Industry Beans is my current go-to coffee spot in Fitzroy. The coffee is excellent as you would expect, but what keeps me coming back is the beautiful ambience and great food and service. This place ticks all the boxes! The photos are all from separate visits, but I would say the scrambled eggs are my favourite item I’ve tried. You know a cafe is good when they nail the scrambled eggs; not too runny, not too dry, and the toast done just right, not hard as a rock! I love the white, bright ambience and decor. It’s clean and “science-y” without being cold. The acoustics are good, the seating is comfortable. It’s a great place to meet friends, as well as for a solo coffee outing.

Had brunch here. The service was friendly and efficient. My coffee was good. But my chicken burger w a handful of chips at $30 plus 10% surcharge was overpriced and in my opinion, well average. The bun wasn't toasted, and I couldn't eat half of it. Just around the corner on Brunswick St is THE best chicken burger... and so much cheaper!! At least $10 cheaper w chips. Cashless, no receipt. We can email a receipt to you, haha. For my partner and I it was 2 mains and 2 coffees $73.00. Wow!

I know this place well from Sydney, but this store is much bigger and spacious - bright white aesthetic, friendly service and great coffee. Food menu looks interesting too but I’d already eaten. Next time. They also have beans and other coffee gear for sale

Beautiful bright space, amazing coffee and a great selection of both classic and elevated breakfast and lunch items. Today we both opted for the fig and goats cheese omelette which was lovely, served with soft sourdough and butter. We also found the service today to be very slow, as we were waiting for a couple to join us it seemed that no one wanted to offer coffee while we waited even after attending to catch the waiters attention. One of our group also did not get the tea he ordered and we had leave the table to and enquire as the table side service was so slow.

Lovely bright space with friendly staff and a fantastically creative menu which unfortunately didn’t deliver. The bubble waffle was hard and chewy as opposed to being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The poached eggs were cooked all the way through. The sweetcorn fritters were burnt. Both savoury dishes were way too salty and oily without any nuanced flavours. Coffee was decent but not out of the world. This cafe had so much potential to be something special, but missed the mark today.

Just recently arrived in Melbourne and found this in a guide book. Lovely staff, open bright main area, delicious coffee! Everyone was very attentive. We had two skinny lattes and shared a croissant. The fig and raspberry jam was delicious! Expensive but worth it. Would definitely come back!

Industry Beans Cafe in Fitzroy is a true gem! The atmosphere is vibrant, yet cozy and inviting. The staff are friendly, attentive, and passionate about their craft. The coffee is exceptional, with a wide variety of blends and brewing methods to choose from. The food is fresh, inventive, and delicious. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this cafe. I highly recommend Industry Beans to anyone looking for a top-notch cafe experience in Melbourne!

One of the best Coffee roasters in Melbourne probably Australia too. A new origin and flavour to try every month with their Single Origin or their own blend from best coffee regions of the world. They specially pay attention to organic and sustainably grown coffee supporting the local growers. The brunch menu is simply superb, modern meets your regular Aussie breakky. A must try.

What makes the Melbourne specialty coffee scene so special? Is it the specialty coffee, or is it the delicious food? It could also be the stylish presentation of the food and beverage offer as well as the hyper sleek architecture and interior design of the specialty coffee shops. Today I had the pleasure to explore Industry Beans at their COFFEE ROASTERY & CAFE in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I received a very warm welcome from their staff: “WELCOME to INDUSTRY BEANS!” They had two espresso house blends and one single origin espresso. I decided to go for the SUMMER espresso blend as a flat white. Guess why? This blend consisted of a natural Kenya (Endebes: SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11) and a natural Brazil (Nascer Do Sol: Catuai and Bourbon). The barista textured the milk well. There was a great harmony between the coffee and the milk. The mouthfeel was very smooth and creamy, and I liked the sweetness. But wait for the food! I asked the friendly barista to suggest me her favorite breakfast dish. She recommended me the “PORCINI NEST”, a porcini dusted egg, potatoe nest, wild mushroom duxelles, kale, pickled mushrooms, and truffle oil. Sounds delicious? It was delicious, and the food presentation was stunning. As a coffee lover, I went for a filter coffee as a desert, a yellow honey processed coffee from Colombia (Wilder Lazo: Pink Bourbon, 1,600 to 1,800 m). It came with beautiful notes of lychee, manuka honey, and papaya. I especially liked the high sweetness, and the cleanliness of this coffee. Coffee connects people: it was a very romantic experience because I was surrounded by two love couples. It was cute to her both asking similar questions: “Do you have brothers or sisters?” I enjoyed my visit. I loved the architecture and interior design. The coffee menu was large, and my order tasted great. There would have been even a decaf coffee from Mexico (Bourbon, Caturra, and Typica: 900 to 1,100m, Swiss Water processed). The brunch looked and tasted fantastic, and both the staff and the guests were very nice, kind, and entertaining.

