This was a great experience for the family. My kids (aged 5,6,7) had so much fun taking pictures in all the different scenes. There was a huge variety of scenes to take photos and get creative. A family could spend a good 2 hours going through slowly taking perfect pictures. However, realistically if you go on the weekend, it’s very busy, and the staff will hurry you through so everyone gets their turn. I found it was a little over crowded inside the gallery , and sometimes it became hard to take your turn, because everyone was being rushed to keep moving. I also recommend taking the kids to the toilets beforehand. There are no toilets inside, and after we lined up for 45 min to get in, 1 of my kids needed to go toilet after 10min inside. This obviously cut our entire experience very short because we had to exit and walk out into the main shopping precinct just to take kids toilet. This was my only con, but I still give it a 5 star because it’s a memorable magical experience and the photos are truly unbelievable to take home. For a family of 2 adults and 2 children, it’s $78, and free for kids 0-4yrs. Not bad for a magical experience that the whole family can enjoy!

What an experience. The highlight of our recent Melbourne trip away. I spent 5 days with a group of friends (6 of us) and we all said this was the best part of our trip. The experience was something that was different and fun. I highly recommend it while in Melbourne. It’s easy to get to on the 70 team to Docklands from the Melbourne CBD.,

Awesome customer service 😁👍 What an amazing experience for the entire family at an affordable price too! Visited this week, not crowded at all, a good opportunity to take your time and get some fabulous photos! Very impressed with the quality and variety of scenes provided 👍👍 There's even a photo circle to stand on, to show you where to stand to take the perfect pic and even a suggestion whether to take it portrait or landscape 😁 Check it out over these school holidays!!

Loved the place. It was our first time here and we enjoyed it. It's a very realistic 3D art and if you stand / sit / adjust yourself in the right position inside of that particular 3D art work, it appears exactly as if you are a part of it. It doesn't look artificial at all, it's that real. Coming here on public holiday may be a bad idea as obviously you would be sorrounded by other people and you may not get enough time to take awesome pictures of yourself and your family. Besides, the psychological pressure of having to keep moving forward in the queue if you are a considerate person - is bothering to me (personally). Pricing is reasonable I felt. A family of husband, wife & one kid is $65. Open hours from 10 am to 5 pm. Overall, a very nice place. Staff is quick to respond, quick to help & helpful.

A really interesting experience and your experience will be enhanced the more willing you are to get in an acting mode. The more creative the more memories you'll have. Our experience was a bit hampered because we had a 2yo to run after who wasn't particularly interested in posing for us. Nevertheless he had a lot of fun in his own imagination and way of playing. Would recommend.

Nestled upstairs in Melbourne's Docklands area. A direct Factory shopping outlet outdoor centre with some eateries. This was possibly the most fun we all had together and especially for my 5yo daughter. Artistic paintings on the walls that when photos are taken from a certain spot look like you're really there. It's really well done. Some of the older paintings are a bit scuffed and you can see that in the pictures and it doesn't quite work but overwhelmingly they are mostly great. We spent probably 1.5 hours here and took hundreds of photos. I thought it was a little on the prices side but after we finished it was totally worth it. So many laughs and so many good photos. Would recommend if you have kids to bring along

We had a great time. It’s important to make sure who takes the pics that they know what they’re doing. Some of mine were ruined because the person zoomed in or got other things in that couldn’t be cropped out. Definately go with people who are fun because this was fun to play and pretend for the photos. It’s helpful too that one the ground in front of most pics is instructions how to take the best pic. If unsure take a pic of the scene and see what it looks like so you know how to pose for the perfect pic. Worth a visit.

This was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredible, and are continually walking around to take photos for family and couples. Artwork was superb and it's quite incredible how they've put it all together. There were so many rooms and photo opportunities...it was genuinely surprising that the additional photos and rooms kept coming! Some great snaps and great memories - definitely worth a visit, particularly if you're doing the Melbourne star at the same time. Would love for dogs to be able to attend (tip for the owners :P)

This was by far the most interesting and interactive place I've been to, the art is just amazing, the staff very friendly and helpful. Price wise I'd say definitely worth the price. This is a great place for families, a couples date, or even just by yourself.

Staff was good to ensure that didn’t get too busy which made it easier to get a good photo. The art was very interesting, fun and good quality ❤️👍🏻😌 The markers showing how to pose and where to take the photo was very helpful. Overall very fun and enjoyable experience and came away w lots of cool looking 3D photos 💗

Amazing 3D dimensional photography experience enjoyed by both kids and adults. Value for money, try and go at an off peak time so you can get enough pictures without too many people in the way. About 2-3 hours would be enough to explore every artwork.

A perfect day out at the Australia’s first immersive, ‘trick-art’ gallery! Stepping into the world of optical illusions with 15 artists, 1000 litres of paint, 800 hours and over 80 new artworks. Must visit place if you’re around the city. I would suggest to visit on a weekday so you can spend more time taking the best shots. :)

We really had a great time. The photos come out awesome. Take them on your own phone, as many as you like. So after you pay entry fee, there is no more expenses. Its great value for money.

A wonderful place for kids and adults who loves art and photographs. The place is located in a very convenient place next to Melbourne star. The place is filled with paintings everywhere, looking like 3D if the photo taken from right angle. A place to visit to get lost in the world of art. Tickets could be bought in advance or at the venue itself, it wasn’t that busy on weekday when we visited the attraction.

  • 4/5 Katrina H. 3 months ago on Google • 30 reviews New
The paintings were just amazing. I do think they need to spread out the groups that they allow to enter so there are not so many people waiting around to get their photos taken. Also, on a hot day, with a lot of people in there, it was very hot and what little cooling they had on was just not working.

