My favourite brunch spot in Camberwell. After having eaten at most of the cafes in the vicinity this easily has some of the best vibes and food. The egg and mushroom muffin was delicious and the service here is always great. Oh yeah the iced almond latte actually left me speechless. Mucho Bueno ! ❤️

A hidden gem for those of us who don't take the train off Camberwell station (it's beside it, just a little off the main road). The cafe is small, but it is bustling and the service was excellent. Staff were friendly, esp. the girl with the glasses who greeted us from behind the counter who was all smiles - this is important to me as a customer, as some cafe people now can be too hipster and arrogant. Our coffees and food didn't take long to come out at all. We had the Sweetcorn Fritters and their version of the big breakfast, which were both good. Serving sizes were quite generous without being too overpriced, esp. the fritters. Would come back again!

Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of going back to one of our favourite cafes located in Camberwell for an incredible brunch time. What we ordered: 🥯 Beef Brisket Benny - smoked BBQ brisket on New York bagel, wilted spinach and chipotle hollandaise (plus 2 perfectly poached eggs on top) 🥓 Belgian Waffles and Fried Chicken - buttermilk brined Southern fried chicken, waffles, smoked bacon and chipotle chilli mayo (with a nice poached egg on the side) 🍫 Mochaccino - the traditional drink presented in a special way with the beautiful latte art they do ☕ Barista Breakfast - an espresso and a milk based coffee (best combo for coffee lovers like us) Definitely recommend a visit if you want to have a great time with delicious food and amazing people!

Collective Espresso was a nice little cafe serving modern Australian brunch meals in Camberwell. We ordered their insta-worthy oreo pancakes and poke bowl. The poke bowl came with salmon and vege that were fresh and delicious though it could do with more rice. The pancake had a nice fluffy texture but overall it was very dry/lacking sauce and the popcorn was stale. Coffee was great and presented nicely with cute latte art. Service was quick and friendly.

Excellent coffee, some healthy options in the menu and most importantly, dog friendly. 5 Stars for coffee and 4 Stars for food. Great friendly service. I will try the Barista Breakfast next time

The exterior of this coffee shop has good traditional atmosphere. Only got a flatwhite for takeaway due to lockdown, so I'll enjoy some meals for having here next time!

Found my new go-to spot for a filling, flavourful and delicious brunch spread, Collective espresso is situated in a very convenient location right opposite camberwell station and every dish is under $23 (such a great deal for brunch food in this economy and location - and it’s so filling too! 🔥) We tried the- ▪️WILD MUSHROOMS, CHILLI BEANS & POACHED EGGS ($20) Hearty breakfast of succulent mushrooms, rich house-made baked beans, perfect poached egg and crusty bread ▪️BEEF BRISKET BENNY ($21) Smoked BBQ brisket on multigrain sourdough, wilted spinach poached eggs and house-made hollandaise with extra avocado smash ($4) ▪️GREEN POWER SMOOTHIE ($9.50) Kiwi fruit, apple, kale, spinach, coconut water, apple juice ▪️CACAO ENERGY SMOOTHIE ($9.50) frozen banana, dates, oats, oat milk, cocoa powder We were incredibly satisfied with our meal. They were super busy but they didn’t skip on the quality. The beef brisket benedict is one of the better ones we’ve tasted- the flavouring and seasoning was on point, the beef tasted delicious alone and was elevated when mixed in with everything else. The hollandaise sauce was so tasty and all the eggs were perfectly poached. There was so much meat, mushrooms, eggs, spinach and bread available it was so good. I absolutely loved their wild mushrooms and chilli beans dish, the beans mix had so much flavour, had the perfect amount of spice and was so hearty and filling. I probably would’ve liked an extra piece of bread but can’t complain much because the servings were so generous across the board. I really liked this dish - it was lightly raining and quite cold on the afternoon we went and this mushroom and beans dish warmed me up- so comforting and delicious! Both the smoothies were so good too! The cacao energy tasted like a healthier version of a chocolate milkshake and the green power smoothie was also so enjoyable. Great to see such special and different menu items you wouldn’t normally see at your typical brunch spots- we really loved it! All the staff were super nice and friendly as well.

We jumped a random tram this morning, from the city, wound up here. It started with the outstanding cold brew coffee, and got even better. The Wild Mushroom Chilli Beans were absolutely seasonal. The scrambled eggs with haloumi was also excellent. Thank you!

Collective, located conveniently next to the station, offers a great coffee. While the chilli scramble missed the mark in terms of flavor, the veg fritter and coffee remain impressive. With its prime location and delicious offerings, it's a worthy stop for a satisfying a good cup of coffee.

Collective Espresso consistently has one of the best coffees for years and tasty yet unique menu items that is reasonably priced. Staff are always friendly and service is fantastic no matter how busy they are. Today ordered the porridge which was warm with a burst of sweetness, oat flavours and a creamy texture. Gorgeous garnish. Also had the poached egg with mushroom and beans that was served in a hot low dish with a gravy style sauce which was perfectly mopped up with a thick sourdough bread. Yum!

A very cute place with delicious food!!! It's opposite the Camberwell train station so it's convenient to get a quick bite before heading off. Love the eggs benny and the hot chocolate is also amazing!! Definitely recommend ☀️

Dined here for lunch a few months ago when catching up with an old friend. Nice little café with a good range of food on the menu. I got the Beef Brisket Benny. Presentation was good. Hollandaise was a little bitter for my taste, but generally it tasted good. It is quite a heavy food option (especially with the dense bagel) so couldn't quite finish it which is not like me. Would consider revisiting and perhaps trying something different on the menu.

This is the second time I have been here this year, and both times I have had to chase my order. This time the cafe was not busy. I waited 40 minutes and asked about my order. It had not been entered, and the wait staff had not noticed or checked to see how it was progressing in the mean time. Fifteen minutes later the woman who took my order put it down, saying only, “Sorry for the wait”, without even acknowledging that she hadn’t placed the order almost an hour prior. I was not offered any form of discount or even a complementary coffee when it came time to pay the bill. They obviously do not care about customer service, nor repeat business.

Had an affogato here with a friend and really enjoyed the whole experience even though my knowledge with coffee is limited. Would love to come again to try the rest if their menu!

Waited >40 minutes for food. We were starved by then. But the food filled us up. Barista still managed to do coffee art for everyone even though it was super busy. Now that’s talent.

I’ve been coming here for years and years, since I was in high school and walked down during spare periods for a cheeky brunch. Never have you guys had a better barista than the lovely new guy with the dreadlocks (unsure of his name sorry). Best lattes I’ve had here in forever ☕️
