Won’t ever go to Doncaster Village cinemas again, went last night and the ladies toilets upstairs had 2 broken lights, there was urine on the floor my shoes were sticking to the ground. It stunk and there was toilet paper strewn on the ground. Just disgusting, women were walking in out holding there nose. Please clean your act up. It’s a shame cause the cinema was fine.

Nice theatre, we tried Gold as usual and it was nice. Good sound, comfy seating, lots of space, great ambience.

We attended gold class last night with a voucher for the indulgence package. The menu had so many deep fried choices. Two deep fried fish choices. One deep fried dessert choice. Several non deep fried dishes had nuts. My daughter is allergic to nuts and seafood. Everything that’s deep fried is cooked in the same oil as the seafood. This renders choices to eat incredibly difficult. Even the salad had deep fried chicken. We discussed this with duty manager Brianna, and Danny. Both were extremely helpful, helped modify the choices where possible, gave a complementary popcorn and extra scoop of ice cream so my daughter could at least have a dessert she could eat. They have passed on our concerns (the menus was also unsuitable for vegans given the shared oil) and that was the best they could do. Meanwhile their demeanour and willingness to listen and help really went a long way to retrieving our night. Four stars because of their work, otherwise it would be one star.

We were served by a super friendly customer service host in gold class. We ordered the mini duo dinner package for $99 plus a bottle of sparkling for $24. Reasonably good value considering the cost of buying these individually. We enjoyed the sliders; barramundi burger and Angus burger.

Don’t waste your money on gold class, the cinemas smell musty, the glasses are dirty and the service was terrible. It took 50 minutes to get a glass of wine and the popcorn we ordered for half way through the movie came 20 minutes before it finished. Go to Hoyts where you can get reclining seats anyway.

Well this was an experience, thought my partner and I would go see a nice Sunday movie and go gold class for a treat. $128 later for tickets a coke n popcorn, we were forgotten to be told our movie was starting, then went into the movie they forgot our drink and popcorn tools about 30min to come attend to us during the movie then another 45min to bring out the snacks ( which were suppose to be at start of movie not 1:15hr into it. One of the two recliner chairs was broken and the table had had something sticky spilt all over it from the session before. After leaving the movie walking out to have a chat with a staff member found the 3 staff leaning against the walls or sitting down all on there phones with zero eye contact made to patrons and when attempting to get attention was met with a eye roll and “do you want something?” Gold class all the way! Do better village cinema no wonder you’re struggling.

Lovely staff, big theatres, just 2 things I found different about this venue. 1. When you enter the actual theatre's you are presented with the back row of seats first. Most movie theatre's I go to the entrance is closer to the screen and should you choose to sit at the back you can climb the stairs. Taking people with disabilities I prefer to enter near the screen, so that the person I am with can choose how close to the screen they would like to be and to also have access to the wheelchair friendly access seats. Also I didn't see recliner seats here

Took my elderly mum out for an outing. Parking is terrible. Lifts don't work. Staff are indifferent. Took me 15 minutes to get a drink. Paid $16 for two bottles of water! After a cinema was cleaned we went in...an empty greasy box of food was left in the aisle, in plain view! There seems to be no system with people jumping the queue, no management, no signage... awful place.

Disappointing Gold Class experience. Food didn’t arrive. Asked staff to check ok it. He returned and said it wouldn’t be long. Movie ends and no food. Got a refund for the food (only) but the fact is that the two of us sat through movie hungry which was a uncomfortable distraction. When you sell an “experience” all elements are important. Not just the movie, not just the food or the environment. Anyway, recommendation is to go to city instead. I normally like Gold Class so no joy in writing this review.

Our first Gold Class experience. I was quite surprised by the level of services available just to see a movie. I liked the idea of drinks and food being served in the cinema. Wouldn't mind doing it once in a while.

Nice and new cinema situate among the eateries. Plenty of options for food if you dont eat in the Gold class. Gold class was nice, staffs very attentive and very prompt. Very good service.

Going to the cinema at Doncaster is not what it used to be. Took the kids today, $75 for two adults and two kids to see Trolls at 9:45am. Sit down in our seats and they were filthy and the cinema smelt bad. The ads started at 9:45 and would you believe didn't stop for 30 mins. We had 30 mins of ads before the movie started. It's one thing to pay nearly $20 for each person but to shove ads down your throat for 30 mins is too much.

Seats, cleaniness, and presentation at Hoyts Chadstone are far better. However, the popcorn at Village is so much better. Salty and buttery texture. Would come again just for popcorn.

If I could give zero stars I would..I had a horrible experience at Gold Class Doncaster on Sunday. It was my daughters 9th birthday so took her and her friend and cousin, what we were hoping for was for them to have a fun experience in Gold class and what we got was the worst customer experience I have ever come across and 3 very disappointed kids with a side of humiliation from the extremely rude manager. When we did not receive what we ordered after trying to press the bell in the movies to which nobody came we finally had a staff member come in 20mins after trying to contact them to rudely say "we are understaffed" we politely just asked for what we ordered. Still didn't come and never did. After the movie we went to talk to the young lady who told us my Manager will come and deal with you. The manager came already very defensive and asked what the issue was, we explained what had happened politely there was no aggression, no swearing but we were disaapointed for the kids and in particular give you pay alot of money to be at gold class for the experience, but she responded with "my staff already warned me about you and your hostile so I won't be dealing with you, I don't get paid enough to deal with you my paycheck is not big enough, so contact Customer service" I was horrified as a manager myself to not deal with a customer issue and say you don't get paid enough for this...how does this woman have a job let alone be classified as a manager. We told her we would contact customer service to sort everything out but could she atleast just give the kids the popcorn they ordered, she refused too and would not budge and said the way the system put through the combo it doesn't specify popcorn even though the combo comes with popcorn, so because of your system we don't get what we paid for??? I do not understand how this is acceptable and have never experienced service like this in my life. Thanks for ruining what was meant to be a fun day out for my daughters birthday. I will never step foot back in this place again and I really hope for the sake of your customers you train your staff in customer service and I would highly recommend rethinking your management team, I wouldn't even give Emily a job cleaning the toilets let alone management.

