I went there for high tea on my birthday and it was wonderful! It’s usually hard to find a high tea setting during the weekday but they do it everyday until 2.30pm which is so accessible and convenient! The owner was so hospitable and made me feel extra special on my birthday. I would recommend 10/10 for good service, food, coffee and all around atmosphere. Thank you!

This is the best coffee shop in Doncaster. Me and my friends get coffees there every morning and the owner, Mr Shingle, greets us there each day with a smile. Great service, food and atmosphere. This is the place to be.

Had a lovely lunch at this place. Food was tasty and well presented. There were tables in as well as outside the store. Service could be improved with a warm welcome and smile. The team member looked rather serious and sombre.

Gone here twice. The waiters are lovely and accommodating, and there are multiple options for larger or lighter meals which we found catered to our needs! It has a lovely homemade feel to the food which is satisfying and comforting all at once.

Shingle Inn, has provided me with beautiful coffee every morning before school. Waking up early before the bus to see the hardworking man dedicated to his craft. All it takes is the quick question of how are you, which makes my morning better. Would definitely recommend, amazing coffee and amazing owner Will come again

Hidden gem. Went there early in the morning with entire family for breakfast. Absolutely great atmosphere and service. The food was great and good portion size. The kids fish and chips was good but little one wanted abit more fish so guess I could request that next time. Definitely would be returning.

We get our daily coffee fixes from here. Amzing service and super friendly staffs . Children and wheel chair friendly. Relaxed seating environment. Highly recommended for all ladies catch ups or just have your coffee and relax.

I came here today for lunch with my best friend for his birthday and the staff were so friendly and lovely. He tried to pay - but when I told them he’s not allowed because it’s his birthday all the staff came out to wish him a happy birthday too. It was such a lovely wholesome experience. My daughter wanted to go to Doncaster Westfield to wander around with her 9 mth old twins on a very hot day. I suggested the Shingle Inn for lunch as it is a quiet place with lovely little booths which are very comfortable. From the moment we arrived the beautiful family that have just taken over the cafe 3 mths ago couldn’t do more for us to ensure we were well looked after from the high quality food including wonderful T2 chai tea bag in the Tea pot , prompt food service and amazing care of us. Frar even took one of the twins and entertained him so his Mum. Ould eat and she got party hats for each of them. It was such a perfect place for us to relax and not only have a place for us to eat but we could lay the babies next to us on the seat and feed them. Thankyou for such a beautiful atmosphere and food. We will be making this our go to place in Doncaster. Karyn.

Shingle Inn Doncaster is situated by Coles and Chemist Warehouse so it's very convenient if you want to shop after you eat. The food is high quality & the coffee has a beautiful aroma. I love the calm atmosphere & the friendly owners + staff. I visit this restaurant often.

I love this place - super friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food. I’ve visited numerous times and have been really happy with everything each time. Try their Omelette - freshly made with your choice of ingredients .. fresh and delicious—great value meals and drinks.

I've been coming here recently, and they have been amazing with their service. The group of workers are always super friendly to me, and have always went out of their way to see if everything is fine. I always come here now to grab a cup of coffee. I would highly recommend this place!!!!

Very rude owners. We had 3 adults and 3 kids come for breakfast. I was about 3/4 done with my takeaway coffee from another store and was instantly approached by the rude lady. She said cannot have outside drinks, which I understand fair enough. But her approach and tone were alll wrong. Out of principal we left and took our business elsewhere. Other reviews have mentioned attitude of owner.

Great place located on the ground floor near ANZ, lovely welcoming atmosphere, food is delicious with good pricing and the coffee is 👍🏼 too. Highly recommend if you want to try something new, they even do high tea here!

This cafe has stupid rules I have never experienced at any other cafe. I was waiting for a friend for about 10 mins when I was approached by a waitress who said you can't sit here without ordering, I explained why I hadn't ordered yet as I was waiting for someone, they asked me to leave. This was not the first time it's happened, sometimes I'd come with a take away coffee cup and they'd ask me to leave. But it's also with what attitude the staff would say it with. Today the waitress crossed her arms and watched me till I left. I've never seen this before. It's like walking into a clothing store with a competitors bag and you ask them to leave or return the item before shopping at your store. Unbelievable service. Never heard of such attrousity anywhere else. These people need to learn manners and act more down to earth. Never again. Hope it was worth losing a customer
