Hi everyone. As we all know or should know The RSL is a wonderful organization and to be supported by many. There is always a lovely ambiance. Food is excellent and we have eaten at various RLS in Australia. We are social members of the beautiful RSL in Frankston - Victoria and, we eat there regularly. Also, do take other guests as well. Whether you have a meal at the Bistro or some Coffee and cakes or sandwiches at the Coffee Shop area , you will be delighted to be served quality food. Prices are extremely affordable and excellent service by their staff. See u soon. Best wishes to all the staff!

Good. Just maybe advise diners to choose a table first before they stand in line to order, to avoid having to join the back of an even longer line next time. Food was OK, calamari were warm/cold

Plenty of parking. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. For the 8 of us our meals arrived less than 5 minutes and was delicious. Gaming room staff so friendly.

Wasn't impressed with the food, we had chicken scallopini and the chicken was very dry. The entertainment on the other hand Single Income were awesome.

Very well run place. Staff professional and friendly and do their best with customers wanting to chit chat with a line snaking behind them. I gave a lowish rating because the food is far too hit and miss; sometimes poorly cooked, poor ingredients, cold food: at other times, the exact opposite. Sorry, but more misses than hits

Went into the cracked pepper room. Great meal deals every day of the week. Best to book ahead. Child friendly. The Parmas were great and you can take home what you cannot eat.

Good value in pleasant surroundings and great service. Went in on a busy Thursday lunchtime without a booking and were seated immediately. Seafood basket was generous and I struggled to finish it. Bottomless pit teenage son was actually beaten by a parma, although the slider entree he had might have contributed. Didn't stop either of us from having a delicious parfait desert.

We used one of the function rooms for hosting a hybrid style meeting for teachers and support staff members working in the local area. The room is so spacious and everything was prepared ready for the meeting when we arrived. The function coordinator, Susan, has been very helpful and thorough and it was very easy to book the room. The meeting participants were very happy with the new venue for our regional meeting.

Seniors meal was excellent value. Huge carpark, but it fills quickly at lunchtime, so it's better to get there early. Some staff spoke in a condescending way to white-haired customers. Most of us are not deaf or lost our marbles, and we would like to be treated the same as those half our age. Other than that, it was a great venue.

Frankston RSL is very respectable & well managed, good pricing for a feed. Probably the best RSL in the mornington peninsula.

After not being to Frankston RSL for a number of years we chose this venue for my sons 20th birthday. We used to bring our kids to the bistro when they were young. I feel it's lost its spark somehow... staff not as friendly, food was average. Chicken risotto contained two cubes of what I assumed was chicken. Hopefully this was just a once off, but our family had high hopes for what used to be a great venue.

Great food, but poor service as 6 of the 8 people had finished their lunch meals, before the last 2 were served, after having to complain several times. Plus no Seniors meals on the weekend which is very poor form....

Staff were great, food was inedible. The first meal I ordered was the lamb salad. The portion of lamb was tiny, very overcooked and cold from the fridge. The salad had so much goats cheese it just stuck to your mouth. I sent it back and asked for the king prawn salad. I waited another 35mins for it to arrive and when it came out it had four very overcooked and incredible dry small prawns that were freezing cold. The meat portions are embarrassing for the price, the fact that they appear to be serving kitchen scraps out of the fridge is horrifying. I couldn't eat either meal. The staff were lovely and refunded me. They all seem to suggest it was a problem they were well aware of and clearly tired of dealing with. How this chef has still got a job is beyond me??. The reviews are pretty consistent about the poor quality of the food and my experienceis not a one off with others here complaing of over cooked and cold food.. What a shame. Keep your wait staff, they're excellent.

Staff lovely. Found a hair in my meal (Chicken Scallopini). Waitress was very accommodating and agreed it was a hair and not a "stringy piece of mushroom" as advised by the chef. Chef walked past the table and I can assure you it was def a black hair. Meal was replaced no problem and that was appreciated. Daughter had Calamari main meal and this was not even cooked. Waitress commented "I thought that when I delivered it to you". Advised staff when leaving. Will not be back any time soon. Very disappointing considering we rarely dine out.

