So I went this afternoon to eat my brunch in this place, I ordered pan in one which basically as you can tell from the dish picture. It tasted very good actually, the portions was just at point. And then a coffee with I think a brownie cheesecake, the dessert tasted amazing actually However giving the 4 stars just because apparently there was a misunderstanding, as I asked the guy who took the food order from me, if I am able to replace the bacon with the avocado since I don’t eat bacon, and he was like yeah absolutely I can do that. But then when I was about to pay for my bill I realised that they added $5 extra for the avocado. Which I was not satisfied with and told the guy at the counter that I asked the guy to replace the bacon with avocado I did not ask for an extra avocado!! And he was like ahh no we don’t do this unfortunately but I’ll just pass it this time. For me this was quite weird since he said I’ll just pass it this time, I mean your guy agreed at the beginning so there is no need to say I’ll pass it this time. Also there actually should be flexibility with the order. I am a Muslim and in our religion we don’t eat bacon so what would be hard to replace one ingredient. I don’t think I asked something hard! I’ve been to so many cafes and they were all happy to do that, Well some no but the majority were happy to do so Anyway, the food was good everything was great except what I said. And hopefully when I come next time I won’t be experiencing the same thing.

Good selection of breakfasts and coffee a relaxed atmosphere. They even let you take your dogs out the back to the covered outdoor area. Easy to get there and park or take the tram which is right outside. Food is a mix of traditional breakfast with some interesting twists. Service is good and friendly. My only downside and the reason it doesn't get 5 stars is I think it's a little overpriced for the style and portion size.

I come here out of convenience not because the food is good. The staff are nice to regulars but rude to others. There has been times when the staff have commented on customers appearances or made fun of customers which is incredibly rude. I’ve had staff roll their eyes at me when they’ve taken my order or just flat out ignore me to continue their conversations between eachother. Food isn’t great, coffee is average. There are a lot of new businesses opening within the area, is this the sort of impression you want to continue making to potentially new customers?

Great coffee and yummy breakfast. Very generous servings and 1 meal was enough for my son and I. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. Really love the outdoor setting which is also dog friendly. Not much to fault except we only had 30 mins to enjoy our meal.

I was doing a morning coffee run with an older brother of mine. I had encouraged him to take a turn taking an order, in which he had a post it note for reference- the staff serving us at the counter was an extremely rude and short tempered individual- snatching the post it note from his hands as way of “taking our order”. We received no apology or any sign of remorse. I’ve observed the staff there as being extremely condescending and obnoxious. The service there is extremely unpleasant, I dread each time I must enter that cafe! I don’t recommend this cafe to anyone as service there hardly meets the minimum standard expected.

We were in the neighbourhood and were looking for a dog friendly cafe. This had a large outdoor seating area, with a few other families bringing their dogs. Food was good, service was quick. Really enjoyed their fresh squeezed orange juice. Dessert (orange cake) was a bit meh but hot food was good

Australia Day. Surcharge was only 15% which was a pleasant surprise. I was in expecting more. I had the breakfast which was really rather good. Decent ingredients which really makes a difference. The menu is quite small, which I like as they can do a few things very well instead of trying to serve up 30 different dishes. Small menu but everything is well cooked and well presented. Staff are friendly. Attentive without being in your face. I like this place and will be back

This cafe has a great menu including lunch dishes. They also have a variety of baked goods including cake, scones & muffins in their display window. I’ve tried many of their dishes and recently had their breakfast sandwich served with chips. This was a hearty dish and loved all the fillings. Dad had the avocado toast which is a great dish and very healthy. Mum had the scrambled eggs with fresh avocado which is the perfect breakfast dish. The coffee is also very smooth and yum. I’ve also had their chai latte which was great. Definitely check them out for a great breakfast or lunch!

1. In busy times you need start taking names with orders. Leaving it to 8 awaiting customers to work out who's 'Large Latte' is; just doesn't work. Also shouting "Large Latte" multiple times and becoming frustrated with your customers is also not a great look. 2. There is one particular staff member (male) that is fairly obnoxious most often than not. He has his days of being super nice and then just super arrogant. He is such a contrast to all the front of house at this cafe. They are usually all overly welcoming and all too eager to help. Reading through the more critical comments I could almost guarantee they are referring to him. His general demeanor exudes an arrogance that is very unflattering. He ignores customers, he is short with customers and just generally rude. As an subjective observer, I think he prefers to exude his effort on fraternising with the wait staff than on his job. The coffee is great, the food is amazing, the environment is cosy. The front of house staff are eager to please. This has potential to be the ultimate standout cafe in the area.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious meals and wine on the menu! Dennis was a bonus. The Vietnamese salad was exceptional.

Good food, friendly staff and a cool fitout that is nicer to relax in than the usual minimalist coffee shop look.

The food is delicious however I thought $58 for 2 x breakfast and a coffee each was a bit on the expensive side. But hey, everything is more expensive these days.

Wow - Truly all I can say. I went here for breakfast AND lunch last Saturday this cafe was that incredible. The food was disgusting… disgustingly GOOD!!!!! Service was lovely and the coffee was delicious 😋. the only improvement that can be made is for the cafe to STOP BEING SO AWESOME!!!!

A great cafe. Opens very early and as I’m a regular they know how I have my coffee. Quick service even when busy. Nice area out the back. Highly recommend this cafe

I very much enjoyed my time at The Bean Thief. The coffee was perfect and the muffin had a delicious blend of flavours. I thought the staff were very kind and personable. A small critique; I'd've liked to have been offered my muffin heated, and when I made this request, to have it hotter, however I acknowledge they were extremely busy and doing their best. It was also fairly noisy, but there's little that can be done about this, especially since we were sitting nearest the coffee machine on a Saturday morning. If you're looking for a quieter area, I'd recommend their courtyard.

Went this morning, me and my wife ordered two coffee, and two breakfast. The coffee even spilled when serve on the first time, the waitress replaced the coffee. After 30minutes of wait. I walk to kitchen and the chef is so free, I asked waitress about our order, she said only two coffee were placed. This is ridiculous! You spilled the coffee and doesn’t place my order properly yet no apology. Horrible service. Thanks to you, I would never step foot to the cafe again.

Great cappuccino! Also very good smoked salmon bagels. Staff real friendly. The only suggestion to the BT, please use biodegradable containers for takeaway food.

Enjoyed a friend’s Birthday lunch today. I had the Potato and Basil Gnocchi - very tasty and my husband ordered the Chicken Burger which he said was 👍 Our friends were happy with their meals too; service excellent and the ☕️ there is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
