If i was to define this venue in one word it would be "nostalgic". One of the best hidden spots in Melbourne. My friends and I have been going there for close to 3 years. The music is lovely. The staff are lovely. Most trustworthy place as well. There's a public spot where you can drop your bags. I've never had anything stolen. I've lost jumpers and jackets from other clubs after quickly putting them on the floor for 5 minutes. From 11am-close the place is always packed. Unfortunately the don't open until 5am, the only negative thing hahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Perfect destination for a chill, Saturday drink over happy hour. Décor is shicke and illuminated to the right amount, bright with colour. With enough comfortable seating you can have a lounge experience too. There is a cute ping pong ball lucky shot minigame that can be played up the front for a shot and it was uplifting to see a group of pub crawlers succeed. Give this bar a whirl, you will not regret it.

Went here last night and not only the bouncer was racist, also started cussing me and friends out. Was told that those who hold an Australian passport only could enter. Disappointing.

Went to this club on a Friday night. It was nicely packed, drink service was a few minutes wait if not instant. I can not say enough good things about the DJ's. They rotated through the night and I found myself enjoying being there so much I stayed from 10pm till 3am (closing time). The music there was just fantastic. I mean bare in mind we all have different taste in music but I loved it.

We went we grabbed beers, one of their infamous espresso martinis a fresh juice cocktail and hit the floor good times and vibes DJ spins decent wax good vibes

We had an amazing night here! One of your bartenders, I think her name was Clara, took such good care of us! She was so friendly and customer service was amazing! So pass on our compliments to Clara, you were wonderful! We were visiting from Sydney and will definitely recommend to people we know visiting Melbourne!

My go-to bar (with a dance floor)!! At free entry, their music consists of bangers only, DJs are super cool and take requests when they can, the staff are lovely and always providing great service. Did I mention it’s completely FREE? They also have a second room upstairs to suit your music taste. Always a good time at Pulp !!

My friends and I had a great time tonight. Thank you for the friendly security guard that was handing out free shot cards, to the friendly bartenders and the great DJs. The vibe was absolutely on point.

Great place to go with a friendly vibe! Early night it’s rather cute with some fairy lighting and plenty of seating and as the night goes on the area transforms to be a great place to dance and drink the night away! The drink specials are always great too! Staff are so nice ☺️☺️ Definitely recommend to go

Great place for throwback tunes, a boogie and cheap drinks

Was great before covid and our go to spot but has gone down hill since. Drinks are now more expensive, swing has gone from outside and even the whole atmosphere has decreased.

I went there with my mates last weekend. The staff were nice, accomodating and they even gave us a bottle of sparkly! We had the best night. Staff looked after us making sure we have plenty of glasses and mixers. See you soon again xxx

The security in this place needs to be sacked! They beat up my friend around the corner and left him in hospital. This club has a number of reports against them for violence. They won't last another year with their track record!

Filthy place with terrible staff. Be very careful of the doormen in this place! They are all bikie affiliated and extremely dangerous! I would highly suggest you avoid this place at all costs

I really enjoy coming to Pulp. I usually start my night up stairs in either Berlin Bar or Maximon and work my way down. Always a great way to end a night with my friends. Highly recommend

One of the worst clubs I have ever been to! The "Dj" giving my partner the fingers for asking for a song to be played! He's lucky he's behind that wire fence ro protect him or else! I don't know ow who runs this club but they seriously need to hire new door men and get rid of that DJ! I have never experienced such a dump in all my life. I honestly don't no how this place even exists! Hiring 50 year old door men who couldn't break up a children's birthday party and they look like they should be in a rocking chair in a nursing home. Returning to Melbourne, visited the place around the start of 2017 for the first time. Communication via inbox was excellent and so was the service at the bar. They unfortunately closed early due to an incident on Bourke street but they were still accommodating. Tunes were amazing and were a flash back for someone like me that's 24yrs old. My other 7 guy mates also loved it. Didnt realise there was a smoking area out back until we left, but definately will be coming back!!

Eight of us came to Pulp on a Saturday night to dance. It was really fun and I loved the songs and the overall vibe. They had quick transitions so you could never really get bored of the music because it kept changing. The songs were all well-known and popular, so everyone could sing along to them. Thanks Pulp, I will definitely be back!

Great place to drink and dance. Be wary of broken glass on the floor from spilt drinks - though this can be common across many bars in Melbourne.

This is a hidden gem. I'll definitely be back to absolutely TEAR up the dance floor. The Dj Was fantastic, weaving and mashing up tracks, lots of blasts from the past and new stuff too! Would recommend. Also hit up the Latin club next door while you are at it!

A little hidden in an ally but once you find it, it will become your goto place.

Nice little venue, friendly bouncers and bar staff, cool tunes, However $24 for a Pot of pilsner and a can of cider, I Must be getting old..

Went on a Friday night and had the best time with friends. We went upstairs to the late-night latin and had a blast. People were really friendly and drinks served within a couple minutes if not instantly. Had a great vibe, will definitely be going again!!

I went with my friend and we had an absolute blast we kept coming back. Our bartender Chris was so helpful and happy to have a chat. Great service from Chris will definitely be back!

Super good place. Sadly they only seem to play RnB now, and no longer bounce or house music, but the place is still cosy and great to meet new people. Big backyard smoking area is a pleasant bonus too, so you don't have to go outside like a pleb to puff. They also take your drink preferences into account, e.g. if you want slice of lemon with your drink but no ice, they'll do exactly as you ask. Really good place overall, service and atmosphere. Haven't tried food yet, i think it must be great as well.
