experience of dealing with Liam ask to deal with someone else, he is by far the most rude, unprofessional and arrogant person I have ever dealt with and does not care about anything you have to say. I would have gladly kept going to this place with the previous owners, however the new owners have completely ruined this by an extremely poor transition period, endless payment issues, lack of empathy or concern for the members of this complex and hit and miss swimming classes.

It cost about $50 for my partner and me to access the warm water and outdoor pools on a Saturday afternoon. All the lockers were broken and I opened about 6 that were supposedly unoccupied, to find peoples valuables inside. I wish management would invest more money back into this facility. It's a shame to see that not much has changed or been updated in the last 20 years that I have been coming here. As much as I love the outdoor pool, we ended up renewing our WaterMarc membership instead. Considering how dilapidated the swim facilities are and the attached cost, there are many other pools in the area that are more modern and offer better value for money.

Unprofessional staff at the reception. There was a miscommunication and the staff Liam refused to do anything or even to try to fix it. He had the "what are you going to do about it" attitude. The other staff, Ash, eavesdropped and enjoyed listening to our conversation . Called and emailed the management and no one seemed to bother to reply. Swimming coach is a hit and Miss. There was a very responsible female blonde hair coach who was actually teaching the class, but there was others who asked kids to do laps but didnt bother to look/check their strokes. Update: the management replied my email and agreed to fix the miscommunication issue meaning we would not get charged and need to attend the last swimming class. And I was just charged today for the last class!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable (Just for context, we gave the 14 days notice)

As a long term member, I am quite disappointed with this facilities. I normally use the outdoor pool only all through the year but it’s getting dirtier every day especially in summer time when they allocate more lanes to playing area and less lanes to the swimmers. I believe the least they can do is forcing people to take a shower before getting into the water! The same way they enforce wearing face masks along 20m reception area before letting loads of people in the play area!

Nice swimming pools: It's wonderful to find nice swimming pools. A well-maintained and pleasant pool environment can greatly enhance the swimming experience. The availability of a pool specifically designed for babies with warm water is a fantastic feature. My baby loved it so much. Babies are generally more sensitive to temperature, so having a pool with warm water ensures their comfort and enjoyment. The affordability of unlimited swimming time is a significant advantage. This allows me to make the most of my time at the pool without feeling restricted by time limits. It's great that the facility offers this option. Well-functioning and complimentary locker system is always appreciated. It provides me with a secure place to store my belongings.

This place is a disaster. Every single week either a problem with our (permanent) booking, or class isn't booked in, or it's full or told to change times. Even given a "ticket" with time and told there was no booking. Was told that our direct debit (fully paid) was overdue and was confirmed as such when came into visit. Yes, this is justified as teething with new management. The teachers are mostly lovely.

Our experience at this aquatic center has consistently been less than stellar, but today's visit has prompted me to share our concerns. The reception staff seem to have misplaced their smiles, regardless of whether it's Belgravia Leisure or any other aligned leisure management in charge. It feels like a trickle-down effect, and unfortunately, it's not a positive one. This venue, owned by Manningham Council, appears to have its fair share of issues, ranging from low-level to high-level corruption involving parking officers to management staff. The staff's demeanor is questionable, as if they expect you to approach them with a knife. Swim teachers are juggling more than they should during a 30-minute class—six or more students, chatting with colleagues, and managing changeovers. It raises concerns about how much actual practice time kids are getting in that short span. The inappropriate behavior of some older adults walking naked in the male toilets, exposing themselves to children changing or using the facilities, is disturbing and unacceptable. Membership suspension comes at a cost of $5 per week, with no clear explanation from the staff. Even when members provide months' notice, there seems to be a lack of clarity. The parking lot, allegedly filled with staff vehicles, further adds to the frustrations. Cleanliness is an issue, and the recent decision to cut lifeguards is alarming. Parents are left feeling responsible for their children's safety, even if they can't swim themselves. It's disheartening to consider what could happen in the absence of trained lifeguards. To make matters worse, it appears that the council is using tracked surveys to collect feedback, potentially as a means of retaliating against those who voice their concerns. The overall atmosphere leaves much to be desired, and it's disheartening to hope that nothing ever goes wrong in this facility.

