Great dog-friendly cafe with delicious vegan options, including a range of cakes. Friendly service. Recommend the ‘bucket’ of coffee.

Peddler Cafe was a quick cute spot for us to grab breakfast before driving up to the Yarra Valley for wine tasting. There were quite a few people around that looked like regulars which surely means it is delicious, which it was! We’d recommend this spot!

Got the special which was a chicken katsu sandwich and it was so filling and so good. Staff were nice but not as attentive as I would’ve liked. The fresh juice is all really really yummy too

We dined for breakfast on a Sunday & sat outside with our dog. I had the chilli scrambled eggs & brewed chai. Eggs were tasty but chai was very weak, not enough in there so I recommend you need to put more sticky chai in the pot when making chai as I like my chai with strong flavour. Hubby had double egg/ bacon & cheese toasted turkish pide & he enjoyed that. Service friendly.

A lovely Cafe with indoor and outdoor (covered or sunny) seating. I really love their Waffle Bene dish with the maple bacon! 🥓😍 They have a great wholesome menu with dishes that really hit the spot, especially the giant cup (aka bucket) of coffee my partner appreciates. My only request is that they add a big breakfast to the menu so my partner and I can keep coming back!

A Blackburn fav with a great team behind the grinder, staff are very welcoming and friendly. Coffee and food equally up to par with their Belgium 🇧🇪waffle eggs Benedict being a big winner if you want a little sweet with your savoury to start your day. Fantastic! Always drive past this place and finally decided I needed to stop by for something! I went on a Friday around 11am. It was buzzing with people but had free seats and tables - they had seating inside and outside (under cover) which is great as it means more space. I ordered a cappuccino and a Salmon Poke Bowl. Total $28 approx. for a coffee (with oat milk) and a meal. Not too bad for a metro Melbourne cafe. Salmon Poke Bowl was all very fresh - a colourful plate. The sauce on the rice really made the dish. The salmon was also crusted in sesame seeds which added some texture. I was tempted to try the falafel poke bowl so I might have to come back for that! I wanted to give feedback on the vibe and atmosphere based on staff working. One of the older men (who I assumed was the owner) was really nice - talking to every customer and helping make the coffees. The staff were just as accommodating and kind. As it was my first time coming I wasn’t sure how service worked - I walked to the register and stood there unsure what to do. While pumping out coffee orders he still managed to ask me very kindly if I wanted to sit or have a coffee to go, when I said I wanted to dine in he gestured to a table and said not to worry as the servers would come to me. Just felt very warm, and I also noticed some people who seemed like regulars striking up conversation with him. He engaged with every person with the same warmth. It was just really nice to see and experience. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area!

This is a very busy cafe, which is always full on weekends( make a booking to ensure a seat)You often have to sit out on the side street in the undercover tent. First time I ate here, food was good, 2nd time we had the campfire eggs and were disappointed ☹️. Today the food and service were on point for all 4 of us. Would love to see more variety on the menu.

Brunch scenes are back in Melbourne! My weekend brunch was at a quaint cafe at Nunawading @thepeddler_cafe that was buzzing with the local, regular, and first time visitor crowds on a Saturday morning. We started off with a large cup of latte and the aroma of freshly ground coffee made us feel so positive and happy. Followed by two thick, creamy and refreshing berry and mango smoothies. Next we had the famous Biscoff pancakes and being a @lotusbiscoffau fan, I completely approve and strongly recommend this dessert brunch dish that's not too sweet yet enough to make you enjoy the biscoff flavors with the vanilla icecream, honey, fresh fruits, berries and the nice and soft pancakes. From savoury side, we couldn't give the Waffle Bene a miss as the classic eggs Benedict was served on a waffle, and the combo of it, was immensely delicious and flavorsome. At last, we had the best of best brunch dish at this place and that's called Bao Bao, tender, juicy pork with pickles, mayo inside soft baos served with shredded carrot and pickled ginger. Such a fantastic creation and it was so addictive and delectable that I'm definitely gonna head back soon to have this dish one more time. Although on the weekends, the place remains packed still it's worth the wait for a table, as their service is literally super fast, with an amazing and a helpful team of staff, who will serve you with a smile and cater to all your requirements. The menu has so many wide range of brunch dishes with both GF and VF options besides being affordable. So guys head to @thepeddler_cafe To try their incredible brunch dishes, beverages, freshly baked treats and mostly, to have a great time.

Beautiful indoor dining area. The coffee is delicious and so is the food. Ordered the chicken burger and calamari salad. Both were well flavoured and of a decent portion size. Recommend dining here.

