Great food, good decor and very friendly staff except for the male staff member at the counter. He was disgruntled and moody, and was visibly annoyed when trying to work out which table we were at to settle the bill. This minor bad experience didn't spoil our otherwise enjoyable lunch but regrettably cannot be a 5 star rating.

Absolutely delicious and delectable. Not the last time I’ll be here. Their coffee to start with was great. A little more butter than I like it (long black), but a nice different. The food was absolutely mind blowing though. The French toast was amazing! It’s done with their own flair and twist, not something over ever had before anywhere else and just fall off your chair, call home good.

The staff are friendly. There have large dinning area just at the back of the house. The hot cake taste differently , especially the texture, a little bit crispy outside but puffy and soft inside. The prawns sandwich is large protion.

Little gem in Balwyn offering outdoor seating, good coffee, yummy croissant, and the new summer menu looks great! Have tried some lunch dishes, so affordable. I highly recommend it!

A great cafe which had plenty of parking down the side street and isn’t at the busy end of the Balwyn shopping centre. It’s been tastefully decorated and there’s heaps of space inside and out. The courtyard is very pleasant. There’s also a private little room inside too. The menu is okay and the food was tasty. Coffee was lovely too. Service was good.

Lovely Cafe a little past the busiest section. The food was amazing, just a little different from your standard fare. I had a delicious mushroom soup and my companion had an amazing chocolate brioche French toast. YUM!

Awesome beans, very special flat white. Excellent Ebi Katsu Sando. Better to share! With more salad dressing! Great backyard sitting with sunshine!

It's been a long time since my last visit. I heard that it's under new management, so I went there to give it a try. The coffee is good, the food was fresh, however serving of my order is small, so I ordered an extra egg. Would wish they added vegetarian option to the lunch menu.

Overall experience is amazing!!!The chicken is crispy and juicy but not oily. The taste of omelette is dynamic and unique never had such great taste from anywhere else. I also really like the tea egg roll, trust me you will fall in love with it when you have the first bite of it .

Start with a batch brew and soy latte, both are great. Can’t go wrong with ONA beans. Crispy eggs and mushroom scramble for the food. It’s ok.

I often think about the crispy eggs from Mr Hendricks. The rest of the menu looks great too, but the crispy eggs have a hold on me..I am yet to branch out. Outdoor area is awesome- different levels and shady with the trees. Also, the knives are cool 😅 Good location. Easy parking up the side street. 109 tram right there.

Everyone has a local and this is ours! The coffee is consistent and the menu has a range of unique options (ebi katsu sando being my favourite!). The majority of staff are welcoming and attentive and the cafe itself offers a beautiful outdoor courtyard with heating

Best ever cafe experience we had in Melbourne. They attended so much little details to enhance our 'have a cup of' coffee brunch experience at outdoor. Back yard is homey and relaxing, Their signature crispy eggs do warm up ourselves in this chilly and rainy morning. Young lady who served us was very patient with lovely smile. Talk to the coffee lady, she is passionate to share their special coffee bean they use for a signature coffee taste. All these little bit of designed details aroused our interest, wanting to know the owner who started up and designed the cafe, he/she really cares about customer experience, not just spreadsheet and P/L . This is definitely the kind of cafe that we are willing to come more often, if within 30min driving range. Keep it up, Mr. Hendricks!
