Was a wonderful to sitting under the sun, getting some tan, very first time here and surprisingly it’s clean and neat. Well organised and definitely busy and no pressure for them to holding that much people. If you choose to sit down having some lunch, you’re sort of in luck, they are pretty busy, make sure you make a reservation, or else, just ask the friendly staff for a seat. the food would not disappoint you for sure, you can order from the counter, or the table via QR code. And the food comes right away. Salt and pepper Calamari definitely recommended. Crunchy but not chewy. Gnocchi were nice. Pizza are the best. Feel like this all are the best combination. And sometime there is few cute little animal visiting, don’t be scared, they are nice and chill.

A lovely place to have drinks and food when the weather is nice. The renovations have been done very well and there's a lot of seating inside and out. I felt that the starters were probably better than the mains and whilst I loved the pizza base, the actual pizza could've had more flavour. Service was pretty good. Some waiters were more helpful than others but decent on the whole.

Studley Park Boathouse is a nice relaxing place to visit when you’ve had enough of the hustle and bustle of the city. ☀️The sunny bits: Nothing beats the peaceful environment around this joint. We had a lovely walk before settling down to vacuum up a couple of their fresh pastries while sitting under the shade. The apricot danish was delicious. Top marks for the rhubarb danish as well. The flaky buttery pastry melted in our mouths. Service was lovely and efficient. ☁️The cloudy bits: Hmmm…nothing that I can come up with this visit. ⭐️The forecast: Great food, lovely service and an amazing environment makes this place a triple threat!😁

Such a beautiful place for the whole family, couples, singles, the elderly. A very pretty boathouse set amongst beautiful natural surrounds. Lots of birds, ducks, native birds, a kiosk and upstairs cafe. Take out a row boat. Be safe. Delicious scones made on site with jam and cream. Go for a walk, sit and eat, row, feed the ducks, have a picnic or BBQ. Something for everyone.

This is one of the good place to visit with your little one or young ones as well. This place got the natural greenery and got beautiful Yarra River where you can enjoy boating 🛶. This place is also good for BBQ 🍗 as they have lots of preparation there already just get your stuff with you. Parking could be an issue as normally people spend 4-5 hours average there, so please be mindful to come early and get your parking. If you live to ride the cycling 🚴‍♂️ and you can bring your cycle as well as there are some nice tracks around there. Hope you guys find it helpful for your next visit. Cheers

Beautiful view, animal friendly environment! The food was mid, and I don't really recommend the steak (tough and sauce was nothing special), but the prawn roll was good! Friendly staff and nice service. There was absolutely nowhere to park.

Melbourne iconic location! I've always wanted to check it out and I finally did on an unusually warm 19° August winters day. Which made for a special feel to the place. There were ducks and swans basking in the glorious winter sun and people meandering the banks of the river, seated for food, drinks and just to take it all in. Definitely a must do for your melbourne must do list. And also take a stroll across the bridge.

Lovely park that is situated close to the city. Great picnic facilities and full of a variety of birds. We saw a large blue tongue lizard lumbering across the pathway. Food parking, toilet facilities and the boathouse has a cafe and boat hire.

A fantastic newly renovated Studley Park Boathouse experience! I have been here twice recently and the venue, team and menu were excellent! The steak is great and the staff kindly replaced the fries with salad for us. The wine and beer selection is also brilliant. There is a kids playground and ice cream station to keep families entertained. A fantastic meal and will definitely return many times in the future! Fantastic!

My friends and I had the most pleasant experience at Studley Park Boathouse in Kew! The friendly attendants made our visit enjoyable, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of. I was particularly impressed by the convenient QR Code ordering system, which made the entire process smooth and efficient. What truly sets Studley Park Boathouse apart is its setting. It is by the riverside, the atmosphere is simply calming, especially in the warmer weather. The surroundings added to the charm of our visit. I can’t recommend Studley Park Boathouse enough for anyone looking to unwind, and soak in the nature. A big thank you to the staff for their warm hospitality! I’ll definitely be returning soon!

A group of 4 of us went to Studley Boathouse for a Saturday morning kayak and brunch, and it was an amazing experience. The kayaking was great fun, especially when we got to be temporary neighbours with the ducks and geese and other water fowl - they were so cute and happy, entirely unfazed by all the people. The weather was perfect for such an activity. I would recommend you bring a change of clothes just in case you get a little soaked like we did, but otherwise, great fun. Afterwards, we had a long brunch and spent 2-3 hours just basking in the sun and the good vibes. The cafe is so well-appointed, it doesn't matter where you sit, you have great views. The service was awesome - polite, attentive, and efficient. There was a bit of a mix up with the drinks and even after it had been corrected, half an hour later, a waitress still came back to check on us and make sure everything was all good. Obviously, because it's such a great spot, it does get busy and there can be quite a lot of people, so I'd recommend coming early to secure a car park if you can. But it's honestly such a great place - we'll definitely be coming back and inviting more friends to join us next time.

