I'm
not
one
to
make
Google
reviews
but
I'm
just
confused
about
the
ID
thing
and
who
gets
asked.
I
recognise
that
I'm
quite
short
and
I'm
a
young
adult
(19)
so
I'm
absolutely
not
complaining
about
being
asked
for
my
ID.
However,
I
went
to
the
bottle-o
today
with
my
boyfriend
(20)
-
we
clearly
walked
in
together
but
wanted
to
pay
separately.
He
wasn't
asked
for
his
ID
when
he
made
his
payment,
however,
I
was
(and
I
happened
to
have
left
it
in
his
car
so
I
couldn't
make
my
purchase
today).
I
don't
want
to
be
that
person
that
cries
sexism
but,
honestly,
isn't
it
a
rule
that
every
young
person
should
be
asked
to
show
their
ID
(regardless
of
gender)?
And
in
all
honesty,
I
really
do
believe
that
my
boyfriend
looks
more
youthful
than
me,
so
I'm
just
confused
and
pretty
annoyed
at
what
happened
here
(and
has
also
happened
a
couple
of
other
times,
but
specifically
this
bottle-o
has
asked
for
my
ID
a
few
times
when
another
young
person
with
me
hasn't
been
asked).
It's
very
frustrating
because
it's
not
as
if
I
was
discriminated
in
any
way
for
being
a
girl...
but
it's
just
simply
not
fair.
We're
9
months
apart
in
age
and
he
could
buy
his
Bailey's
without
ID
but
I
needed
ID
to
buy
a
bottle
of
Prosecco.
Alcohol
store
employees
have
an
obligation
to
ask
everyone
for
ID
and
clearly
that's
fallen
short
here
-
if
everyone
gets
asked
(everyone
that
isn't
obviously
over
the
age
of
18),
then
there
shouldn't
be
problems
like
my
encounter
today.
