Absolutely disgraceful customer service. We arrived at 515pm today with two kids, one in a pram. Our little boy walked past and was excited to try it out. More than half of the restaurant was empty. An unfriendly staff named Erwin came to us, no greeting, speaking with unpleasantness, first words out of his mouth were we've overstepped into the exit lane, when we were the only ones standing at the entrance. Then he said since we have no bookings we can only sit on the high chairs, when he clearly noticed our difficulty with the kids. We asked if he can switch one of the bookings to the high chair, his response was the bookings "typically" would want normal seating - clearly the bookings didn't specifically ask for the normal seating. We then asked if we can have one of the empty normal seats for 1 hour as we are typically a quick diner. He looked at the screen for 1 second and said all bookings arriving at 6pm. Shocking attitude and clearly didn't want us to be there! Our boy left with disappointment and felt intimidated by the unwelcoming gesture. Needless to say we walked past later and the restaurant is still empty!!!

Updated 10/23: visited TGI now that it is well established in the upstairs Doncaster Dining area. Food quality has improved from last time, however we didn't find it was good value ($19.90 for 4 potato skins, wings about $2 per piece). The weekday specials seem to be a good deal though. Service is still a sore point as staff were very disinterested and dropped plates/food on our table without acknowledging us at all! Disappointing. Past 2021 review: Food was just average for the price and poor service really impacted the experience. We ordered the nachos, half rack pork ribs and 12 wings (buffalo and chipotle honey). Wings and ribs are good but I wouldn't order the nachos again (overpriced, sloppily assembled). The famous chips were very soggy and slaw was bland. Our food arrived lukewarm because it was sitting under the lamps (right next to our table) for a while. Had the same problem later when I ordered takeaway and it sat on the bench for 10 minutes before I walked over and asked if it was mine. The waitstaff were quite disinterested and won't help tables not in their section. We were told to order on the app which isn't possible with the voucher we had, so it took half an hour to order. We flagged down a waitress waiting at the lamps (no food ready) and she started taking our drinks order but wouldn't take our food order... She then rudely told the manager "go get [our waitress] and tell her to do her job". I hope that TGI will change this policy to ensure that the waiters support each other to ensure customers get a good experience.

Bad, really really bad.. canteen quality food. Don’t waste your money. Ordered medium steak.. came out well done.. ordered salmon with the salad bowl, which didn’t come.. salad bowl looked like hospital grade food.. 40 minutes wait for this quality of food.. ridiculous. Service staff was nice though. Just don’t go for the food.

Food was absolutely atrocious for the insane price. Look at what they call "Spiraled golden fried potatoes". It's a scam, a packet of stale chips with a handful of microwaved Mac n cheese pooed out on top. Chicken Wings gave us food poisoning, I have already contacted support for an immediate refund. Never going to a TGI fridays ever again.

Hi guys, sorry but I had to change my review tonight, you are normally my go to place for ribs but tonight they were awful. Have you eaten your product recently? I have never had chewy ribs before. I bought some frozen ribs from Aldi and Woolworths recently and they were better than what we received from you tonight. Some food for thought.

Terrible. Went after watching Top Gun. Poor staff with lack of any guidance from a manager were running around like chooks with their heads cut off. Drinks took 30 minutes even after asking three or four times. My friend and I ordered Sirloin steak and I actually spat it out, yes it was that bad. Basically paid $38 for chips, which were cold. Staff members did not seem to care, offered me some fries to say sorry. I would have paid less but you are forced to pay up front. I asked two different staff members four times each for tomato sauce and they finally brought it out after we had finished. Staff asked if we wanted to have. Considering our poor experience I requested that he check if could get free desert, he went off to ask and never came back, so we left.

By far one of the worst experiences. Standing at the front for about 5 minutes with no one else waiting in line and multiple staff walking right past us. Sitting down to order we ordered and the food was atrocious. The mac and cheese loaded potato twisters sound like curly fries with mac and cheese right? WRONG! It is red rock deli chips with a handfull of cold mac and cheese. The burger was dry and heavy. The wings were vinegary and the garlic bread was cold! Honestly i felt quite sick after eating just a little bit of the food. I have contacted their email asking for a refund! I cannot with good conscience recommend this place at all.

