I had the Rueben sandwich, was ok but way too much mayo. My friend had the French toast. Next time I'd have her meal. It looked delicious and tasted great. About the venue, very clean and has both a disabled and able bodied bathrooms. Very rare to have both, so I'd say wheelchair accessible. Big step to get into the store, a hand rail would help but not sure where they could attach it. I think it has an entrance from the rear car park for disabled guests. Would recommend this cafe.

Convenient location right next to Blackburn Station. I was quite impressed with my hot chocolate (with the cute artwork) and simple, but tasty eggs on toast that were served up in under 5 minutes. Friendly staff, too.

Bright airy modern cafe. Very spacious with a lovely ambiance. The staff were very welcoming with excellent service. Both the food and coffee did not disappoint.

There was a sign beside the door that said "$10 eggs your way and coffee", so I ordered this (with tea instead) and told them I'd take a seat outside. What came was this, which made it difficult to eat (the plastic cutlery was useless). I wasn't given any salt or sugar either so my food was bland. I'm not sure if this is a COVID thing but a little communication wouldn't hurt. No-one asked if I was planning to eat there or whether I wanted salt for my bland eggs that were sweating into the cardboard. Seeing all the other Google review pics of lovely looking food from there just makes me more annoyed. 2 stars only because the eggs were promising.

I found this place after our coffee machine broke down and I needed to find a cafe open in the burbs on the weekends! Friendly service - we came for brunch. I had the chili scramble which i really liked and my partner had the salt and pepper calamari which he enjoyed Reasonably priced. Busy but not congested. They have a small courtyard out the back

Good coffee. Was made well but didn’t have a darker roast than the standard. Quality cafe with good food and coffee and a hipster vibe. Trendy addition to Blackburn. Food and service seemed decent too. Recommended for a local visit.

Nice little cafe, cosy vibes. The food is on the pricier side but worth it; every element of the meal was delicious, and the coffee was great too. The wait staff were lovely, efficient and attentive, and the food came out really quickly! I'd like it if there were more vegetarian options on the menu, but they were able to swap the meat in the big breakfast for halloumi for me, which I really appreciated. Will likely go again!

Their fresh juice is super nice and the best part is they don't put ice into it. Staff are very friendly and food is nice. Had mushroom halloumi burger my mum loved their chips (she usually have one / two but this time she didn't leave me much). Also staff would make recommendations if unsure what to order. Have to try their crab burger next time too , it looked amazing.

Came here with my sister recently for some brunch and the food was delicious. They had really large servings as well which was nice. I don't think I've had such a good coffee in a long time as well so if you're into good coffee then this is the spot for you. Highly recommend if you're in the area. We sat out in the back courtyard which was nice but the inside was really nicely laid out too

Coffee is nice But breakfast, ordered poached eggs and as you can see in the photos looks like boiled well certainly overcooked hollandaise sauce is not home-made terrible why can’t people just make home-made hollandaise sauce it’s not hard ( just come back for coffee. Only ) there are better places.

Had the beautiful veggie stack for brunch and my husband had eggs Benedict (minus the extra stuff- just kept it simple) Was good quality ingredients and big serves. We really enjoyed the food and highly recomended. One of the better cafes along the strip.

Absolutely delicious, high quality breakfast. I ordered the big breakfast, Berry n Banana juice and a small latte, for my wife and I to share. We both agreed that this will be one of our new favourites for a weekend breakfast trip.

We can highly recommend Black Alchemy Cafe in Blackburn! Cosy but spacious, bright, outdoor and indoor seating, great coffee and food! Had the 'Vege Stack', with halloumi cheese and pesto sauce with gluten free bread. Sooo good. $21.

Meals very nice, average price, chips were awesome. Lovely ambience. Went there for mums 80th luncheon with family and friends. Rear access off laneway suitable for wheelchairs. 1 hour parking out the front but 3 hour in the carpark across the road to the rear for those wanting to relax.

Food was very average. Ordered a creamy pumpkin soup which tasted and looked like orange water!

Really big portions for lunch. Pictured are the halloumi and mushroom burger ($22) and fried chicken burger ($25), both were delicious.

This is my go to local cafe! I usually treat myself to breakfast. I am a foodie so am picky when it comes to the quality of food. The food is well cooked, tasty and well presented. The organic brewed tea is good quality and served in a teapot which equates to at least 3 cups. The price is worth the quality. Customer service varies depending on server and quantity of clientele but, overall I would rate it b/w average to friendly.

Nice little cafe. If it's a sunny day- the outside courtyard is a pleasant spot to eat. Cafe was busy but not congested, food was tasty and reasonably priced and service was good. 👍 Don't park out front if you are eating in for a leisurely lunch- there is a free 2 hr carpark in the street behind the cafe

This Cafe accommodates for babies/toddlers with a shelf full of books and lots of toys. The food and coffee is amazing and is very affordable. They have lots of seating and friendly staff

It was a nice place to catch up with friends for breakfast. There are a few tables outside in the back of the cafe that create a cozy space that I highly recommend. Food was good

We had the most amazing breakfast at Black Alchemy Cafe today! I wish I had taken a photo because the food was delightfully presented and absolutely delicious. I had the veggie stack- sweet tender red peppers with spinach, button mushrooms and a lemony avocado sauce (?) Poached eggs done exactly as I asked for and crunchy toast. My friend had an avocado and smoked salmon dish that looked amazing with seaweed chips! Very creative and super Yummy! Great atmosphere, really nice and relaxing (no crashing dishes or banging coffee machines). Coffee was fabulous, creamy and hot. 10 out of 10! Lovely wait staff too. Don't miss out, go and check it out! Thanks guys!
