I have been in Melbourne for more than 3 years and this is the first time I felt racism in this country. No matter what the club may be for someone but for the people who doesn't have a white skin... I assure you guys that security will let you know that you guys are not welcome in the club.

If the floor fulls up take it up a level 3 bars to order drinks from No point trying to pick up all the girls say they have boyfriends. Then take your drink

The "FREE BIRTHDAY PACK" from here is a scam because the guards won't let you in without any reason. Tried to show those guys my ticket and they were not interested at all. I have never seen worst service like this from any night club guards here in Melbourne. Edited: I saw lots of comments here in about racism, I guess that looks correct.

6 of my mates waited in line and Bouncers only allowed 2 of us in and told the rest of us "Too many Guys, Sorry, we gotta keep our Ratio good." less than 2 minutes later they changed their mind for whatever reason and allowed us in, before entering the Bouncer was Angry and said he would "Strangle Me." out cold if i did anything stupid. 2nd time in Melbourne and First time going their, the Entry Bouncers need to learn some serious Social Skills instead of using Wannabe Tough guy acts and intimidation methods. the Club itself is good, just Runned by Dropkicks who like powertripping.

The bouncer of the club is racist, he was proud that he was racist and had no regrets mentioning that he was not allowing us inside because we didn’t had white skin. He himself was not an Aussie and was an Immigrant with “big beards”.. Sorry to mention RACISM is still in the country and I saw it winning today.

BLACK AND WHITE unless you fit exactly into these skin shades don’t bother showing up. Had a birthday package booked and waited 40mins in the queue and they refused to check the id and kicked us out of the line as we reached the door. All the other reviews about racism are true.

Possibly the most unprofessional and unwelcoming entrance I’ve ever encountered. Look at your front door staff guys, first impressions last......This looks like it will always be a kiddies club/blue light disco. Not a serious club.....pass for me.

Overcrowded, Overpriced, Rude/Racist Bouncers, Dirty and Not safe for women. My girlfriend got kicked out for absolutely no reason, when asked for an explanation, they accused her of something wild that she didn't do and asked us both to leave. Ruined the night for us, not worth it at all. Wish I could get a refund.

Really bad music

I purchased tickets online and couldn’t wait to see the DJ tha I am fan from other countries. When I got to the front door they turned me away with no reason at all? I came all the way to Melbourne for this - my night was completely ruined! What’s the point of buying a ticket if security is discriminatory and chooses at the door, this is 2022 - the door should be open to all! Horrible experience, worst place to go, very sad and bad energy.

Security are power hungry, was dragged out of the club for absolutely no reason. I was never asked to leave by security, (if I was asked to leave I would have) was just standing putting on lip gloss in the corner and had my arm grabbed and was dragged out, am now left with a bruise on my arm from the pure force that was used on me, absolutely disgusting

Absolute Awful. My friends and I went out for a cigarette and then weren't able to go back down to the main stage downstairs. Absolutely ridiculous to pay $30 for entry and then be stuck in 2 rooms upstairs without your choosing, where the music is worse than downstairs.

This venue off King Street will always get 5 stars from me! The venue size is great due to having multiple levels. Outside smokers have a Dj and bar also 🙂

Security is 100% a joke 😂😡 They treat people so poorly with great disrespect we went downstairs to go find our friends and security, barely and physically abused one of our friends for no reason and told us we need to pay another $30 for entry and 30 seconds later trying to talk to the security , a bunch of girls got in for free When everyone else has to pay, and they had the same excuses us something needs to be done Save your time and money

DON'T BUY TICKETS ONLINE!! They deny entry whoever they please, no reasoning with rude and racist bouncers/management and tickets are made non refundable. Trust me there are much better clubs than this we. Just don't waste your nights here!

I was with two other friends on a Saturday night. After an hour and a half waiting in line to be able to enter the disco, when I arrived at the access door the first security guard just pointed to the side of the street and said “you can leave”. He didn't even give space for conversation. I asked why and said it was my birthday. He said only get out of the way because there are more people behind. Without understanding why I tried to argue once more and he said me “the house was already full”. But there were still a lot of people behind us and why weren't they warning in line if that was the truth? Supposedly he did this because we were 3 men and we didn't bring women with us. This was on my birthday, I stopped going somewhere else and went there, and there were friends of mine who arrived earlier and entered the house. It was a huge lack of respect to me and my friends, and also for those who came in and were waiting for me to celebrate my birthday. Bad customer relationship.

