Appalling. DO NOT BOOK. My dream has always been to get married with a beautiful view. I love the city we live in and I want to capture that in the photos of our wedding. When we stumbled upon Mon Bijou online we were thrilled looking through the photos of the breathtaking views. We put an enquiry through which outlined why we wanted to look through the space including the views which we received a response from with no mention of said views. We went to see the space, walked through the doors and.... boom there it was. Where the views once were a big cement wall. No views in sight and leaving a dark depressing looking room. The photos on the website are nothing but misleading. As we were 6 months out from our wedding we thought we could still work with the space and make it beautiful. We spoke with the functions host for 3 days to get a quote right. On the 3rd day we were told at 4pm that there was another couple interested in our date and we would need to pay a $200 holding deposit to hold the venue for 24 hours while we decided on final quote. We provided our credit card details at 4:40pm. At 4:50pm we were sent an email congratulating us on choosing Mon Bijou for our said date. At 4:55pm we received a call saying that the other couple had booked the date so it was no longer available for our date. The holding deposit had not been taken so we thought we would just cut our losses and move on. The next morning at 9:39am we received an email saying our holding deposit of $200 had been processed.... what were we holding? The venue had been booked already to someone else. When questioned we were told it was a non refundable deposit. After many rather firm emails we finally got it returned to us. The words I would use to sum this up are, deceptive, conniving & dishonest. This is not what you expect from a venue. My strong advise is steer clear. We live in a great city and there are many other venues to choose from.

Great finger food, nice place

We hosted our corporate 2018 Christmas party. The place looked stunning, we've got everything that was promised, the event manager, the general manager, the waiters offered a perfect service and a warm, professional and respectful treatment. I definitely recommend this venue and especially, recommend the people in charge of the business and the night. Thank you Tamara and especially Ryan for making that an unforgettable night for everyone !!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Mon Bijou and had the most wonderful experience. The staff are fantastic and so approachable, the food is incredible and the cocktails are delicious! We had a lot of guests from overseas and interstate who really appreciated the close proximity to hotels and motels in the city and my husband and I thought when we were planning our wedding: what better way to see Melbourne at its best than from Level 10 and 11 of Mon Bijou - It certainly is a 'jewel' of Melbourne!

Had an event at Mon Bijou this Saturday passed, the service was outstanding, as was the food. A beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere, every guest that came along was so pleased with the evening. Highly recommend.

The staff was super competent and fun. Helped us organise our wedding from start to finish. Great food and bar and they made the venue look amazing.

No air conditioning

My fiancè and I had an amazing experience at Mon Bijou for our engagement party. The staff were very friendly and professional. They were motivated to catar to our needs and never tried to convince us to buy a package we didn't want. The food was amazing and the views of the CBD is even better. I am so glad I found this place. I can not speak highly enough of how amazing this experience was. Thank you so much to all the staff at Mon Bijou.

We have just had the most wonderful wedding at Mon Bijou last night , the food cocktails and service were absolutely 5 star rating . Thank you so much Dan, Ryan and all the staff who made this wedding such an incredible experience for the bridal party and family and friends. The ambience within was described by a guest as a wonderful glistening jewel in the sky, and it certainly fulfilled the WOW FACTOR WONDERFUL Thank you so much for all the care ,effort, and expertise put into this very special night.

Food not good

Mon Bijou a Fabulously glamorous Penthouse on Level 10. The food stations and service were amazing, the venue looked just stunning with the fresh flowers and candles. Tamara this event was organised right to a T! Your service and availability was beyond, everything was placed out beautifully and flowed beautifully. Ryan you were amazing and always there for me, only had to look around and there you were. You had the space looking so glamorous, thank you both!

We hosted our First birthday as a company a few weeks ago with our clients, friends and family. The venue and views were absolutely stunning. What a fantastic place to host any event! Absolute legends all round!!

Absolutely incredible venue! Couldn't have picked a more stunning place to celebrate our engagement, the food was amazing and the whole experience was memorable. Staff were excellent and made it fun, easy and hassle free! Was worth every dollar and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing venue for an event! I organised an awards dinner for a client here and all the guests were absolutely blown away by the view, decorations and interior, and the cocktails. I didn't get to eat a lot but I heard the food was great too. We used the downstairs for awards and upstairs for the DJ and dancing. Would definitely throw a party for myself here if I could afford..

I attended a private function in this amazing venue and I was really pleased to have discovered this stunning spot! Phenomenal view of the city and perfect location! The staff was very professional and expert in satisfying the customers palette (fantastic cocktails!) In terms of food, it was delicious! Great and tasty finger food! It was such a fun night! Highly recommend this venue for private events or birthdays!!

Great venue, staff and a great venue to host a corporate event

I had the pleasure of having our wedding reception at Mon Bijou, the team was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. It was the most stress free experience. The food, service and drinks were amazing. Thank you so much!
