What a beautiful cafe. The decor is so nice. Staff friendly. They even made my friend a new dish when hers was served cold. We were here when it opened, so disappointing that the toilets were not as clean as one might expect in the morning. Food was good. My friends porridge tasted great. My french toast was good, bacon was cold, but I enjoyed it.

A great spot for brunch down a leafy laneway close to Melbourne Central. A number of vegan options on the menu. I had the Avo Affair which was made of smashed avo, crispy kale, radish, cherry tomatoes, pickled cabbage, dukkah, mixed nuts w/multigrain toast. They replaced the egg and feta with mushrooms for the vegan dish. Really delicious! The atmosphere of this place is also great - it has a rustic industrial interior with exposed brick walls, and cute fairy lights. There was a ~15m wait but the line moved quickly and there are lots of seats inside.

The menu has interesting and creative dishes. They were nice but I thought the taste could be better. Their service was friendly but quite slow given how busy they always were. The place itself is really nice too maybe getting loud when so busy and a lot of movement happening around so not so much a place to be if you want to chill and relax.

Our first saturdate in years! Found this mysterious cafe behind huge doors Coffee was 5/5 Food was 3/5 Overall 4/5 Shakshuka was too sour for my preference. Zucchini & corn fritters was nice but we can taste that it has been fried in old oil unfortunately. #bulgogi_n_rendang

The food? Amazing. The vibe? Amazing. The coffee? AMAZING. 10/10 would live in this place if possible. Only weird thing was the random surcharges on top that they don't inform you of until you pay. Like, 4% for card and 10% for a weekend.

A very enjoyable trip to Krimper, we had a very awesome brunch here, although we spent like 20mins waiting outside for seats since it’s a rush hour I guess. The food was great but salty but matching with the bread and watermelon tomato makes it taste good, we ordered a coffee and definitely made the brunch better, overall I will recommend this place for family or friends gathering for a quick noon tea or food grabbing.

Nice cafe inside cbd. Parking is a little hard, and it mostly has to be paid parking unless Sunday or some short parking is available on a street nearby. Easy to catch the tram 🚊. I have visited this place multiple times. It gets quite busy on the weekend morning. If you arrive after 10, there is queue most times. The food is pretty good here. There ham and cheese croissant, eggs Benedict some of the dishes i really like. They make awesome coffee ☕️. The staff are very friendly and the service is pretty good.

The best place to relax and get ready for starting the new day in Melbourne cbd, the food tastes so good, i love the sausage and roasted tomato and the spinach 🫶🏻💖 the space between the table is so so nice, this is the very first affordable place in Melbourne cbd that I didn’t feel too packed while eating😭coffee is good! People are nice and lovely! I love the peaceful atmosphere and the movement of people coming in and out while I can enjoy my eating space!!! Definitely coming back!!

Really nice lunch spot and you pass some very interesting doorways in Guildford Lane, which I really wanted to knock on because I am sure their interiors would be just as interesting. They only take reservations for 8 or more except they have special table for 4 that can be reserved, so we reserved that. Weird like we were sitting in a box but anyway food nice. Vegetarian burger, big breakfast, corn and zucchini fritters and avo smash. Also prosecco red wine, beers and coffees (soy lattes, flat whites). However when wanted to order 2nd round of prosecco waitperson said they didn't have any. OK very limited wine list said sparkling so what did they have? She came back and said they had prosecco. What. Oh dear.

I love the ambience of this cafe. A very nice place to chill out and have a coffee. Speaking of the coffee it was very good and I am in love with the bacon, egg and waffle breakfast. The perfect combination of salty and sweet. I cannot wait to try the other items!

Love the ambience of this place. It’s a great place to come and chill with friends. The flat white tasted amazing - I highly recommend that 👍🏻👍🏻 I ordered an Avo toast (can’t remember the exact name in the menu) with a side of bacon. It was a very generous portion of mashed avocado but the seasoning was lacking. The bacon was pretty greasy as well.. Will definitely come back but I’ll try another dish.

Understated and unpretentious whilst being marvellously Melbourne. The waffle with bacon, mixed berry compote, pistachios, and karage chicken was the best thing I’ve eaten in some time. Accompanied by a delicious fresh juice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although busy and noisy, I was able to take time out and read my library book. The whole experience was delightful. Do yourself a favour…

Krimper cafe is located in one of the coolest location in Melbourne. They offer delicious food and it is a good serving sizes. And it has nice and comfortable atmosphere with cozy interior. However you need to be aware of there is a long time for the food to be served! But i still love this place as it is worth to visit!