Honestly the worst club in Melbourne. Purchased an express ticket, only to be kicked out of the line along with 20-30 other people who had waited over an hour. The bouncer said no refunds for anyone. I’ve been to many clubs in Melbourne but this is not worth a glance.

Racist venue. We went with a couple friends mixed group guys and girls. The security let all of our female friends in and stop myself and two other guys at the door. We then got told we weren’t allowed in for whatever reason. After talking to the guards we got told that “they can only let in a set amount of Africans in and they reached the quota”. Funny thing the guard who told us this was black as well….

Have had some good times here in the past. The DJs and venue made for a electrifying atmosphere. Unfortunately the security team are very unprofessional and adopt intimidation tactics. Was kicked out without any explanation as to why and when I confronted one of the security members for an explanation, I was treated in a very rude and disrespectful way, told that ‘life’s unfair’. This venue has lots of potential to be great but is significantly hindered by a very poor security team.

30 dollars entry and then bartenders take advantage by charging you $16 for a jaegar bomb. Thanks for the experience, won't come back again.

The stairs get very slippery from people spilling alcohol and whatnot. My friend slipped and fell down the stairs; hurting his thumb. Had an x-ray today and turns out he fractured it. SURELY a health and safety issue there!!

Brought $40 tickets to the NYE event, lined up for 30 minutes, denied entry at the door and told the ticket doesn't guarantee entry to the venue, incredible

SHOUTOUT TO TAMARA THE BARTENDER! Shes an absolute legend! I had a drink knocked out of my hand and she remade it for me for free!! Made my night! p.s. she deserves a raise and a few weekends off so she doesn’t have to deal with drunk idiots like myself ;)

Worst security n organisation, denied entry 2 weeks ago, still waiting for refund, bouncer told us he can't let us in because night is only for young crowd, he let 5 guys in just after 10mins while we were waiting for refund, just put sign outside no brown skin, easy for owners n easy for rest of world

Levels is my go to place on a Saturday, venue is amazing I love the 3 levels with different music and overall vibe is 10/10!

I celebrated my birthday here. The things I like about Level was I got several benefits like free VIP entry and free shots which I enjoyed. There is enough space for many people and a smoking area. This was excellent. I think the entry fee could be improved upon, there is a $20-$25 entrance fee for non VIP entry which my friends had to pay, I think $15-$20 would make better sense. The main room seems like a basement which for some people might be enjoyable but for me I prefer lighter rooms. The music was also decent, and drinks were fairly priced. In summary: I liked how there were lots of birthday benefits, I liked the space, I think the entry fee could be cheaper, and the main room is too much like a basement for me, the music and drink price was decent.

I liked the 3 floors. Had tickets so came through a side entrance with a tiny line. Security was nice too me and once inside staff keep their distance and mind their business. Would give 4 stars but it was way too hot. I saw one fan that wasnt turned on. Air-conditioning not strong enough.

PSA for all guys: LEAVE YOUR BUM BAGS AT HOME we got told by security that we can’t bring them in, when they could’ve just easily checked our bags. also, dear LEVELS management, PLEASE inform your patrons of your dress code on SOCIAL MEDIA. Could’ve saved us the trouble. 😒

Was denied entry without reason. Maybe they have something against the brown skin / immigrants, I guess. The venue name is BROWN Alley, but they don't let brown skin in. Unfortunate thing is I made a booking through eventbrite for which I won't be refunded now as Levels doesn't have a proper communication channel so not sure how or where do we communicate with them. They don't let people in, but they take their money (Scammers). Disgusting!

Everything was fine the workers at the entrance were rude . Security guards were all friendly especially panda give that man a pay rise but the security guards inside were abit rude and were there to intimidate not protect not very safe for females I have worked as security guards before and I would recommend to get rid off some of the guards cause they usless.

No funktion1s but still great soundsysten and acoustics. Great filthy minimal techno beats with some EDM bangers peppered throughout and a dash of hardstyle. The venue has a cool look/vibe due to being in the old platform 1 train tunnel from way way back. Staff very friendly and helpful.