Literally the worst dining experience I've had in Australia. It's the first time I'm giving a restaurant in Australia a review other than 5-star. Although there were many free tables at the restaurant, we stayed in the queue for 15 minutes. The service was terrible. The staff were very young and there was noone to manage them. The table was dirty when we arrived and they didn't clean it. They forgot to bring us forks and we had to ask them for fork. The food ingredients weren't fresh, and the food smelled like overused oil. I understand that currently in Australia there is staff shortage and it affected all buninesses, but we're eating out at least 4 times a week and we've never had such a bad dining experience in any restaurant before. I was actually very happy with TGIF in Dubai, but in Melbourbe, only a one star.

I could not rate this place lower. Staff were completely inattentive. Politely asked for water several times which was ignored before w finally going up to the bar and waiting for some service. Food was terrible quality especially considering the price. Most of the meals came cold and tasted bland. The feta bruschetta was laughable when it came to the table. I would not recommend this place at all. Definitely not like the TGIFs I used to remember and love.

The experience of dining at TGI Fridays is inconsistent . Sometimes we receive a very good service and good food. Some other times the experience is not that good. I can tell because we are regulars and every time we experience something different. In general, I like the staff very well. They are dedicated and kind. But some times they deliver orders wrong and we usually we have wait a while to get served. Definitely some room for improvement.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch there. The dishes took a little while to be served and the service could be improved with more attentive waiters. Not too bad an experience overall.

My Kids like this Place. I preferred it in the Old Location. Like that you DON'T have to Order via App and get stuck with Hidden FEES for Paying by Credit Cards. You can Pay by EFTPOS and still Claim your Membership Rewards. DON'T like the fact they Charge you $2 for Substituting Thick Chips from Shoestring Fries. They are BOTH Potatoes. Like you can get the Rest of your Meal Takeaway too. Also they have a Good Kids Menu too.

Absolutely enjoyed our meal at TGI Fridays Westfield Doncaster. Wonderful service by all staff on at 3:00pm Saturday 27 August 2022. Very friendly and welcoming attitudes all throughout service. Damn, that Beef rib was the best ever. The chicken wings are so small but with real american Buffalo/ Nashville taste. The triple berry smoothie was great, but the mango smoothie was a bit too sugary. Drinks and food were so quick to come out and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great dining experience TGI Fridays doncaster,, we will be back again soon.

Decent menu... Good American Diner Vibes. Friendly Staff, punchy flavour and nice open seating. Chicki wings....Nashville and buffalo....soo good.👍 The burger 🍔 were such a classic. Drinks can be a hit and miss. Gotta try the rest of the menu.

This place deserves two stars because at least they nailed the sweet potato fries. The fries with the calamari were cold and limp which was disappointing. I agree with most reviews regarding the poor customer service. It is appalling. Staff were aloof towards patrons needs and on top of that they were rude and dismissing. Water jug would never be filled. Napkins were not given to all customers. Table of 3— only got 2. When calling for a staff they wouldn’t even look your way or be attentive. One replied curtly “One second” but she never came back to us 😂 It’s all small things but they add up and should have have happened. Customer service serves as the face of the company and poor customer service generates poor brand perception which leads to losing customers (current/future) and in-evidently loss of profits. You get my drift. The importance of customer service should never be under-looked and I highly suggest TGI Fridays Doncaster to raise the bar to meet this basic requirement.

