👍👍 The breakfast / brunch here was sensational! The breakfast platters were delicious, very well presented and filling at the same time! Parking was quite limited, especially as it was quite busy, but definitely worth the wait. People often mention coffee, good, friendly, cafe, service, great, staff, nice, time, Great,

A very spacious and bright cafe with a small outdoor seating area. A good variety and presentation of food, however the flavour were either bland or combinations don't quite work for the dish. Beef brisket bai with mayo or cinnamon powder with matcha latte just doesn't quite work. Overall, it was still an enjoyable and pleasant lunch.

Wonderful service and super friendly staff. Great food, with an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs preparing your food. Interior is bright and cozy. Always bustling, and usually there is a line. They have outdoor seating and seating out the back, so it is pet friendly! Love coming here on a weekend since it is just around the corner for us.

👍🏻-The meat ball mini burgers were yum, and kids love the toastie! 👎🏻-The drinks are really small size and overpriced...won't order again. -really noise inside -sold out all the donut

Sadly disappointing. Scrambled Egg just bad, if you can’t make proper scrambled egg take it off the menu, it was over cooked watery foam texture, should be silky and creamy. Also I am not sure what’s with the avo is, it’s just weird, I’d go back to basics in that one. Pretty standard bacon, chorizo but also just had a random bit of char from the hot plate just on my plate had the rest of the meal been great I’d probably excuse that. When you pay standard brunch price in Melbourne I just expect more attention to detail, not perfection but certainly something you should enjoy.

We had the Breakfast Bagel with roesti and the slow cooked lamb (Beyond the rabbit hole). My friend and I both enjoyed our meals and the coffee was good. Not trying to be harsh but we both agreed nothing was outstanding just good and that's why it's a 4 for me and not a 5. Felt like if the food and coffee just had that little bit extra it would be an easy 5.

Food was very nice. I had the shrooms which weren't fantastic but still very nice. Breakfast board was nice with a variety just on the less filling side. Also had a apple celery etc juice, very refreshing. Service was great and friendly. Dog friendly seats outside. Lucky we got there early as there was a big line waiting by the time we left.

Light and bright, modern cafe with a relaxed vibe. Only takes walk-ins ( my group went midday on a Wednesday so not an issue- but was still fairly busy then, I imagine the venue would be packed with waiting times on weekends!) I did like the takeaway window for quick ordering( coffees or snacks to go) especially since this seems very much like a busy and popular local cafe. Food was nice, reasonably priced and staff service was good. Bronuts had a range of flavours and were yum!

One of my favourite cafes! The bronuts are to die for, service is fast and friendly. Only downside is that you can’t book and it can get very busy but can usually get a table no problems.

Absolutely shocked at what I found in my burger. I was hoping for a good experience but bit into a plastic piece you find that ties up bread!!!. I bought this just earlier this morning. This is not something you can let happen when running a restaurant, it's a choking hazard for anyone who would have eaten this. Very dissapointed at what I found.

My daughter take me for breakfast after I finished work. Treats me with a lovely coffee and the consistently great food. I had yuzu egg Benedict with bacon and potato rosti. She has had breakfast board. Very homey place with a little touch of countryside. The staff are very friendly and professional genuinely appear to love working there and who doesn't. It comes across in the service offered to each customer, and the way the food is cooked and presented. Inside can be noisy when busy, we choose to sit outside at the front to get an early morning sunlight. This place is a gem. Highly recommended 👍

Walk-ins only - plenty of space inside and outside, good range of sweet and savoury, and really great staff. My friend and I planned to go on a Saturday 10:30am. He arrived at 10am and managed to get a table outside in the back. When I got there by 10:30 it was already pretty busy - so keep this in mind if you want to avoid busy times as a walk-in customer. Ordering is simple via the QR code. They had a range of great options sweet and savoury. I’d also say their kids menu is bigger than the usual options listed. I ordered a coffee frappe and a “something a lil posh”. The drinks and food came very quickly. The salmon was fresh and went really well with the crumpet and dill cream cheese. It came with 2 poached eggs which was more than enough to fill me up. The avo puree was also a nice touch giving it that little bit of extra flavour. Frappe was easily addictive. Could have downed several of those! A little on the sweet side so if that’s not your forte, I’d be ordering a hot coffee or asking them not to add any additional sugars. Overall it was a good experience and I’d come back to try other dishes. Tempted to go for sweet next time!

The café is quite roomy, staffed by friendly individuals who provide swift service. Unfortunately, the positive experience doesn't carry over to the food quality. Our order included coffee, a donut, and a truffle omelet. The coffee was decent, but the omelet lacked flavor and the donut seemed stale. Regrettably, I cannot offer a recommendation based on this experience.

Nice walk-in cafe atmosphere with lots of seating, fast food service and friendly customer service. Unfortunately the food we had today was average. Shroom and Hole Lotta Breakfast dishes was all very salty including the scrambled eggs and therefore couldn't eat most of it. Coffee and hot chocolate was too milky and the kids didn't like the taste of the burger sliders except for the chips. Would love to see a vegetarian big breakfast option on the menu.

Just got home from eating at this place. We ordered the meatball sliders and the breakfast bagel. The food was delicious and it came in less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The staff were friendly and helpful with a smile. The atmosphere is great. If you haven’t been here, it’s a must try 🍽️😃

We stumbled upon this out of the way cafe for a Sunday morning breakfast and we were not disappointed. The service was informative and friendly, we arrived before rush hour so we had our choice of seats. The food was delicious and the serving sizes will fill us for the day. Our trip ’down the rabbit hole’ was a success.