Hidden cafe tucked in a quiet beautiful street. Crowded and busy, expect some waiting. Lots of locals, definitely a good spot for brunch. Excellent service - waiter took your coffee/tea order as they sat you down at the table, before waiting for your food order. There was no urgency to rush you to place food orders. They checked in with you after you start having your meal. Excellent food. Ordered Belgium waffles with bacon. A good mix of sweet and savoury. Good attention to detail. Instagramable plating.

The entrance is tucked away in a hidden alley in the bustling city. I fell in love with their mushroom dish. It has a simple and unassuming appearance, yet the seasoning is absolutely spot on. It reminds me of the flavors from my hometown, perhaps that's why I have a special affinity for it.

This is an absolutely fantastic cafe. Lots of seating avaliable, and you will get served very promptly. They have an incredibly delectable menu to pick from both from breakfast and lunch, servings are very large and well worth the price.

Guildford lane is such a cute spot in the city and this cafe carries it through with interesting decor throughout. The food is really good. Ours came out after tables around us who arrived later than us.

Chorizo is the only well prepared thing. Not worth the money, especially with the poor service and VERY long wait time. We ordered coffee with syrups but it came with nothing in it. Besides, it took us more than 20 minutes to order from the male staff and took another 45 minutes to get our dishes. Look elsewhere for a better brunch.

Cool alley to walk down to get to a cool cafe with a funky vibe. Enjoyed the coffee. A Bit lighter flavour than my preference but was well made. Had a mushroom shakushuka... made the cardinal sin of serving the tomato base with tinned tomatoes that were sour (oh no, got to cook down and sweeten up those tinned tomatoes). For that price need to get the basics right.

The Alley that leads to the entrance of Krimper Cafe is beautifully planted with green vines and plants which stood out from the old brickwall and pavement giving it a very attractive facade to the Cafe. The staff were polite, helpful and certainly very efficient too as even with a crowd, we didn't have to wait too long to be served.. I enjoyed the Almond French toast and the coffee which were served to please both the eye and the palate. In general, it was a great breakfast experience.

A very popular cafe with a lovely interior - not surprising to see a queue, even on a weekday. French toast is my fav breakfast dish and I was looking forward to trying their version (Almond French Toast) but was disappointed to be informed they'd run out that morning. Kudos to the helpful staff who managed to locate some so I got to try it after all :) It was yummy Their coffee was not the best I've had in Melbourne, but overall I enjoyed my experience at Krimper and I'll come back again on my next visit to Melbourne

One of our favourite places to go for brunch and definitely one that we would recommend for friends visiting. Love the setting. I believe it’s in an old warehouse because the doors to the streets are very large wooden doors. I love the industrial feel and warm tones of the furniture. I had a tofu chilli scramble which was just stunning. Good texture and great taste. Nice heat from the gochujang. And the matcha here was great.

It was the wonderful cafe in Brick lane!! The cafe is so popular, and interior is beautiful. We had egg Benedict and chicken waffle. Food was also superb! Coffee is made by Maker coffee beans. Better in early morning or weekdays as popular! We wanna come back. Thanks!

Enjoyed by breakfast here .. bacon and waffle with a serve of chicken Karrage. The latte was a tad weak. Waffle with bacon was delicious, Karrage chicken was tasty but a bit dry on the inside. Overall still a great place for breakfast , service was good .

Delicious brunch, well worth the wait! We had the fritters and the new prawn scramble, which were both delicious. Coffee and tea both excellent. We arrived about 10am on a Sunday, so peak hour. It was about an hour from joining queue to food. Highly recommend being proactive and getting your name down on the list. When busy they will come through the queue but it may speed your passage! Friendly team and a buzzing vibe rounded off the experience. Easy access for wheelchairs and prams being on one level.

INCREDIBLE service. The staff was so kind and were engaged in genuine conversation. I went with some friends and we had: Ice chai latte, ice almond latte and an ice matcha (all were pretty strong, I had the ice matcha and really liked it as it was sufficiently sweet as well). We also had: Loaded fries (3.75/5 really good chips, just needed some more salt and a little more guac - we probably could have asked for more guac though, and we just didn't realise that there was salt on the table) Avo Affair (4/5 delicious, as avocado toast is. Bread was multigrain and super yummy. They also had little cherry tomatoes and a slice of lemon which was nice and flavourful) Bacon and waffles (5/5 LOVED. We all devoured it, and agreed that we would all get it again. The berry compote was less mashed and contained whole berries which I liked. Bacon was perfectly cooked and waffle wasn't too sweet). Overall, would go again! The atmosphere was really beautiful and a great little den for a brunch and a late coffee!

