Changed lotion. Very busy. Food is not as good as it used to be. Neither is the service. Very rushed. The sea food in the pasta are all over cooked. The green beans are very burnt in egg scramble dish. The only flavour of the egg scramble dish is from sweet chilli on the top. There’s even no salt on the table. Food came at different time. Huge gap in between. And there’s no cutlery on the table or when food severed. You have to ask for it.

Came here hungry after doing a hike with my 5 year old niece, the staff are really friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the matcha latte and spicy chicken burger 🍔 The chilli scramble is great too! The decor is great. I will come back! Enjoy!

Brunch Burgers Very nice Fathers day brunch. Everybody Very Happy! Food great. A little slow to include us in their service but it was fathers day so not too bad! One thing though! Toast not toast but bread! I would have preferred it toasted! Grandaughter loved the food!

I had Sweet Monkey and Bacon Egg Benedicts. I don’t usually ordered sweet dish for brunch but I think I made a good choice this time. I had the Sweet Monkey and it was so yummy! It’s not your ordinary pancakes (it’s Fried roti pancakes! Comes with banana, mixed berries, popcorn, cookie crumble, mascarpone & maple syrup). Some hidden banana underneath the top stack as well! 🤯

Great place for a great coffee and delicious food. Angel Hair Pasta is fantastic and Mr Hermit (Soft shell crab burger is good too). Today I had scrambled eggs croissant and that was really nice too. I have yet to find anything that I don't like.

Popped in to check out the menu and was temped by many of the many meals on offer. The new restaurant looks wonderful and the staff are very friendly. I decided to try out the Pork Belly and it was excellent, just melted as you ate it, and one dish that would will definitely have again. Can’t wait to try out more of what’s on the menu. I highly recommend getting down to this new restaurant and enjoying a lunch or dinner. Update : An awesome lunch within a minute of getting home. Whether it’s Takeaway or dinning in, the meals are always great here.

This is officially my fav Thai place in the East side of Melbourne. School Prawns were crispy and golden. Angus beef steak slices were juicy and tender. The ribs were lack of flavour however still nicely cooked. We tried to save some room for deserts and that mango sticky rice was spot on! We had the pork neck and the fried fish last time , which they were very good in quality too. Just remember to stay away from their Tom Yum soup which it tasted abit too salty for my liking. Highly recommending their lunch menu, for $15 their green curry and braised pork belly dishes taste and present like something worth much more. Will definitely be back soon.

I had been looking forward to coming to Three Monkeys Place since it moved across the square. New venue is more spacious and light filled, nice bits of greenery. The sweet roti pancakes were delicious BUT we all decided they would be much better with a savoury option! Food and service was good, atmosphere a bit lacking and WOULDN'T do split bills, even though very quiet.

A very nice Cafe situated in Doncaster east. I came here with my friend and they had quite a few vegetarian dishes. Being vegetarian I was delighted by this! I really enjoyed their meal. I got the wild shroom meal and their mushrooms were delicious! I loved it so much. Not everyone can make stir fried mushrooms like that. Overall I really enjoyed this meal. Thank you for the great experience!

A really happy accident! We were going somewhere else but it was super busy, so we wandered up the street and found Three Monkeys. Delicious food, great coffee, lovely and fast service, and a very friendly atmosphere in a clean and modern space. We'll be back!

Service | ★★★★☆ Drinks | ★★★★★ Food | ★☆☆☆☆ • 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 • ☺︎ Staffs are friendly and helpful. Came to ask about the drinks and food at the right time, pretty good. Took off one point as explained at the “Food” section. • 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 • ☺︎ We ordered one iced soy matcha latte and one iced soy taro lattes, both were good - not too sweet but with flavours or matcha and soy. If you like the supermarket package of matcha/taro bubble tea, you will like this one. • 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 • ☹︎ Couldn’t find a better word to describe the food other than “odd”. We had chicken burger and the seafood angle hair - both were SWEET???? The fried chicken itself has no flavour, but the sauces were sweet. The pasta was just….sweet. Asked the staff to confirm with the kitchen, and reply was and I quote “we put only cream and tomato purée”. Then I asked them to please confirm with the kitchen, then we got and I quote “it is what it is, we can bring you salt and pepper if you like” (then drop back the dish on the table). Appreciate the offering of salt and pepper, but the attitude…. Now that we are talking about a dish that’s slightly sweeter than the taro latte, if you like chocolate curry, please proceed. Nevertheless, we wouldn’t be returning again as the food apparently doesn’t suit our taste at all.