Beautiful location to enjoy delicious food and drink with fresh green nature environments to recharge your soul. New dinning spaces and menus available all day long with breakfast until 11:30am then lunch & dinner menu. Great choice for a big group gathering or private function.

What a fantastic spot. We attempted to come here a few weeks ago, but gave up due to lack of parking. Thankfully this time we found a parking spot surprisingly fast (note: next time we’ll park on the other side of the river. A short walk across the bridge revealed plenty of available parking on that side). We were also surprised to get a table straight away, with the front of house being nice, polite and efficient. In fact, that was the whole experience for the most part, with the only issue being one of our three dishes seemingly getting lost on the way to the table and having to be chased up. It finally arrived 30 minutes after everything else we ordered. But when it did arrive, it did so with an apology from the waiter. It seemed like a genuine and rare mistake. The setting is fantastic, with a great buzz too. Also, I rarely get food envy, but we were there just long enough to see the menu change from breakfast to lunch and the calamari being delivered to the next table looked amazing!

We took quite a large group to the Boathouse high tea. While the adults enjoyed the high tea, the kids ordered burgers & chips from the menu. The high tea food was great, we had so much food we couldn’t get through it all.

Arrived here as a group of 4 on a pleasant Sunday around 6pm and were shown to a table immediately. Food was good. A kind of pub grub but better. The chook schnitzel was well coated in crunchy crumbs and the meat was thick and juicy. My burger was delicious - the chips weren't great. Dessert was good and the scones excellent. Service was good until dessert. We waited a long time to get it as the evening wore on. Ordering could be done by QR code or at the counter. Everything else came quickly. A picturesque venue by the river with a good crowd - geese dropped in for a visit as non-paying customers. Parking is tight at this time and you have to walk down an incline to the restaurant. Recommend you try it.

Calm and tranquil outdoor seating overseeing the river. Boats can be taken for a quick voyage. Food and service are awesome. Recommend the wood fire pizza. There’s a small playground area for kids. Suitable for couple or single. When it’s cold, outdoor seating is mostly heated. Open until 10:30 pm.

We have visited this place for a number of times and no doubt will continue to go back. This place boasts beautiful spaces for a catch up, to unwind or just be one with nature. Dishes are reasonably priced and are as delicious as they look. For someone who isn’t big on lamb- the lamb skewers were truly mouth watering! The pizza and the Caesar salad came with a good portion and was tasty too. Unfortunately for this particular visit we encountered a tiny mishap, but rest assured the floor staff immediately addressed the situation and looked after us the best way possible. Really wish I got her name as she was radiating with such joyous energy despite the poor weather. Would also like to commend the kitchen staff for the yummy food and quick service! Definitely recommend 😇❤️

The food, vibe, view’s everything was excellent. Amazing coffee too I went there with my girlies on a long weekend, it was really busy and the table we got was partly uncovered for a hot sunny day, and no arrangements could be made when we asked.. was a bit turn off if wished to stay longer. Rest everything was super! Boat ride was wonderful too, we made the right choice and booked an hour before to avoid waiting and availability issues..

Spur of the moment decision to take the family out to dinner and was very impressed. The location is beautiful, and we dines right over the river. The cocktails were very good and the food was really nice, and prompt. Kids options were good too. The birds to look at, and close play ground were great for the kids. Will definitely come again.

Lovely venue with a good menu! Unfortunately, when my friends and I dined here for a special occasion we were very disappointed with the lack of service and excessive wait times (up to an hour for a drink). Staff were very dismissive when we asked if we could move to a shadier table that was in direct sun on a 35 degree day, despite there being quite a few tables available at the time. Once we found a new table ourselves, staff at the bar refused to get our drinks delivered to our new table even when provided with the new table number. We wished it could have been a more positive experience as it really is a lovely atmosphere at Studley Park.