Always a fave... Found myself returning to this local strip cafe time and time again.. Food quality is amazing and definitely tasty. Always visually appealing and value for money. But added to this the staff are personable and remember previous visits which speaks to their craft.. try the "bucket" sized coffee.

Stopped in for a late breakfast. Was served immediately and my first coffee arrived promptly. Breakfast was fantastic - I had the Belgian waffles with eggs and bacon and my daughter had a burger and chips. Altogether great service and excellent food.

Coffee not hot enough and on cold Nov day nor is the room (pity the fire wasn’t lit). Muffins would have benefited by having a few extra berries. Very Coverd safe-Bring your Vacc certificate.

First time dining here. Busy, good atmosphere and attentive staff. Enjoyed the Thai Calamari Salad (generous serve, tangy dressing and chilli) and a skinny latte. Will definitely return.

Peddler Cafe is situated in a nice suburbian spot with indoor and outdoor seating available. We went on a weekend, no booking was required. Service was good, we ordered the Corn Fritters and burger with chips.

3.75 stars. the ambiance and vibe really deserves 4 stars- nice indoor and outdoor (undercover and heated) seating! however importantly the food we ordered wasn’t quite up to 4 stars this time. maybe if we had ordered different dishes…. the special, mushroom omelet was very dry, and the baked eggs too salty. we may give them another go… perhaps their other dishes are better.

Lovely food, we had the Bao Bao and the Shakshuka, Shakshuka should have runny eggs but it was delicious nonetheless! Bao was absolutely divine The Latte milk was overdone unfortunately, this is coming from a barista, but it was still yummy Watermelon, apple and mint is always an amazing combination 🌿

I really love this cafe. The food is really great and the menu has many options so it’s hard to choose. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. Parking is a bit tricky as it’s popular.

This is, hands down, my favourite cafe. I am so gutted that I’ve since moved away from the area. The food and drinks are always outstanding. They’re presented beautifully and taste incredible. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into creating the menu. The staff are always incredibly friendly. When I was a regular, they would recognise me instantly, and this cafe became a safe, comfy, homey space for me. I absolutely beg you to go here, it’s definitely one of the best lunch/brunch spots in Melbourne! Nothing compares now!

Amazing service at Peddler Cafe. We wanted an outdoor table and there wasn't one due to another booking for 18. They eventually rejiggled some of the tables to make room for us. Food & coffee was also fantastic - will be back!

Good food, just don't go when it's busy, and don't sit out the front if it's cold. My order had been left on the pass for a while, judging from the temperature, and that fact that it took 40 minutes to get to me. It would have been delicious, though, so dont go thinking they don't make good food! They seem to have a covered (and heated?) Outside seating area on the side street, so look there if you can't get a seat indoors. The main street traffic is high, as well.

During Autumn on a Sunday morning when the weather is perfect, sitting outside for a coffee n breakfast is a delightful experience. The staff serving outside was very welcoming and took our order quickly. The coffee is one of the best in Melbourne. Breakfast portion is quite decent. The interior looks very well decorated. Service was fast even during peak hours. Highly recommended for the service and the quality of the food n Cafe.

Sitting in the light shed built outside, there is no tranquility inside, the lunch is rich and tastes good, if the vegetable salad is replaced with a common mix, and art coffee is perfect.

What a hidden local gem. Corner location in an off the main track location making this the ideal local. Coffee is spot on Food is fresh and relevant Vibe is busy and thriving Pet friendly Inside was noisy. Sitting in the window on the bench seat, light streaming in. Reading the paper or a book. Sitting there starting the weekend right! Just don’t tell to many people, it truely runs the risk of you no longer being able to get a table.

The Campfire Eggs is a very delicious and hearty breakfast. It has a nice bit of spice from some red chillis sprinkled over the beans, eggs and cheese. The coffee is also good.

  • 2/5 R D. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely don't get this place. The acoustics are horrible, everyone is shouting to compensate. The staff ask repeatedly what you've ordered and then they bring you something you didn't order. Then they hover over you during your stay - I get it, you want us to leave! The food looked good, but we changed our mind about sticking around and just had coffee (we got the message). Not coming back.

  • 5/5 Yen K. 3 years ago on Google

Stumbled across this little gem whilst taking a back street. Great venue and seating with attentive staff. The menu is smallish but the drinks are great. Had a large flat white and the waffle bene. Coffee was good, the large is a BIG mug, so if you're a one cup a day person maybe just the regular. Waffle bene was excellent. Eggs were great, couldn't get enough of the hollandaise and the bacon was just right. Waffles were huge, and a bit too sweet for me. Worth the 45 min drive from Pakenham
