My friends and I came down from Sydney as we had heard great things about the event on Sunday being Caramel Sundays only to be met with a racially charged negative experience. After our bags were searched and cleared my light skin friend who did not have physical ID was let through and then when my brown friend tried to go in the security guard said he did not comfortable letting her in, before even looking at her ID and then called the manger who searched through her phone only to say he doesn’t believe she’s the person on her license- mind you she has a full license and is the oldest out of all of us. It’s clear he has a problem with the colour of her skin and was looking for any reason not to let her in.

My best friend was assaulted by a security guard on his 21st birthday for no reason. He was left with scratches on his face and a bruised eye. Would not recommend this club to anyone I know and I hope if anyone is deciding on going here, really question themselves and look elsewhere. They go by the name “P1 Saturdays” do not go here, horrible security guard management, filled with power abusing security guards that have left damaging facial injuries on my best friends face over a dispute that my friend did not cause, he didn’t act or behaviour in a way that warranted physical violence. Please do not attend this club as these injuries and incidents can lead to life altering or threatening conditions and death.

The people who run this event are rude and discriminatory. At Caramel Sundays, the owner of the event would not let my two friends (3 girls including me) in for no reason other than that he was “uncomfortable” with us being at the venue and told us to leave immediately. We were all happy to show our ID, cooperated with bag searches and we were happy to pay the $30 entry fee. The security guard checking ID called the event owner to double check my friend’s ID (who is 24) and made us wait in the cold on the street while the manager took his time to get to the front of the club (after we politely asked to wait in a corner sheltered from the wind). Once the manager arrived he refused us entry at first glance without properly looking at her ID. He went through her phone and checked her Apple ID - which is set to her mothers account hence the different names between Drivers License and Apple ID. We asked why and his explanation was that her Apple ID did not match her ID name. This owner very clearly had something against us and would go to any lengths to find any reason whatsoever to refuse us entry. This was extremely disappointing as we are from Sydney and came to Melbourne for the weekend specifically to experience the nightlife and meet new people. My friend had her valid licence ready with her date of birth and photo and did nothing but cooperate. Would not recommend going to this club.

We were waiting for two hours but not been let in . This club discriminate people and guards looking for excuses to not let you get in If they don’t like you or your appearance.

Nice club on caramel Sunday. Read the reviews. No problem with security and we are American people of color. Music was good. Started off in a small space and as the night went on and the clientele grew, more spaces opened up. Was a good time.

You should get rid of Adam the (guard) If you want to have a successful business and going because his so rude and he’s threatened me and my friend that he was going to hit us If we don’t walk off the reason for that is because I had long hair All I was asking is, why aren’t you letting me in and he gave me attitude and told me to walk off now and was yelling in my face never for this place as long as Adam and his guards are there. Zero star rating for it Also, I’m not the first one was complaining about those guards specially Adam, there’s a lot of people that are writing reviews on it, so I suggests someone needs to have a look at this and deal with it. No good guards and no good hospitality

$30 entry fee. Place looks cool inside. DJ is not it though, dude kept sing-talking over the music and sounded like the announcers at Melbourne Show LMAO

Bad remixes of bad songs, service is terrible, pretty much would never get served until my girlfriend came up and on top of all that the dance floor is ridiculously small. Oh and the google times are incorrect almost everytime, this time when I arrived they said they opened at 10 and not 9 like displayed on their Google page, and last time I went they didn’t open till 9:30 despite displaying 9 and closed at 1 instead of 3 as displayed

Use to come here back in the day, Saturdays is a weekly event and you have to keep an eye out for once off bookings on any other nights. Staff are helpful and friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. Recent cocktail editions are delicious.

Not recommended. 30 AUD entry fee. Cash only accepted. The mini ATM charges 3.50 withdrawal fee and you can only withdraw 50 or 100. Quite rude guards. Very biased atmosphere. Physical appearance of the club and dance floor was nice as its a tunnel. DJ also isn't that great. Kept talking over the music. 5 min walk from flinders station; that's the only benefit. Don't go here, specially not for a milestone event. My 33.50 bucks down the drain. Best advice is if you want a good time; get one of those LED neons from kmart and get some slabs from your local bottle shop and party in you own house or backyard with your own crowd. That's an amazing feeling no club in the world will ever get you. No point wasting your money on logistics. Ain't nobody winning.

Was fun until my friend was physically assaulted by a vertically challenged security guard, unjust and complete abuse of power. Consider his position.

Security guard with beard treated my female friends and I terribly on multiple occasions. Completely unprovoked and for no reason whatsoever. Man must be going through some stuff at home but that doesn't excuse his blatant disrespect for patrons. Manners cost nothing.