My wife and I decided to give TGIF a go for lunch today. Arriving at 12:45pm we figured that the lunch rush would me mostly over, and indeed, most of the tables were available. It still took over 5 minutes for us to be seated by an aloof front-of-house person (name escapes me) that didn't seem to have a clear idea of which tables were ready for service. The wait staff was courteous and nice. We were seated and cutlery etc was provided. I got a dirty knife, which was replaced, but still... We placed our order using the app. My wife's meal arrived in a timely fashion, but mine lagged another 10 minutes. I would expect that when you're two people at a table ordering food at the same time that the food is served at the same time. My wife had some Signature Whiskey Glaze Chicken Strips. They looked as delicious as they tasted, however they came out lukewarm. My dish, the Pulled Beef Burrito, was served lukewarm with beef chunks (see photos) and dull, but warm, chips. The guacamole that I ordered extra was oxidised and very oily and it didn't look there there was anything but avocado and oil in it. A letdown for sure and we won't be back

Looking for a good classic American hearty meal then you need to visit TGIFridays. The interior is really nice with neon lights and comfy booths. They have a bar located right in the middle of the restaurant. There is heaps of drinks to pick from including cocktails. I had their new margaritas which are $12 for non-members and $5 for members which is a great deal as you save $7 on each drink. I had the sunset and strawberry and coconut margarita that were so delicious and they had either salt or coconut rims. They have a big menu with so much to choose from starters to mains, as well as desserts. We ordered the Mac and cheese bites, mozzarella sticks and pork belly sliders. The mozzarella sticks are my favourite and a must order, so cheesy. The Mac and cheese bites are very indulgent. The pork sliders were nice however they were at room temperature so would’ve liked them warmer. As mains we had the full rack of pork ribs were with thick heaps and coleslaw and the classic beef burger with thin fries. The ribs are very tender and can be shared but my brother had it on his own! I had the burger which was juicy and tasty. I added the glaze sauce on the side to the burger for extra flavour. Also both chips were very tasty and loved dipping them into the glaze. If I wasn’t so full I would’ve loved to have ordered dessert which I’ll have to do next time! Definitely keen to revisit and try more menu dishes.

Had the triple meat burger—succulent, juicy, and delicious. Unfortunately, the fries on the side were dry and disappointing. The service, likely affected by the closing time, was unfriendly. This overall experience leaves me hesitant to return.

Ordered spicy cajun burger, signature tgif bacon cheeseburger, salt and pepper calamari meal - food was ok except for the overcooked bacons on the burgers. Have to book if you’re eating on a weekend as it’s very busy. We have to line up and wait last friday night. Will come back for the ribs and have more drinks next time…AND more of their amazing calamari

Unfortunately my review is similar to my last review of Eastlands store last month. I went in last night with a couple friends. I ordered nachos here on my first visit months ago as I'd had a good dish at eastland and fell in love, it was great, square rounded amazing tortilla chips (best I've ever had) with salsa, sour cream, avo and pulled beef which Doncaster put way more beef than Eastland so it was a good proper meal I was excited to order again here. Like my last visit to Eastland, noticed a big difference in the dish, all piled in one heap the tortilla chips were different, thick and not great, the toppings were prepared much chunkier, Eastland had a bunch of long big slices of capsicum and onion all over it making it difficult to dip and eat with the chips so at Doncaster last night I opted to not have onion or capsicum unticking the box. I ended up receiving a dish with no sauce and the amount of beef I got was deplorable, about 3 big chunks plus a chunk of fat, it wasn't all nicely pulled shredded like previous times, I had to get a knife and fork to cut up the meat so I could eat it with the chips as the big pieces made the dish difficult to consume. There was also this thick cheese sauce that seemed like it came out of a bottle. Was pretty sad , I thought it was just Eastlands store but seems like TGI Friday's has completely changed this dish and absolutely ruined it across the franchise, I won't be ordering this again. As suggested to Eastland maybe the tgi team can re assess the way this nacho dish eats because it used to be amazing and now it's just rubbish.

Are you for real?? The poorest service ever. Could NOT keep the birthday cake in cool room or a fridge, you have to ask two times for cutlery explaining you need plates to have the Birthday cake. If you are coming here, don’t come for your Birthday at least ;)

A group of us came to tgif for our friend’s birthday and we had the absolute best time. Aileen helped us through the night and made my friend’s birthday so special. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone else who helped was also so lovely. She exceeded all our expectations she deserves a raise.