Came in for Father’s Day and we had the most wonderful time, we were a bit stressed out as they are walk in only, no bookings, and we had 15 people but they accomodate us so well! The drinks are great I love their chai with honey, everyone really enjoyed their food it’s always a good time coming here! The staff are so lovely and don’t get me started on their donuts 😍

Tucked away somewhere in Templestowe, this very popular cafe has a queue during lunch time! They have plenty of open seatings on the side as well as the back of the cafe if the indoor seems threatening during the pandemic since Jan 2020!! I like my dirty chai hot, with the real chai - seeds and all, soya milk, serve of mighty coffee on it’s own, and honey too! Nice frothy finish!! Just how I like it!! This is a good start for revisits!!

Really nice cafe with a peaceful ambience in the outer suburbs of Melbourne and plenty of outdoor seating. We loved the TFC sliders, and would highly recommend. The staff are friendly and the food prices are good for the portions. Even though we lived nearby, we had never visited this gem before. We will definitely be back.

Love this place. Great food, nice atmosphere and always welcoming. They also have a takeaway counter on the side. I wish they had a reservation system. Quite inconvenient when you have to wait in a queue for a meal.

I’ve had the best experience every time I dine in at Down the Rabbit Hole. The food, coffee and service are all exceptional. The menu is so exciting and creative and I love popping in for brekkie or lunch. One of my fave cafes in the area!

The day I went with my family the waitress were a bit slow and careless but the coffee and food are delicious! The reception is bad at the back but if you sit close to the entry it’s good.

As soon as we arrived for our wine tasting and lunch , we were warmly greeted by two lovely gentlemen who guided us to the restored double decker bus for our wine tasting. Jesse guided us through a fun tasting of their beautiful wines and the story behind them was so lovely. We then proceeded to the restaurant.WOW what gorgeous surroundings, fabulous service & amazing food . This is a must when visiting Mclaren Vale .

Excellent food and good coffee in a pleasant modern environment. Also extra points for having enough staff (not a given these days), resulting in speedy, friendly service and remarkably quick food delivery despite it being a moderately busy time.

You can't find the same cafe in this area. There are lots of options for foods and beverages. Food quality is good but barista coffee is just average. If you're hoping for a speciety coffee beans with artwork, this is not the right place.

Great, tasty, hot food. Meatball Sliders are amazing. Frappe is terrific, very flavorful and nice a refreshing on a hot day. Service was fast and friendly and they even made room for our dog. Only negative was the people HOGGING the outdoor seating for extended "chats". They should be moved on for other paying customers to make use of the seating.

Nice neighborhood cafe with good vibe. This cafe is busy even on weekdays. Food comes with a nice presentation, good portions with a reasonable price. Food & coffee both tastes nice (Chips is just a bit too salty for me). One thing that needs to be improved - it would be better if there is less flies in the cafe. I would suggest the cafe can find some friendly ways to keep the flies away during hot days. Overall, staff is friendly, good location with plenty of car spaces nearby. Still worth a try if you live nearby :)

Always busy and buzzy, excellent quality food. Efficient kitchen and friendly floor staff. Expansive breakfast offerings and fewer - yet delicious - lunch style main courses and salads-as-meals. Attractive decor, a rear raised courtyard and a few sidewalk tables. Breathing new life into a traditional strip shop precinct. Such an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Visited a few times now across four years and it's always faultless.

Great cozy cafe, nice and dog friendly a perfect stop for anyone passing by, the most amazing burger sliders ever. Took our dog out and had a great time,a little cold but generally superb. Had a great lunch. An option for 5 instead of 3 sliders would be a nice addition,

One of Templestowes best little cafe's without needing to goto busy templestowe village. Wonderful breakfast and brunch menu with decadent coffee Bronuts (brioche donuts) available when your feeling like a sweet treat. Excellent service and plenty of table space for big and small groups. Real score 4.4. This is a very impressive venue. Full hipster quality without the pretence. The cafe deserves its current high rating. The food was utterly faultless. I had the supercharged salad with brisket. It was exceptional. A good size and chock full of flavour and zing. The brisket was beautifully cooked and just soooo yummy. I could have had a bowl of that on its own. The salad was a cracker too. Just beautifully composed. I’d order the dish again in a heartbeat. It’s as good a salad as I’ve had in a while. My friend loved his dish too. Both dishes looked really attractive as well. The coffee was good but didn’t make it into the exceptional class for me. Service was delightful throughout our visit. Warm, friendly and efficient. I’ll be back here for sure. I could see the score going up next time.

Very good delivery over this lock down period, shame most foods and all bronuts are always sold out before lunch time starts. Should have more and bigger menus away from order area so customers can social distance. And a sold-out sign would be nice.

I havnt had my food yet, but based on the size of the handle on the coffee cups i can tell you this is a fine establishment. Never again should we settle for mugs with finger holes that could only be used by infants.

Breakfast board was great! We added on a roesti, and that was enough for 2 people to share. The granola and little bronuts were my favourite. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because it was incredibly noisy. I love that the cafe had lots of people and that everyone was chatting instead of looking at their phones. But it was like the sound had nowhere to go and was just bouncing off the walls. I had to really raise my voice when I was talking. The volume isn't exactly what you'd expect from a Cafe. Apart from that, I loved this place! Would definitely come here again.
