😠 A poorly run store which has taken away the express service lanes and even more checkouts and have replaced with self service. Corporate greed at its worst. No Service and high prices. When you ask for a manger none are available. People often mention staff, Coles, store, service, good, shop, find, checkout, stock, India,

Literally the worst Coles in Melbourne I believe. As do many others. The deli… won’t slice cold meats properly or thin if we ask. The shop, always has empty shelves and dirty floors and crowded aisles with stock blocking aisles meaning it’s hard to get by. Today.. Saturday.. only two people on registers to serve. I asked 3 staff to get help. The first two did nothing. The third, a great guy called “priority 1” over the loud speaker 3 times and I could see him with his arms up gesturing to someone to get their butt moving. The lines for people with full trolleys was very long and for a supermarket on a Saturday to think that two registers only is okay is not okay! Anyway. Doubt that this will say anything to the Coles hierarchy but they really need to put some effort into fixing this supermarket because I don’t shop at the deli anymore because it’s so bad and am quickly moving to a different supermarket because of lack of everything really.

Love Coles bakery! Great choice of sourdough bread. Their macaroons are really very tasty and good value for money. Coles is our favourite supermarket.

Been shopping here for years. Typing this review as I sit in your car park disgusted. You closed the express checkout and made things more difficult. Now I go through with the one item I required and approached the checkout (via the self service) to also purchase a tobacco product. Your staff member saw me with one item in my hand and stood there shaking her head at me. You can now thank’Rhonda’ for our family now spending approximately $2k per month at Woolworths. Her attitude has cemented my decision to never shop at Coles again. But naturally this review will fall on deaf ears as Coles don’t care about losing one customer.

Not happy that the staffed express lane has been taken away. Now just more self-service check outs unless staff

How can you reduce the staffed checkouts and only have 3 open on a Saturday? Best part of 10 minutes wasted to pay for my shopping. Imagine what it will be like over Christmas?! That’s why I’ll be going elsewhere now.

Despite having the item and the receipt, they wouldn't refund me for a faulty product. I was told to mail the faulty product back to the supplier, they refused to accept responsibility. Four of the staff including the duty manager had a book of excuses to avoid returning the item. The Coles chain should stand by products they stock and should not suggest I contact the brand directly. My issue was resolved when I went to another Coles nearby, who immediately refunded me. Extremely dissatisfied with Coles The Pines.

This store is always well stocked and tidy. Most importantly is that the staff are very friendly and helpful. I deduct one star because sometimes I find it frustrating to get service at the deli, especially in the early evenings when there is only one staff member behind the counter. At these times they seem to be mainly focused on cleaning up rather than still serving customers when the deli is still supposed to be open.

Really a very poorly managed store. Isles blocked with restocking cages, isle floor space lost with product stacked on floor. Then you can’t get a parking spot because they park their trolley trucks in the public car parking

The Deli not using number system.I took my ticket no.76 light showed 70 so I waited met a friend talked to her watched 2 customers being served with out tickets. another customer took a ticket stepped up when asked for next, then a young man came to work and again called next, so i stepped up and dared to ask why they where no using the number system that was still on 70? all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and attitude from the older lady that had been serving all the time, to the point she just laughed it off saying to the young man she hasn't been waiting, well actually sweet heart I HAD BEEN STANDING THERE FOR A GOOD 10 MINS WATCHING FOR MY NUMBER TO COME UP, I still never found out why the number system wasn't being used. Rude attitude from the female maybe we best go elsewhere I think. and the ticket system still showed 70 when I exited the store

I usually find this store unfriendly with exceptions. I have an Indian background but I am from a country in Africa where people with an Indian background lived for many generations so we DO NOT have ties with India anymore. I recently went to shop in the early hours of the morning, so I asked the Indian lady from India what time the registers open, she was rude. Anyway, I am pointing this out because I know for a fact since living in Australia for many years, that Indians from India DO NOT consider Indians from Western countries to be Indian like myself, they told me so, plus they seem to dislike Indians from the West. Customer service is important, anyway it makes me to wonder how people from Asia (India for instance) get the jobs easily because I am an Australian Citizen and from Western country yet I am looking for job? Additional info: I think that Australia should lower the intake of migrants from India and other parts of Asia as they seem to get the jobs easily here, mostly due to cheap labour and the contacts they have. I come from a Science background and believe me I studied my degree here as well as studied various other degrees here, but I found that in my Science profession although I am an Australian Citizen, Indians from India and people from other parts of Asia seem to be getting the jobs and I am still looking for a Science job, so highly disappointing. To top it off, I have been seeking any job now, but no luck yet and you can just guess who gets the unskilled jobs as well.

There is a flybuys offer which gives 20times points in apple giftcards going on in coles till 8/8/2023. Now i asked 3 staff members around the coles how much points do i get if i spend 2000$ in apple gift cards and how much would those points accumulated be in flybuy dollars and not a single staff can answer or neither they point towards the manager. Now they just lost a sale of 2000$.

Not exactly a flagship store. Specials not always correctly marked and specials often out of stock. No express staff serviced checkout and service desk no longer staffed.

A great shopping centre where you can find everything you need under one roof. Variety of stores so that whether you’re looking for groceries, clothes, homeware or cosmetics, you can find what you need without having to travel to multiple places.

I don’t know what happened to this store! It changed in the last 2-3 months a lot. Most of the isles are empty, all half price stuff cannot be found. It had a big change, I don’t know it is because of short staff or management but I have to go to Woolworth as I don’t find what I need. It is not easy for a busy Mum to check all the nearby stores for daily stuff.

Great range, stock is pretty good but the store could use with some updates to modernise it and bring it into line with some of the Coles Local layouts.

Stock availability improved a lot. At month-end would expect more tills to be open. Only have 6 Bulk tills of which 3 were open. Queues were horrendous.

Older lady around 7pm 15/10/22 on self service area made us feel left thieves as an error message appeared because an item fell off the bagging area (which already scanned) afraid it's Woolworths from now on, might be worth coaching or reassigning her

I shop at this store weekly and sometimes a couple of times a week but the shelves are always half empty or bare. I have been into a few different Coles stores and I have to say the stock levels at the Pines has to be the worst. Some other Coles stores always seem to be fully stocked.

I've been a shopper at Coles the pines since they opened I have had some nasty staff including a manager called jag during the covid period but that's in the past so I thought now I go there and find very few staff are polite it's ashame I often go out to do some shopping and generally meet staff at this store hoping for a little curtasy that does not happen in this store

  • 4/5 Jim J. 2 years ago on Google
Yes, I did visit, as suggested. Generally, though, only when my preferred supermarket, the olden named Safeway, at the other extreme end of The Pines, for those items unavailable on that day. BOTH supermarkets have similar products, service and convenience but Safeway carpark and end location are more suitable for my family and I! Both jolly good!

😠 Very poor experience today. While trying to compare 3 different coffee beans, when I set one down to look at another, I had a staff member take the packages away from me and put them away.