Lovely, bright ambience and great coffee (delicious beans and oat milk done perfectly). Let down was the food - while beautifully presented, the two breakfast dishes I ordered (omelette and porcini mushroom dish) were a both dry and underwhelming in taste.

Airy and modern coffee roasters that serves great coffee. The ambience of the place has evolved over time, it's clean design let's in lots of natural light. Tried the porcini nest which was a unique and tasty basket of fried shredded potatoes, compared to the typical cafe smashed avo toast. The dish had a beautiful crunchy texture, filled with umami mushroom pate and fried mushrooms. Definitely a place to check out in the Fitzroy area. Staff were friendly and attentive

This place seemed like a warehouse turned into a cafe/workshop space. It has a separate takeaway area next to the entrance and the ambience is very bright and clean. The food was good and the coffee was too. The service was slow and it took us a while to order but once we were served it was friendly and the wait for good wasn't long. It's a good meet up space with friends if you want somewhere close to the city however I wouldn't consider this place a regular venture. #goodcoffee

Really enjoyed the food here when I went back in November last year. I remember it being super busy but we were lucky and managed to get in within 5 minutes. Enjoyed the sausage muffin, the coffee, and also the brownie that they had at the time.

The place looks very clean, almost clinical. I prefer an atmosphere with a bit more charm to it. It feels like a franchise. But to each their own. The person giving me a seat was very friendly. The coffee was alright. The bean was not subtle and not special enough to really convince me. The latte art was on point though. Overall an OK experience!

Visiting Melbourne and wanted to try the Fitzroy Street site for industry beans, the place is absolutely massive, plenty of seating and nice and clean for how busy it was. I ordered a burger and a coffee, both of which were superb. However there must have been some issue with the burger as it initially did not arrive. But the staff here were quick to rectify the issue and offered extra coffees as compensation. I was thrilled with the service I received here as they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything here. If your in Melbourne come and visit!

I like the vibe around the store and also the design inside. The food and coffee were also good. My friend ordered porcini nest it was so yum and I ordered the chicken burger I like it ♡

Love the aesthetics, and was really pleased with the service and attention to details with coffee blends/flavors. BUT for the steep prices the food leaves quite a bit to be desired. The omelette was barely warm and the nest (although cute) was kinda disappointing…..was created to be pretty but not delicious. One highlight, apart from the coffee, was the overnight oats.

Great customer service and welcoming atmosphere! We enjoyed the cold brew coffee and their signature peanut butter brownie. I wish I visited the cafe earlier in the morning to give it more of attentive time span. I would definetely come back next time for my morning coffee!

Great place for breakfast. It gets packed on the weekend, but we were pleased to be greeted by a friendly staff who got us a table. We ordered the Avocado Smash ($24) and their signature dish Chilli Barramundi Folded Eggs ($29). Both were tasty and the right portion. Excellent coffee.

Coffees are amazing and must try the egg nest as it is full of flavours. Love the idea of see through glass that separates coffee beans processing facility and the dining area as it brings a bit of drama. Will definitely visit again.

A great place to stop by if you are visiting Fitzroy Market. Good ambiance with nice service. This place gives a fantastic coffee vibe to coffee lovers. Food is ok and is Halal friendly.

The review is based on coffee. Had the latte and find that the coffee is weak and I don't get much of the coffee taste but interestingly I have a friend that says their black coffee is really good. Only wishes it has more characteristic of the coffee would be amazing. The flavour is self preference, do try it!

Flat white was really great! I tried signature bean and also seasonal summer bean. Both of were great with nice fragrance and special note! I liked the food as well especially over night oak!

Came in for a work breakfast and the new space is gorgeous. I ordered the porcini nest which was beautifully plated and tasted just as good as it looked — the flavours and textures were incredible. The real standout though was the service. Luae, our server, was attentive, warm and welcoming — the hospitality was truly outstanding. I’ll certainly be back and will recommend you to anyone who asks. Thanks team!

My partner and I went there for brunch and coffee and it was our first time visiting! We were very pleased with the services and Amy was a pleasure to talk to. She took initiative to check in on us while we were browsing for coffee beans and she shared her expertises and experiences with us when it comes to coffee bean selections. Amy also let us taste different espressos and it helped with my purchase a lot! Kudos to Amy and her friendly attitude!! Would definitely visit this place again! :)

Great spot. This place is pretty serious about their coffee, and it shows. Good coffee, paired with tasty food in nice setting. The cafe looks into the coffee roasters out the back. The avocado smash was delicious. Worth checking out.

Lovely atmosphere! Perfect coffee, there’s nothing more I can ask for! Tried their sparking coffee and it’s quite a creative idea. Staff so friendly, service is fast, almond croissant — I can never have enough of them.

Delicious brunch, really creative menu while still having the classics. Wide selection of coffee drinks, I’d like to go back and try them all at some point. They even had bubble tea (coffee) and sparkling cold brew coffee. Barra omelette with sourdough was delicious as was the bacon breakfast roll (great value) and filled with lots of flavor. I don’t think you could order wrong here. Great vibes, nice and bright space, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done.