Been wanting to try out this cafe for a while. Service was okay, some of the staff were polite, some others not as much. The cafe is located in a cute lane way and the interior is beautifully decorated which creates a great atmosphere. It is just a bit noisy but that is expected as it was busy. The food on the other hand was not what I expected, quite ordinary in taste. The Almond French toast lacked flavour and overall I was left wishing I ordered something else, although a positive was the presentation was beautiful. My partner had the chicken burger which was fine, again nothing special. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but not a great one either.

Beautiful interiors and a good variety of delicious brunch options! It’s always busy though so expect a queue. We got lucky today because we got a table straight away, but the queue started to build up not long after. In photos: Almond French Toast with Bacon & Eggs Benny with Bulgogi 😋

A hidden treasure nestled in Brick Lane within the city. This quaint restaurant boasts an old-world charm, with its furnishings crafted from repurposed lift doors. Serving up delicious coffee, 😋😋 it's also a charming spot for a date. 🫢🫢thanks to its tranquil atmosphere and vintage vibes, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Krimper cafe is an insta-worthy cafe that offers nice vibe. But, that's where the fun ended for us. Our experience was mix of good and bad as far as the food is concerned. Although, the Chai served was very nice, coffee was extremely weak even with.3/4th cup full. The French toast was extremely sweet and lacked the flavors mentioned. Not to forget the portion, especially for the price you pay. The burger was awesome but not enough as a meal on its own. Like mentioned earlier, if the portions are small for the price you pay, not consistently tasty, and if you need to order something more even after ordering individual portions of a meals, then that's a problem. Hospitality is topnotch!! Yet, avoidable.

Spacious place, with good food & great coffee. We ordered the Almond French Toast (Almond spread brioche, poached pear, pistachio, seasonal fruits, raspberry mascarpone, meringue), and Eggs Benny with Smoked Salmon (served w/ poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, spinach, shichimi, fried shallots on English muffins). French Toast wasn't sweet, which is perfect as the plate was loaded with fruits. Egg Benny was perfectly cooked. They can get packed on the weekends, so try to come early.

Happened to chance upon this dog friendly cafe in one of the many laneways in Melbourne. The staff were very nice in accommodating our small dog as she can be quite barky whenever a stranger approaches. Even though it was getting crowded they manage to get us a table that was not close to others. Kudos for that. Food is more of a Korean fusion which was not too bad. The bulgogi Eggs Benedict is interesting as the flavours somehow work.Coffee was alright as well. Prices are kinda expected for a cafe in Melbourne.

→ Generous and delicious servings - our meal kept us full for the entire day. We ordered the burgers and they were so yummy! → Fantastic customer service! Staff were friendly and welcoming. → Ambience of the cafe was lovely - big open space with natural light. Will definitely be returning.

Krimper cafes one of the places we've passed by so many times that we thought we'd give it a go. A few people on the wait list didn't turn up when their name was called so on Sunday midday after a 10 minute wait we found ourselves seated in the cosy pleasantly noisy interior of Krimper. The almond cappuccino and flat white we ordered came quickly and were average. The menu painted a really nice picture of the baked shakshuka and the kimchi scramble, especially the latter so we waited for a while for them, natural given the cafe was crowded and buzzing. The food didn't live up to what the menu said though. The baked shakshuka was pretty much a poached egg and seasoned grilled mushrooms sat atop baked beans accompanied by a single extremely buttered piece of white toast. Perhaps a variation on the traditional shakshuka? If it is it wasn't for us. I expected the kimchi scramble to be eggs scrambled with kimchi, the menu said gochujang tofu and perhaps I was mistaken to think it might be fried tofu tossed in gochujang. I was mistaken in both my assumptions, very well scrambled egg topped with a bit of delicious kimchi all of it sat on two pieces of well toasted focaccia and scattered with a few pieces of fried tofu all in a plate painted with gochujang sauce. Perhaps I expected too much but I blame the nicely written menu. An average experience overall with very friendly and attentive staff.

What an amazing space. Vibrant and busy but only a short wait. The brekkt was spot on. Waffles and Bacon with a pair of fried eggs. Cooked perfectly. Waffle was firm and a little crunch. The bacon was at the point of crunch just spot on. The fried eggs were solid with a just the right amount of runny. Krimper is an awesome brekky/brunch spot

nice cafe, very good ambience, prices were as expected as far as city cafes go. ordered avo on toast, wasn't salted and was only given pepper on the table so bit annoyed there. could have just asked for a salt shaker however so no points there. they had an online menu with table service however after I asked for a real menu it was provided so no points off there. overall a very nice cafe, recommend it and would visit again.

Cool atmosphere for brunch spot and serves really good coffee. If it's busy, then you can go to the Brick Lane Cafe on the other side and vice versa.