Shocking service. As a long term paying customer you might expect to have a fair use of facilities like the pool. Not the case. 8 lanes 'reserved' for squad/training with 10+ people restricted to a single lane. Ridiculous! Not even politely asked to move lanes - rude people! Multiple people went to complain.I don't intend to renew my membership

The indoor and outdoor pools open but if you want the kids splash area or a coffee or to use the diving board- forget about it. I called before leaving home to check the play area was open, advised it was. I’ve gone to the desk on 4 occasions now to ask why it’s not working and keep getting told it will be soon- but it is clearly a line to clear people away from reception as it’s not operational. The cafe was apparently known by staff to be closing early, at 2pm but not advised upon entry so families with kids can plan to get food beforehand. The centre is open for hours yet with a line of people looking forward food/drink so it makes no sense to close the cafe early. Upon speaking to reception i was merely told it’s Xmas eve, what do I expect!? The reception staff are lazy and not helpful. One girl is very abrasive in fact. If I wasn’t lied to upon enquiring about this place, I would of gone to a pool that has relevant facilities open. It’s sad really as this is my first experience here but given the way we have been treated, it’s definitely the last.

Finally brought my little girl to this place, a lot of parking which is good. A bit of disappointment as the baby pool 0.0 to 0.3m was not clean. Sand and leaves were in the pool. For the 0.6m pool, only left one lane to use, after a while more lanes were free up when the private classes finished. The whole place was crowded because a lot of school kids swimming classes going on and took up few lanes at the indoor main pool. At the Aqua play area, some people were doing lap swimming in this area, make it even harder for my little girl and me swim. In the shower room, despite following the hot and cold tap instructions, it seems like that's not enough hot water. I have to quickly shower my little girl in cold water and leave.

I have visited this Centre a couple of times this year and I must say the quality and cleanliness meets my standards 😁 The staff at the gym here are friendly and welcoming! Big Shout out Meeron who is one of the centres Personal trainers. Meeron has been so helpful in showing me around the gym and educating me on how to use the equipment effectively and above all safely! Also, he’s knowledge around training and physiotherapy is extensive and his patience with me is second to none ( hats off to the centre for finding quality staff! Highly recommend). Overall, the centre is awesome and I have enjoyed every visit!

Bring your own food! Cafe closes much earlier than the pool, kids get hungry when swimming, hot food fryer gets turned off and so does the toasted sandwich maker, which is ridiculous, I get that the hot fryer gets turned off, but the toasted sandwich maker!

This is a great place to come in summer - the outdoor pool is always busy on hot days, but busy in a good way - everyone is having fun, and there’s usually some music playing. There’s plenty of grassed areas that are shaded that you can spread a picnic blanket out on, or just your towel. There’s a great cafe that serves hot and cold food as well as a large selection of ice creams. There’s even a couple of small waterslides outside to keep the kids happy 😁. If you’re into fitness the gym at Aquarena is really well fitted out with modern equipment. Peak times can get busy on the weights machines. Plenty of cardio equipment. Highly recommend Aquarena!

I explained it always my first visit. Female desk staff didn’t explain the answers to my questions. I had to fish and fish for more information. Not friendly at all. Very matter a fact. The paper pool schedules I asked for didn’t explain the differences between classes. When I pointed this out she was quite dismissive. This is the most expensive aquatic centre in the area & yet it didn’t have enough water weights ‘dumb bells’. Only 3 sets & there was 10 of us needing to use them. I’m not drawn to go back.

It's good when you get a lane for laps. Most times, the swim squad occupies the outside pool while the kids swim lessons take up the inside. Pool could be cleaner. The sauna/ steam room gets too crowded. The spa is also crowded.

Coming here for more than 3 years and even though the swimming facilities are great the cafe is the worst. Maybe 1 out of the 5 times you come they have everything you want! Last year they didn’t have any chips and a few other times they stopped hot food after 3 or 4pm. Last week they didnt have proper cups for your iced drinks. And today no ICE so couldn’t have any iced drinks 🤦🏻‍♀️ so requested for the Prima fruit juices and was told they’re not selling them? Seriously Aquarena Cafe managers. If you dont know how to run a cafe then sell it to someone who knows what they’re doing or find another manager?