I had a wonderful time at Studley Park Boathouse, Kew. The place is beautiful and serene, with a stunning view of the Yarra River and the park. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was exceptional. They made me feel welcome and comfortable. The food was delicious and satisfying. I ordered the Schnitzel, which was covered in a purple and white slaw and served with a lemon wedge and a small dish of sauce. The Schnitzel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the portion was generous. The slaw was fresh and crunchy, and the sauce was tangy and creamy. The lemon added a nice touch of acidity and freshness. It was one of the best Schnitzels I have ever had. The place was bustling with people, which is no wonder because it’s a great place to eat quality food in a scenic location. I was impressed by how well they handled the crowd and maintained their high standards of service. I highly recommend Studley Park Boathouse, Kew to anyone looking for a great dining experience in a scenic location. It is a historic and charming place that offers quality food and service. I will definitely come back again. Thank you, Studley Park Boathouse, Kew, for a memorable meal.

Good, basic selection of lunchy, brunchy foods and sweets. Beverages include alcohol, when the bar is open. Tables, under big umbrellas, with a great view. Some easy and interesting walking tracks.

I booked for the Studley park boathouse garden pods high tea for 4, we had such a wonderful time, something I had to write home about The setting was stunning, the food was amazing (best high tea I had in Melbourne so far) both savoury and the sweet choices are delicious. Our service staff Cat (or Kat) is well presented, friendly and tentative. My friends and I are all very impressed with the quality (and quantity, we all had take home boxes) of this high tea offering, highly recommended. Oh, did I mention the spot is photogenic too?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Studley Park Boathouse, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. The restaurant's location, nestled by the lakeside, provided an absolutely amazing view that added a touch of tranquility to the entire dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. Their attentiveness and professionalism were truly commendable. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the staff managed to keep everything organized and running smoothly. One thing that stood out to me was the short waiting time to be seated. It was refreshing to see that the restaurant had an efficient system in place to accommodate its guests promptly. This allowed me to start enjoying the beautiful surroundings and soak in the atmosphere without any unnecessary delays. When it came to the food, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable amount of time it took for our meals to arrive. The waitstaff ensured that our orders were promptly taken and the kitchen worked efficiently to deliver our food in a timely manner. This allowed us to enjoy our meals without feeling rushed. Speaking of the food, the portions were incredibly generous. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The variety on the menu catered to different tastes, and there was something for everyone. However, the only downside was that the chicken schnitzel had a burnt crumb, which was a minor disappointment (as you can see in the picture). Overall, my experience at the Studley Park Boathouse was exceptional. The lakeside view, friendly staff, and efficient service created a memorable dining experience. Despite the small hiccup with the chicken schnitzel, the restaurant's overall quality and attention to detail were impressive. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment for a delightful meal with a stunning view. PS: I changed my rating to 5 stars 🌟 after your professional approach and lovely reply. Happy to be there again asap!

This place has great atmosphere and seating options for sunny days. Good for big groups if you book ahead. While most of the food is decent, the menu is pretty limited. Stick with the pizzas and give chicken snitzel a miss (burnt, dry, tough, tastless).

  • 1/5 Adi W. 3 months ago on Google New
This is a beautiful place, but the fact it is beautiful does not make up for the very low quality of the overpriced food!!! It all tastes like premade frozen food, the pizza was uncooked, and the chicken schnitzel came with a mountain of a salad with no fries and was dry as! Even the Muffins tasted like they were from the day before… Come for a coffee, enjoy the views and do not more than that!! It is such a shame that a place with such a great potential is leaving such a bad impression.

Staff was very welcoming and driedCame on a hot day and had a table in the sun but the staff moved us into the shade which was extremely nice of them to do. Had the steak and lamb flat bread. Both were absolutely delicious. Would 100% recommend coming here and enjoy lunch with the view of the Yarra

I came here for a birthday brunch and not bad! Had scrambled and baked eggs both were nice however were slightly cold as well as our espressos. However, the staff were happy to change our coffees. Overall, the vibe is great with nice views. MUST BOOK ON WEEKEND as line was giant

A lovely setting next to the river and great for a lunchtime meal. Staff were amazing, and our dog was allowed to sit with us outside. You can order from the table via your phone, and the food came out promptly, even on a public holiday. The food was delicious, and the seasoning on the fries was great! Seating inside was also available, and we were genuinely impressed when we visited here.

3.5 STARS This is a review on their Sunday high tea. The positives: • good staff • great view • the scones were nice • the dairy free food was good The negatives: • most of the desserts seemed like store bought (Costco maybe) • the rice in sliced salifornia roll was very dry so assume that meant it was old Will need to revisit them again after a few more months of post COVID normality.

Booked one of the summer pods today for brunch that comes with free 30mins row boat experience. The idea concept is great and food standards are above average. Would like to take this opportunity to praise our waitress (we forgot to take her name) who served us at the pod and assisted at the boat rental for her excellent service. Unfortunately the rest of the waitress isn't that great and could do better by giving a little more attention as well as friendlier service.