Disappointed with the menu on Sunday night. Staff where great but amazed that a club that is supposed to welcome & support its seniors no longer offers senior’s discount on weekends! Dont ever recall the Diggers not offering their services at the weekend ! Its a blight when the whole focus is on $$. They scrapped the old snooker rooms for dinning yet the place was relatively empty. Lost respect

The Nashville tour. The microphones didn’t work. For most of the evening we didn’t really hear the lead’s voice. The dinner was terrible. Cal slaw was simply off. Ribs were tough. Portion small. The desert was good.

  • 4/5 Anna J. 3 months ago on Google • 4 reviews New
Food and service in dining were fantastic. Lovely place to have lunch, too, and reasonable pricing. Didn't give it 5 stars as the front reception staff was too busy talking between themselves and made me wait till they finished before answering any queries I had. This has happened 3 times in the last few months. I was totally ignored.

Was met by an extremely rude, what seemed to be a lady in her 70’s working on the front door named Jen. She was the most disgustingly rude individual I have ever come across in my life. Definitely not someone I would ever employ to have at an entrance of any establishment. She was rude, obnoxious and just simply not a nice person. To the point where she was making snide remarks to her co-worker about me right in front of me while I was signing in. If I wasn’t there for a 6year old birthday dinner I would have walked straight out. When I looked up and asked why she ever would think that was ok to do while working, she stutter and tried to say she was talking about someone else. The type of response I would expect from a 16 year old…not an aged woman like that. This woman should never be employed in hospitality or any sort of customer facing job. Im pretty sure this wouldn’t be the first complaint about her either. I will never go back and will be spreading the word to everyone I know not to go to this place either. What a pig of a person! And that is an insult to pigs! Do yourselves a favour and terminate that employee who is a representation of your business…not good at all!!

Great night celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday. The RSL were easy to deal with and catered for special dietary requirements and for what we needed to make the night special.

I recently attempted to visit Frankston RSL for a casual evening out, only to be met with disappointment at the door. Despite being dressed in fairly clean hi-vis work attire, I was refused entry due to their strict dress code policy. While I understand the importance of maintaining a certain standard, I found the lack of flexibility concerning. It’s disheartening when a venue prioritizes arbitrary rules over accommodating paying customers. As a result, I was left feeling unwelcome and frustrated. I hope the management reconsiders their policies to ensure a more inclusive and enjoyable experience for all patrons.”

We celebrated our family reunion in The Simpson function room at the Frankston RSL and it was great! Susan was extremely helpful during the organization process - she answered all my questions and made sure the day ran smoothly. Food packages and drinks were reasonably priced, the space was large, had its own outdoor area, toilets and bar. Would highly recommend.

I attended the talk by the crime writer Vikki Petraitis at the RSL The venue had allocated seating which made finding our seats quick and easy. Sadly at times, we couldn't hear Vikki that well! The staff are fantastic and very helpful but the security guy was extremely rude over a bottle of water I bought with me.

On Friday 9th September my fiancé and I went to Frankston RSL. We were welcomed by Maureen. Kiana and Darcy served us and Dean prepared/cooked our food. Chicken Parma and Pork Roast with Gravy, Chocolate Mud Cake with Cream, Sticky Date Pudding with Butter Scotch Sauce and Ice cream, Lemon, Lime and Bitters. We met Michael who was happy to hear that we enjoyed the food and customer service. We would highly recommend this place to our friends and family.

Great place to go for a evening meal with the wife.. the menu is excellent and the Renovations have made this place fantastic. So much to do and the food prices are good for the Members. Nice place to have a chat to the locals.

I've been here a few times over the years but last night was the worst meal I think I've ever been served. I ordered the seafood risotto and the rice was nowhere near cooked and was still crunchy and watery. Overall it was also tasteless. I was in a large group and didn't want to return it as it would have meant another meal long after everyone had finished. Disappointed...