Since they have changed the swimming lessons provider our experience with this swimming lesson program has been frustrating. They constantly switch instructors, which disrupts my child's progress and comfort in the water. The lack of consistency and personal connection is disappointing. Additionally, I found the support from the management to be inadequate. My concerns and questions were often ignored or dismissed. It's a far cry from the supportive and reliable experience I was expecting for my child.

Generally good swimming facilities, with large Olympic size outdoor pool (open until 10pm, lit at night) open all year round, surrounded by a large grassy area with shade covers. Kids outdoors water splash area. Several indoor pools. On the verge of losing a star for some of the areas are getting a little tired. Nice spa area, and a steam sauna which is OK.

The facilities are nice and well maintained with a goid variety of choices between outdoor / indoor swiming pools , warm water pool, Sauna . The only issue I noticed is many if the lanes are usually booked for training and therefore it's a bit crowded especially in the slow/ medium lanes.

The 37ⁿc pool is divine. The lap pool is 28⁰c. Two big spas, one of which is connected to the warm pool, so it's also 37⁰c. The women's change room has a hairdryer and a straightener. There is a big green water feature in the kids pool which doubles as a terrific shoulder massage.

I’ve been coming to this facility for two weeks. I had a shoulder injury from footy and my range of motion was limited due to the injury. I saw Meeron and told him I need play in 24 hours and he literally fixed me up within the hour and gave me some exercise to do before & after my workout and it’s been amazing. I then got injured the next week but in my left hamstring, I saw him the next day after the game and he assessed and treated it accordingly and I was back within half an hour literally, he is a magician…literally! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great community venue. There are many pools to swim in, it's always never too crowded. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom. There's always something broken e.g locks, hangers. But they get it fixed quickly. Lockers are new and it's still a bit sketchy. Overall good place.

This is a fantastic place to take the family. There is something for everyone, with lots of space from the young to the young at heart. The facilities are well maintained, with both an outdoor and indoor pool, for when the skies are blue and the sun is shining, or for days of grey skies. This is also only a stone's throw from Westfield Doncaster, a real bonus for a pre or post lunch visit. This place brings smiles to my young family and we'll definitely be back, now that we found this gem of a place.

As an Olympian, I have trained at this pool for over 20 years. I have loved the pool I also love the new gym layout and gym equipment, I think this was sorely needed, and great to see so many people engaged in fitness. Shocking management and customer service! Went away over Christmas and the swimming lesson payments were meant to be on pause after organising several weeks prior to going away. The payments came out and still haven’t sorted it out after calling them several times and speaking to someone in person. The girl who served me was rude and after showing her the payment that she said hadn’t come out. Another week has gone by, no follow up and it’s still not been sorted! Would not recommend bothering with this terrible organisation! It’s also unclean and full of bird poo in the outside area!

Outside changing facilities/ showers are unclean most of the time during school carnivals . It can’t be that difficult to clean more regularly! Additionally of the 6 showers only one is acceptable and it’s a race to get to it first after swimming training.

I'd easily rate some of the group fitness instructors and classes a 10/10. They're the reason I've continued my membership at Aquarena. However, the vibes that the new management has brought to the centre are very disappointing. Shocking communication, poor customer service at reception, ridiculous music level restrictions, and as a class attendee, I feel like I'm being watched like a hawk when more than one staff member walks past to do a number count. STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE WRONG THINGS. It's not a pleasant experience. The whole reason we come is to get fit, make friends, enjoy the music, and try to achieve our health and fitness goals. They treat us like they pay us, not the other way around lol.

See the photo with the size of the queue!! A single buoy!! Just ri...

👍👍 Good little afternoon out. Best to not go in peak times like school holidays or there can be waiting involved for different sections, unless you like a full dodgeball court - personal preference. Very nice staff, always willing to help out and answer questions. Could do with a few more options food...

👍👍 Excellent place, have been before and now back once again for my son's 12th birthday party. We did the 2 hour pass for 8 of his mates who loved it, and now my daughter who is turning 15 soon, mentioned she would like to take her friends there. Very very happy customer and staff were great, and kids...

😐 Shocking admin team, pool staff and lifeguards are great though amazing facilities. Cafe since COVID is challenged by staff and opening hours no idea what's gone wrong there and the new payment and swim system they have added recently utterly complicated and problematic. Front desk staff only have 1...