Good food and love the taro latte here. Friendly service and nice atmosphere in the cafe. Easy to find parking too. Sad that they close at 3pm when we went, so we had little time for lunch.

Not sure what was going on today . It was a Monday- maybe the head chef wasn’t in. When both of us have had 50 years of hospitality experience between us, you know we know food. We ordered the ‘wild mushrooms’ on toast, instead we got cheap button capped mushies instead, certainly not wild mushrooms . The second dish of scrambled eggs on gf toast was not seasoned at all , overcooked and dry . Overall the dish was tasteless - even with the sambal. 2 supermarket quality gf toasts to compliment the dish . At the prices you pay these days , at least meet expectations of quality standards . The coffee was good , but could have been a higher temperature . After all this ; the customer service was excellent and the staff super nice and accomodating .

Great service and coffee. Delicious well presented food and a modern clean environment. Heaps of seating and the window seat is fun to watch people walk by. A nice place to meet friends.

3.5 stars ⭐️ For a newly opened restaurant, not bad at all. The staff are friendly, lovely and very helpful. We got their snapper w green curry, school prawns and pork vermicelli. The snapper curry was the highlight, it wasn’t super spicy but it has a nice kick to it. The kids gobbled down the pork vermicelli and the veggies is the bowl looked fresh and yummy. The school prawns were nice, but I found the dipping sauce more like water. It just doesn’t pack enough punch and it wasn’t needed really. The prawns are fresh and it doesn’t have that overly oily taste which was great. A delightful place for a relaxing week day lunch.

Good coffee place now ... a stone throw away from the first three monkeys. PREVIOUS 9/10 ... this NKOTB is presenting quality modern Thai food. Jackson Court was dying a few years ago, now, it's a different story ... it could be the next rival to Kingsway, Glen Waverley ... on weekends, Friday and Saturday night parking spot is as rare as the Greens seat in the Parliament lower house Canberra, but seriously with the many new restaurants, apartment blocks, Dan Murphy's and Aldi, the parking situation is really out of control. Manningham council??? There are cafes, Charcoal Chicken, Greek, Italian, Korean, Malaysian, Japanese, Thai and Chinese restaurants already established here, so you have to be smart and brave to set up another Thai (modern) restaurant at Jackson Court. Kudos to the owners (same owners as the Three Monkeys, old Barrington's florist) Jade Fox showcased their version of modern Thai food. Still sticking to its Thai origin and authenticity, under the watchful eye of their imported Chef from Thailand, they are able to showcase another shade of this rich cuisine that we all grown to love, all over the world. We started the evening with some Betel leaf prawns with cooked Coconut shreds and some fruity "twist", then Papaya Salad, next to the not too sweet, just right Duck Red Curry and caramelized sweet soy Pork Belly, accompanied by some Roti, Coconut and steamed jasmine rice. We closed the evening with some desserts; Egg Custard Brulee, their version of "mashed" Thai banana fritters. They are all very well presented, right portion and delish ... the highlight for me was the Red Duck curry, more green peppercorn, please. That was a short, great introduction of their modern Thai medley, there are more to explore from this NKOTB modern Thai restaurant. Kudos to the smart operator who seized the opportunity in setting up and presenting their expertise at Jackson Court, the next Kingsway of Glen Waverley. Thank you Bertram & Farrah for showing and hosting us. JT-May 2019.

I stumbled upon Three Monkeys Place while passing through the area and decided to grab a quick coffee. The service here was absolutely fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, making my visit a pleasant experience. The coffee was also top-notch, with a rich and satisfying flavor.

Family friendly cafe with nice surprises that the avocado toast is yummy and the Korean chicken burger taste just right on spiciness with lovely fries to go with! Another point worth mentioning is about the toilet setup. They have toilet big enough for family with kid and tidiness is good!

This cafe wins for the worst ever tasting latte I've ever had in my life! It was way too milky and tasted like skim milk, not even full. I am too disappointed

Best coffee we’ve found in Doncaster/Melbourne!! The food is unbelievable too and service cannot be faulted - such kind, lovely staff, always make our day! We come back daily for the coffee! All very well priced especially for the quality :)

We came to Three Monkeys for an early brunch. The cafe had a nice calm atmosphere with lots of cute greenery inside. We got the egg benedict and the salmon rosti, with a taro latte for the drink. The eggs benedict was quite good, it was cheesier than I thought it would be, and was very filling. The salmon rosti was very tasty and fresh with a beautiful plating of a rose. The taro latter however was very underwhelming. It didn't have a rich taste and was quite bland. Otherwise, we enjoyed our experience here and am looking forward to trying to other menus. On a side notes, the car park in front of the cafe was quite full so I can imagine it would be difficult to find a spot there during lunch hours.