  • 5/5 Sue W. 2 years ago on Google
I did love going here. The lunch menu was varied, catering for most of the whims I've had in ordering lunch. Pasta, surf, turf, salads dishes, stir fry and stews The staff are extremely well trained so that their customer service was top quality. We had lunch and drinks and stayed well beyond the usual lunchhour timeframe. Rest rooms were very clean and well stocked with hand wash. You must walk past gambling machines to get to the restaurant, which was a revolting aspect of enticing addicts into the habit - or back into it. I'll happily go back to the restaurant.

Great size meals, really friendly staff our kid went walkies and they all offered to help find him. 3 different kids play areas. Lots of war memorabilia and pokies for all you gamblers out there

We have visited here twice in recent weeks. Two out of the three meals on each visit were acceptable .The other meals not good ,not good at all. Service was friendly and atmosphere was good. I liked the hand sanitizer on the table. Great idea.

  • 1/5 Joanne W. 1 year ago on Google
I usually love the food here but Saturday night I don’t think anyone on our table really enjoyed their meal. It was a late booking at 7.30 so maybe food sat around for a while towards the end of service .Make sure you ask for a table away from the kids room unless that suits you. * A few months later and I had forgotten about the above review so off we went again to Frankston RSL… what a shame I didn’t remember.. hadn’t improved one vegetarian main meal available ( Nasi Goring) out of only two on the menu. It was awful so salty I only ate a quarter of it, my husband had a seafood basket and it was average too. The RSL had a big renovation but the food is not up to the standard you would expect. Staff were friendly so that was a plus. Won’t bother again till they get their act together in the kitchen.

We comfortably held a function for 170 people, the food was incredible with huge servings. The staff are fast and accommodating. The space they set up was beautiful. We only hold our functions at the RSL, highly recommend.

Delicious food and great place to catch up with friends. We hadn't been here in ages but had a lovely experience.the playground and seats outside were great for the kids and all meals arrived together which was wonderful. Front of house staff were so helpful too.

Lovely RSL, unfortunately, not very good acoustics, not a lot of people but very noisy. The food was nice, but there was no seniors' meals on the weekends. The meal was too big for me. My friends' meals looked nice, but fries weren't the best. Otherwise, pleasant visit.

Susan, Brian and the Frankston RSL team put on a really special night for Langwarrin Soccer Club. The night was effortlessly planned and organised and held with absolute professionalism. From the light package, food through to the security and bar staff, we couldn't fault the preparation and execution for the night. On behalf of the Langwarrin Soccer Club committee, thank you for your support Frankston RSL.

We, the four of us enjoyed the evening at Frankston R.S.L. The venue has a good layout, nicely spaced seating, plenty of well lit parking. Wines and meals were well priced, and delivered to our table hot and well presented. I had the Veal Shank which was flavoursome with a nice glass of red. Good wheelchair access inside and booking is recommended.

Good, food, good value meals, friendly staff, good atmosphere. Minus 1 star for the Wednesday rafle announcements over the PA system which were far too loud making any attempt at a conversation over dinner practically impossible.

  • 4/5 Dee A. 10 months ago on Google
Good range of food to choose from in restaurant, cafe or the bar. The venue can be very busy and noisy at times. And even though there seems to be lots of staff on shifts, it can be difficult to get served at times because they seem to spend a lot of time socialising with each other. Some staff have mastered looking busy even when they aren't!! Warm welcome at front reception.

I’d like to thank all the staff in the bistro last night. When we ordered our meals we were informed they could take up to an hour wait. They were actually nearly 2hrs long. The staff were amazing, under such stress, with 4 chefs down. They kept apologising and thanking us for our patience. My prawn summer salad was delicious. What a wonderful group of employees. Thank you 😊

Sorry to say this as we normally really enjoy the meals at Frankston RSL. But today it was very disappointing! The starter was something out of the freezer with no taste to the slaw that promised flavour. My lunch that I have had several times before and previously very much enjoyed. Lacked flavour and it’s usual pizzas! Would have to think twice about returning.
