Interesting experience. Going upstairs is like being transported to Hong Kong. Tables, furniture and deco set out like old school HK cafes, even the windows are covered with landscape posters so it feels like you’re looking out onto the HK streets. Tried red bean pancake which was pretty good with flaky pastry and a sweet soup. Would go back just to feel like I’m traveling again! Very strict with the covid check in. Demanded to see our phones to make sure we had done it.

(Translated by Google) I ordered a piece of Bei Mushroom Chicken Rice. I got my hair and nails, but I didn’t give up. It was really disgusting and the sanitary conditions were poor. (Original) 点了份北菇滑鸡饭,吃出了头发和指甲,还不让退,真的很恶心,卫生条件很差劲

Nice place to chill out - food is a bit of a rip off though. We paid $1.50 for extra strawberries on our waffles and literally got 1 strawberry sliced up.

A little nice HK styled eating house that provides a variety of common HK food. The chicken baked rice is pretty decent as the meat is well prepared and tender. Rice is a little hard though. Afternoon tea time between 3-5pm provides good value with a free beverage with any main order. Service staff could be better as they may be temp staff. Overall this is a nice place for HK food.

Food level is very poor, the order is cold, tell the shop after only help me microwave heating, very dissatisfied! Desserts are not sweet and have very small components!

Very good variety of delicious desserts. Double boiled dessert soups French toast Fried milk Shaved ice Iced lemon tea Hong Kong milk tea The list goes on and on... Tastes legit 👌 Also tried the pork chop rice with borscht soup. Will pass on that next time; will only come back for desserts.

This place used to be alright in terms of food and service. Looks like they have a new management team now all the staff are replaced (my friend said none of them are from Hong Kong where they used to be). The food taste like frozen meal, tasteless. The service was a lot worse than the past where I saw a customer was given a wrong dish but they refused to replace it. It’s very said the new owner decides not to keep up with the good tradition they had. Everything now is just overpriced and unfortunate I will never come back again.

Average place to be for late night Oriental supper and sweet soup. A bit pricey, self service on common stuff otherwise still serve food to your table. Open till late.

It's been a while since I was here last. In fact, I can't even remember when the last time was but tonight, me and a group of friends decided to go for food/drink after an event and I have to say, the servers' rude, rough and "I hate my job" kind of attitude was very much felt and confirmed in the many previous reviews by other people that I've read about this place. I'd only ordered a drink as I wasn't hungry but my mate sitting next to me ordered instant noodles with spam and eggs which ridiculously costed him $10. My goodness, $10 for instant noodles with spam and eggs? The only cooking involved was with the eggs!! Wth?!?! Really?!?! Borderline robbing the customer. Then my other mate ordered a curry porkchop rice dish which costed $16 but for the portion size was absolutely not worth it. I think it's clear from my review that many improvements with the staffs' attitude in very BASIC customer service (eg. saying hi/welcome, smile and using the right words when dealing with customers), pricing of food and portion size needs to desperately improve before i consider coming back here again. Best to spend your money somewhere else.

Good place for dessert 🍰 but avoid this place on a hot day as they have terribly old air con and it's like a sauna in there.

  • 4/5 Justin G. 3 years ago on Google
Good if you're missing traditional dessert soups. Other items on the menu are mediocre but will do if you're craving it.

Food is not the reason to be here, buy yourself some packet noodles instead. Atmosphere and convenient open times make for a good hangout.

Food quality is not great, we didn’t enjoy eating our desserts... staff couldve been nicer about letting my friend use the toilet after bc she was busting and it was late 😤

This place serves traditional Hong Kong style fast food. The restaurant is quite spacious so it’s good for groups. Food and drinks are quite good value for money.

Desserts are not bad. It’s opened late and is just reliable in always being there. Aunty is very friendly. Atmosphere isn’t great but it’s box hill what do you expect.

The food being served was cold and oily, feedback to the staff but still get back the same cold food even though it is not busy in the store. Bad experience. Won't come back again.

Service was good considering it's a fast food place. Very noisy atmosphere (expected). Had the mixed grill. Absolutely rubbish. The steak was tough. Dessert was watery. The soup was thick almost like a milkshake. If you go there I definitely wouldn't recommend the mixed grill selection. Chips were burnt.