I've been told this place was nice so thought I'd check out out for a morning coffee. We sat out the back which was a very nice covered outdoor area and relatively unique for the coffee places in the area.... Pity the place isn't licensed and open in the evenings as it would make a great beer garden or wine Bar for the area. Service was quick and without fuss. Although we didn't have any food on this occasion I'd certainly be happy to come back.

Great atmosphere and staff. Good coffee but food was subpar. The Angel hair pasta was paired with tasteless frozen prawns and random onions on top. The Charlie's burger had a firm pattie which lacked any stand out flavour

Such a pleasant experience here! Will be back again. Yummy matcha latte. Partner ordered the Playground and I got the Smashin' pumpkin(+bacon). We also had the Sweet Monkey to share. Wow! Each plates was well balanced in proportion and taste, we had a generous serving of bacon and left feeling full and more than satisfied. I highly recommend you try their roti pancakes, those were a hit!

We ordered the Playground (big breakfast) and the Charlie's Burger. Both were plated excellently with high quality ingredients. Service is top notch even when it gets crowded. It's great to see that these things haven't changed since the move. What has changed: - it is much more spacious inside. While they could probably cram in more tables, the extra space is really appreciated for groups with prams/strollers, or older people who may need a bit more time to move around to get in and out of their seat. - bathroom is a lot newer! - the setup makes it easier to order and wait for a takeaway coffee - the decor is more modern. This may be a plus or minus for you depending on how much you liked the old venue - being next to Aldi is very convenient It's still very popular, meaning you will need to consider waiting times and where you park during peak hour.

A fabulous cafe, friendly staff who go above and beyond for their customers. Amazing food that doesn't cost a fortune unlike other brunch spots. Definitely check this one out, coffee is incredible. I'll be a regular for as long as I'm in doncaster!

I absolutely love this bustling cafe! The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff are always friendly and attentive, despite being busy. The coffee is consistently excellent - i had a large almond latte. They have a great selection of pastries & muffins. I had the smashed aco, with egg and bacon, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Really nice place although the acai bowl was a bit watery, other than that food was great

  • 1/5 S Z. 1 year ago on Google
Y'know how it feels when you pay for food and it wasn't good? That was the experience here today. Hollandaise was bland, sour dough was tough, and there was absolutely no flavour other than the fake "sambal" sauce on the scrambled eggs, which was more sweet than spicy. Did someone steal all the salt from this joint because nothing was seasoned, and the little salt shaker on the table had salt that was literally solid, requiring a jackhammer to extract any semblance of a speck of salt. Every other restaurant on Jackson Court has been great and I was hoping this would be the same but alas was sorely disappointed, especially with the brunch price markup. The cherry on top would have to be the horrible service provided at the end. Can recommend any other brunch place in the area such as Bob Your Uncle if you are looking for a traditional brunch with actual flavour or Inked Cup just down the road for great Asian fusion brunch food.

This is my favourite brunch place in the neighbourhood simply for their yummy menu! I highly recommend you try their roti pancakes and their angel hair pasta. I also love their coffee. We've been back several times and have only been disappointed when their roti pancakes ran out! 😜

Stopped here for lunch and worked from the cafe and ordered the angel hair pasta. Mayne, this was so yummy, the sauce was so good, i don’t know what they put it in but it was so delicious. Had coffee as well, which was stunning. Would come back again and try some of their other food.

Just coffees today, although menu liked great. There were some nice deliveries going out to nearby tables. Nicely presented place, coffee was good, staff were friendly and even toilets worth a view!! I prefer my coffee hotter than it came though.

I went for a dinner with a grou of friends and were wowed with the quality of meals and service. Staff were attentive, food was better than I expected and quick. The food selection isn't as many as other similar restaurants but that's probably they make it so well. Cocktails were a bit watered down but wine selection was good. A bit pricey but worth it.

Not understanding the negative reviews at all. I went to Three Monkeys for the first time this morning. Was fantastic. Coffee was delicious and I had The Playground for breakfast. Was superb. One of the best cafes I have visited the eastern suburbs....easily. Everything on my plate was cooked perfectly.