On 8/12/23 we went to Village Doncaster to watch Napoleon at 12.30pm. It was delayed for reasons we weren’t advised because no body bothered to come in and tell us why they had to start at after 1 pm. So after 1pm we then had to watch the ads for about 20 minutes. We then watched the movie at 1.20 ish, 50 minutes after we sat down. In future, communicate if there is going to be a delay. A patron eventually asked and was told they forgot to turn it on !!! Are you kidding me? Who’s responsible ? Poor excuse. I then was slugged over $20 for parking at Doncaster shopping town because of the added delays. Not happy at all. You need to stick to scheduleing times for movies!!! A half an hour wait to then have to watch ads was ridiculous. You should have bypassed the ads because you made us wait a half an hour. I’m going to reconsider going to village or make sure l don’t have other things on afterwards in case it runs over. If you’d only communicated why there was a delay… Disappointing experience!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews however, the lady at the snack bar working at 10:30 am on Tuesday the 19th of December was incredibly rude, snatching our items, rolling her eyes, being condescending and overall extremely unprofessional . I have been a Vrewards member for years and to see this kind of treatment came as a huge shock. I’m honestly not sure how she even got the job! My experience on this day was ruined I just hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.

We have been to Gold Class many times here but tonight we are very disappointed. They asked us to sit in the lounge, gave us the menu and the staff said someone will come and take our orders. No one came, after 20 min at the lounge, we started wondering if the movie already started. So we got someone, she apologised that we have been forgotten and the movie had already started. So we missed the first 15 min or so! The food was terrible, we ordered the taco and fish and chips. It looked like it was prepared in a hurry, poor ingredients and presentation. The taco was soaked in sauce, dripped all over the place. Then they forgot our drinks order. I pressed the button, it took about 15 min before someone came. The movie nearly ended by then. Terrible experience.

Nice screen but we didn't feel (as a family of four) that we could sit together as a family as the rows were clusters of 2 seats. The seats were also not cleaned between shows so had lot of popcorn in the seat folds from its previous occupants. Food and drink choices were fine.

I don't go to the cinemas often, but recently took my young daughter to see The Little Mermaid. It was a great experience for her. The new audio and big screen technology was great. I'm guessing all movie cinemas are like this now, but it was a fun and comfortable experience.

Third time I have variations of this experience visiting this cinema, not funny anymore! So most recent visit Gold Class. We ordered food and identified times for it to be brought to us. 1. Placed our order and the server came back to process payment, He informed us that he had used some of our points to pay for a drinks/popcorn combo as it worked out cheaper. We did not ask for this as we are trying to save our points 2. Drinks and popcorn arrived on time - wrong drinks. It was what we ordered for delivery halfway through the movie, so took those thinking we would get the original drinks with our food. 3. One hour later (not halfway through as requested) a 2nd box of popcorn and the original drinks arrived. We returned the popcorn, explained what we had ordered and asked if the food was coming as we wanted to eat the food and drinks together. We were assured it was on its way and would be there shortly, 30 minutes later it arrived. I understand that things get mixed up, but so many issues with one order - and it’s all written down and put into the computer. As mentioned before, we have had similar issues on our last 3 visits. Why are the staff seemingly unable to take down orders and add them into a PC?? Definite communication and timing issues that need to be addressed

Very nice and modern when opened, but now dated. Good Class and VMax are OK, but the standard cinemas need to be upgraded. While Hoyts now offer [semi] reclining seats in all cinemas, Village still has [comfortable, yet] old seats.

Perfect customer service. Online ticket booking available. Good place to spend time with the family watching movies. Very comfortable chairs, fancy look, and wide screen. You can get a good deal by buying tickets with popcorn and ice cream however, you need to take care as the popcorn box will open from the bottom and make a miss.

Bought my daughter here today to watch super pets. The food was atrocious. Her burger was rubbery and the meat smelt awful. Couldn't blame her for refusing to eat it. I didn't want to kick up a stink so I just ordered the tenders and chips for her instead. The tenders arrived charred to a crisp and inedible. Even in the dark they were clearly burnt. Unacceptable by any standards let alone 'gold class'. Won't be visiting the Doncaster gold class again.

Went to Gold Class for the first time. The overall experience was very good, high quality food and service. However the food was way too expensive, just not worth the price for my income level. And to be honest, eating when watching movie, in a dark environment, is kind of weird. Not considering going again.

Was forced to pay for parking. Arrived after 6pm on a Saturday night. Validated my movie ticket, got the extra hour. But because the movie was over 3.5 hours long I had to pay $6 for the extra time I was there.