30th October - Sunday. Waited almost an hour in the q to get into the club. When It reached my turn, they asked me to empty my pocket. I took my DL and other things out from my pocket and showed to them. One of the security guard then asked me to move aside in the q and didn’t allow me to go inside? I asked him the reason multiple times but his behaviour was very rude and told me to get off from his face. The security guards in this club are really rude and racial. Never visit this place

Worst worst worst club ever. First of all the security there is shocking they are extremely rude. The club itself is extremely small. Me and a friend walked in paid and checked out the club. It was very very quite so me and friend thought of coming back a little later when more people come in. We were told if we get stamped we could come back and not have to pay entry again. We came back and security told us we weren’t allowed back in. What is the point of getting stamped or having the stamps if ur not going to let people back in. Never coming back here again!

Worst worst worst security guards ever i met in my life. Both of the guards were so rude and racist towards us. Their job is to protect and safe but their behaviour was so bad with us can’t explain. One of them was being so racial wasn’t even listening what we were saying just passing bad comments and giving bad looks after see us. Never gonna recommend!!

You need to turn your music down! People across the road sleeping in the hotel can hear everything!!! How the hell can a person hear music that's inside a night club? Where is your sound proofing of your building?!

Everyone posting in the reviews is a coward. This place is amazing for a techno night. If you see a decent lineup here then 100% go. Great space and incredible sound system (very clean and well balanced).

Worst drinks in Melbourne. Wine like vinegar and socks. Overpriced and sloppy. Dingy venue with a low ceiling and inadequate ventilation. Fog so thick you can't see. Either freezing or like a sauna, with nothing in between, sometimes on the same night.

Awesome staff. Lots of water. Plenty of toilets. Came here to see Jauz and Mija and had a wonderful experience. Do recommend

Went here with some work colleagues, security and staff were unfriendly before we even made it through the door. I put my jacket on a chair near my group whilst I used the bathroom, came back and it had disappeared. None of the staff were at all helpful, saying they had not found anything and that I would receive no help that night, I'd need to email them. I emailed the next day and never received a reply, tried calling multiple times but nobody ever answered. So either they kept/binned my jacket, or it was stolen there, either way it adds up to an unpleasant place to visit.

Messaged since December. They say willing to help. No response or reply. My birthday was to be booked but I can't with these guys. Also emailed and calling them- again no-one there to help or do bookings. It's scam and false advertising! Don't bother guys. Not worth trying harder than I did. You get nothing from them!

Lacked cleanliness

Got there 10pm and paid $30. They refused to open the dancefloor because there 'weren't enough people'. Left 1.5 hrs later. They ended up closing at like 1pm that night. Ridiculous price for no service, you won't see me there again.

Great atmosphere. Good for a few after work beers - then a short crawl to the train station.

Bartenders were amazing, it was so nice and welcoming even tho they were crazy busy Tanaz was super helpful when I asked to book a table for my birthday. Overall such a nice place to experience different music and definitely good service which lacks in so many venues these days You made our night (bartenders and security) and we thank you dearly

Worst bouncers ever. Racist, impertinent, rude. No needs to act like that if people are just arrived and waiting patiently to get in the disco. No good atmosphere inside nor outside.

Worst security guard ever! Rude, racist! Google advertises the place closes at 6am, we get there at 3:30am asking to get in, the security laughed at us saying no. I thought he was joking, and they tried to ask again. He had the same reaction and tell us if we want to get in next time, it was going to be $40per person and kept laughing about us with other security guards. 1. Why would you advertise closing at 6am if people can’t get in 2,5h before closing time? 2. If you want to make this place successful starting by changing this security company, because they are the worse I’ve ever seen working, and based on previous reviews I’m probably not the only one. Shame!!!

The management refused drinks after 4 crononas. Just a word of advice for fellow other reviewers to these bars. Some of the bar managers from other bars will read this and if your name is on the review, they will ban you also (they normally have bad reviews too). At least it sorts the good ones out from the bad ones. Plenty of bars to Patron at in melbourne. The reason we know this is one of the staff that knew me at platform one said when I went to the other bar, hey you were that guy at platform one. I left the other bar in peace. Next time, bam, was blacklisted. Good, this blacklisting tells us it's getting to them. Reverse phycology. Just be careful, there is a network.

The security here is really nice had a good conversation with one and they let us know what theme was on tonight! Drink prices are eh but that’s with most places. I’m so coming back.

Was an awesome afterparty after hardmission, great vibes and great atmosphere. Those neons hit hard and the staff were super friendly. Floor was upkept so well I had a good stomp when technoboy and tuneboy played 💯💯