It's always busy so expect to wait for up to 30 minutes to get a table. There's a reason behind that and I certainly wouldn't like to eat at an empty cafe. Nice decor and atmosphere and the food is of a high quality that doesn't break your bank! I had the Egg Benedict which was perfect with nice sauce. Add a tasty Chai latte with pleasant staff, I couldn't think of a better way to start a day walking the city.

Tried their egg Benedict with beef bulgogi, beef was a bit chewy and egg was a bit overcooked. Food and drinks were just fair, decorations and vibe was exceptional tho. Cute little place hidden in an aisle, like a secret garden, nice place to spend time.

Krimper has a very nice atmosphere, relaxed, cosy, and comfortable. I could see myself spending a long time sitting at a little table in the corner. We enjoyed the chai, and the food was nice. Good serving sizes, and the eggs Benny was clean plate club. The French toast was ok, a little too sweet without anything to balance it with, and not as much flavour as I'd hoped, but still pleasant. Worth a visit, particularly on a cold day when looking for a cosy place to stop.

Such a groovy cafe offering all day breakfast. This place is tucked away in a hidden Melbourne lane and is definitely worth the visit. Great service, a large section of both breakfast and lunch options, and delcious coffee. My partner and I both ordered poached eggs on toast and added on some extras. The food came out really quickly and was really decently priced.

Located in one of the picturesque alleys of Melbourne, Krimper Cafe offers delicious food and excellent customer service. The Macha latte was really yummy and I wish I have ordered the large size instead of regular. When most of the cafes these days specialises on minimalism, Krimper is still not ready to gave up the memories of good old days. While many would find this idyllic style with not well lit interior quite attractive, I am not a big fan of it. I wish there was outdoor seating. The service was top notch and the Asian ladies were extremely courteous. I tried brunch by myself for the first time and I wish I chose somewhere quieter. Don’t get me wrong, this place is very good for large groups. But if you are someone who is looking to have some mindfulness, or even to get some work done, then I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great coffee and great service! Lunch visit with four friends and the seats were quite tight for four people. Corn fritters were sold out at around 1:30pm...we ordered Avo toast, egg Benedict and big breakfast. Egg Benedict sauce was creamy which matches with bread. Not big portions but lil but pricey. I would come back for coffee but not for lunch.

Discover this charming hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city, offering a cozy ambiance that will make you feel right at home. Known for its affordable yet scrumptious breakfast options and delightful coffee, this place is a true delight for your taste buds. But it's not just the food and drinks that make this spot special; it's the impeccable service delivered with a smile and the tranquil atmosphere that invites you to unwind and enjoy your time. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast fix or a place to savor a leisurely morning, this establishment is worth not just one, but multiple visits.

the food & location are wonderful. the interior is a rustic & lofty which complements the plant-filled alley. they were very clearly understaffed. what was meant to be a quick brunch ended with a 20 minute wait to be seated (as expected on a Sunday), and over an hour to get our orders on the table. the workers there were extremely sweet & lovely people. They repeatedly apologised for the delays & issues, no biggie, i could empathise. if you don't mind your company & aren't starving, the food is well worth the wait! their coffee is also great. reasonable pricing for the portions & taste ($30 for a coffee & main, including weekend/card surcharges)

Food and drinks were delicious. My partner asked for a couple of changes to the waffle meal he got which were handled without any fuss. Both meals were presented nicely, and well proportioned. The vibe generally was also pretty nice. It was fairly busy around brunch time, we didn't have to wait for a table but we saw a few people after us did. Service was excellent, and this is definitley going on the list of places I'd revisit (and suggest to others!) Only disappointment was the broken toilet seat in the accessible toilet, but it seemed like it would be an easy fix so hopefully that's been taken care of!

Such a great vibe inside this old warehouse. The service was quick and the food delicious. A sharper knife wouldn't have gone astray though trying to cut the sourdough. Also the bench seating was way too high for the table, felt like I was bending down so much to eat and my feet couldn't touch the floor

  • 3/5 Barry 1 year ago on Google
The café has a rustic interior converted from a warehouse and is dimly lit. Coffee was decent and the almond french toast was crunchy outside which was fine, probably a little overcooked as the edges were charred. The fruits were sweet and tasty but would have preferred some sauce or more mascarpone cream as the french toast felt dry towards the end. Overall tasty but small portion size.

came alone, I ordered one takeaway and one burger for dining in, I forgot to grab the receipt so I'm not sure if they charged the takeaway bag. The juice is at an ok price while it tastes delicious. They gave enough sauce for the chips, however the beef patty can really improve a lot, still oily mouth after one entire glass of green juice and water.