Great American atmosphere and style Restaurant located in Doncaster. Very handy for Westfield shopper, easy park, and easy access. Ordered Fridays signage platter which is having a bit everything, portershouse and half-rack pork ribs are so delicious. Scott Fillet steak in medium, been cooked perfectly and served timely. Customer service is top notch, waiters were always walking pass to ask “how is the food”, and very attentive. Highly recommend this place for meat lover.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at TGI Doncaster restaurant! The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor – truly a culinary delight! But what made the experience even more enjoyable was the exceptional service provided by HARUNA, who was an outstanding staff member. Their attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I highly recommend TGI Doncaster for their delicious food and fantastic staff. A five-star experience all around!

TGI Friday in Westfield Doncaster left much to be desired. Upon arrival, the waiter at the front door seemed unwelcoming when we found out free kids meal is not available today. The background music was so loud. The disappointment continued with the food – the chicken wings were dry, and the signature sauce was overpoweringly sweet. The mac n cheese was a letdown too, with soft pasta and an unpleasant-tasting cheese. The dishes served were not garnished. To add on, our table was not clean. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, we do not foresee revisiting again.

Previously tried the mixed plate of ribs - beef, pork, and chicken. The beef ribs were a bit dry and chewy; the pork ribs were tasty and tender; the chicken was just nothing special. On a subsequent visit, a full rack of pork was much more satisfying. If you appreciate a more balanced meal, then you will need a serving of salad, even if it is one serve to share between two. The coleslaw that comes with the main is tiny at best.

Disappointing experience at TGI Fridays Doncaster. My friend with three kids ordered a salad and the three kids burger meals. Only one burger and salad arrived. I arrived and ordered another kids burger and fajitas which arrived but still two kids burgers were missing. I asked one wait staff who went to check where it was but never returned. Waited longer. By this time 4 out of 6 of us had eaten. The restaurant was nearly empty. We asked the waiter we originally ordered with where they were. She checked and said we only ordered one kids meal. With three kids there you might think they would check or repeat the order. My friend had been hurried along when she ordered as it was an hour until closing. Finally they followed up. We can get the burgers but no chips, only mashed potato. By this stage we were glad to get anything. When we left there was no apology or form of compensation. Will not dine here again. Customer service is appalling.

I came here for lunch today as of writing this, and I ordered a Scotch Filet Steak and changed the Chips to Sweet Potato Chips and also ordered some sparkling water. I specifically asked for Medium Rare and instead got well done after eating into it. The table service person that served me, I left some remarks about it. Upon paying the bill, there were patrons in front of me arguing about the price discrepancy based on the meal they had ordered versus the menu price. When it came to me paying, a different restaurant service attendant, did not ask me anything about my meal. I paid $55.80. Initially, I was going to give one star for this review, but the sweet potato fries were tasty. I am not going to come back to this specific TGI Friday's location in future. Whomever the person was who cooked this expensive steak, needs to be trained in reading customer orders better and damn well cook to the required expectation as ordered instead of being rubbery and hard! Plain and simple, it cannot be this hard to follow! To make the situation worse, there was a patron next to me situated on small round tables with high chairs... was in fact coughing and who knows with bloody COVID these days, this person should not have been allowed to come into the venue and should have been ejected. Leaving me annoyed with the steak, trying to eat it as quickly as possible so that I could leave quicker without being exposed to an inconsiderate idiot of a patron coughing intermittently without covering their damn mouth!

Ordered the sets of 2x pork ribs and chicken wings today for $89 Received and they are very raw. I have included the photos and you can see it is pink color Called the TGIF Doncaster number to mentioned about this and they said the store manager will give us a call in the next 15 minutes, unfortunately I have not received any called yet until now at 8:30 pm and they are closed already So you pay quite expensive to get a raw food, wanted to lodge complain but store manager don't really care about you either, it is very disappointing with the poorly cooked food and irresponsible store Please don't order unless you want to get food poisoning ..