Such fun! Went early but it soon got crowded but most of the people were polite, sharing or being aware of others taking photos. Staff on hand to get photos is good.

  • 5/5 Tse P. 4 years ago on Google
It was in the middle of the holiday season, very busy but I would expect a very different experience outside the holidays. It’s been moved to a different location in the same mall, so a lot (if not all) of the pictures are different. The staff gave brief ideas on how and where to get the most out of the 3D pictures. There are staff in different spots to help taking photos for us too. The pictures are of a great variety, horrors, adrenaline, romance, animals, fairytales, jungles... etc. we went with an elderly and all had a lot of fun.

ArtVo was an incredible, interactive and immersive art Expo that had my husband and 2 boys (aged 8 & 12) all asking for their photos to be taken. From facing sharks that have broken into a cage, to patting a lion of facing King Kong, there was something for everyone to try. The angles make all the difference at making your photo more lifelike. The artists are so clever and we all absolutely loved ArtVo. Highly recommend it.

The experience was so good. Had tons of fun with my friends. Really great place to visit with friends. And, if you and your friends are crazy about taking photos and uploading it to social media, go for it. I felt like I was in some other place after looking at some taken photos of me. So many 3d spots to take photos. A great place to go with your friends.

Took the kids for something different. Kids are 7 and 11. They enjoyed it but the novelty wore off very quickly. However, the scenes and variety is great and they change it every 2 years. When you look back at your photos, they look so much better and you can crop them to look even more realistic. Reasonable pricing too.

We bought tickets online via ‘my nrma’ as they have about 15% discount. We have to select the exact date and time during booking, but they didn’t seem too fussed about it as were about 20mins late. The artvo is actually inside the shopping centre in level 1. If exiting tram, just enter the shopping center, walk towards the end (near food court), and take the escalator. You can also find artvo directions in the shopping center. Once you check-in and make your way in, a friendly guide will tell you how to take pics so it looks like a 3D image. The directions near each artwork is also pretty simple to follow - stand in the circle, use portrait or landscape mode (as suggested) to take the pic. It was a great experience and we can spend about 2 hours inside. I wish it was bigger. This place is for friends, couples and families to go together. Unfortunately this place will not be of interest for solo visitors and I don’t think they are the target audience as well. Kids will have a good time here. Hope this helps. Thanks.

This was a blast, my 7 year old love the experience. The facilities had a little wear and tear but nothing too bad. Lights all worked as expected and produced some excellent shots. My only criticism is that it is pricy, over 70$ for 2 adults and a child.

Great experience for all family. Exceptional 3D art realistic paintings, great for photoshoots. They should have tell minimum expected time required to visit all the rooms. We missed out some art works because of of hurry to take pictures as many as possible before the closure of studio. Will book again soon.

Upon recommendation from families who visited this place we decided to pay a visit to this place during our Melbourne trip. Artvo is quite an innovative concept which keeps the family entertained during the visit with photos taken in 3Dalin It looks real. Amazing experience and thoroughly enjoyed a family. Highly recommended

I was here today and I loved it. There was lots of well painted art and guide poses. For instance you could sit in an outline of a glass and it looked like you were locked inside. Only inconvenience is that it is hard to find and you really have to read the signs to not miss it. Also there is no private parking for it you have to park at the underground parking lot nearby but it is hard to find ArtVo from there. But it was such a good experience for me and my family I really recommend it but there is also no restroom so maybe consider going before

  • 2/5 Swati S. 3 months ago on Google • 16 reviews New
Not worth the money. The arts are not done properly to give the 3d effect. The height of roof is small so 3d effect doesn't come great. The floor stickers come in the way when you take pictures again reduces the 3d effect. Overall you can completely skip this and save your 30$. In case you are looking for a great 3d art then go to Langkawi, Malaysia. Its stunning 3d arts. And much cheaper tickets then this one.

I didn't know how much my kids were going enjoy this place. We chose it over the aquarium and didn't regret it. Artvo's a great place for individuals, couples or the whole family. It is fun in a different way, another level. In addition, the staff is amicable and help you with the photos.

Super fun experience!! The staff were really friendly and helpful, suggesting the best poses and offering to take photos of us. There was a huge range of photo backgrounds and optical illusions that were fun to explore and pose with. Maybe slightly over priced, but I'm really glad that we went because we've got literally hundreds of funny and great photos from it.

ArtVo Docklands is great place to have fun with family and friends. We spent almost 2 and half hours there. All the painting are really nice and we took loads of 3D photographs. Absolutely beautiful artwork. Nicely laid out. The staff are super friendly always ready to help you get the best out of your pictures, and also assist in taking them for you. What a hoot this place is! Wonderful perspective artwork and friendly helpful staff make this a great experience for children of all ages ( I was with 4 friends with only one under 60 years young). We went on Suturday and yet it was not overcrowded. Staff was very kind and useful (they helped us with taking some photos where we needed to rotate a photo as well). We had to leave to go to the restroom and we were allowed to come back. We had really enjoyable time.

Loved it again for the second time!! The first time was with friends one Saturday, very crowded.. Went on a Wednesday, much better and quieter!! It was great to see that they changed some areas to keep them interesting!!

What an awesome experience. Our group of 6 adults had so much fun and now we all have a 'trillion' photos to go through.

Okay. Let’s get it out there. This is not my thing. I don’t do selfies. I don’t do poses in front of other things to make it look like I’m holding up the tower of Pisa, etc. But by now you’ve got the idea of this place. It’s a collection of amazing art (my rating does not do justice to the quality of the art and the skill of the artists) that you pose in front of to make it look like your touching a shark, surfing space, etc. The kids LOVED it!!!

An awesome experience. We had a lot of fun exploring and creating 3d photos at ArtVo. The paintings are segregated theme wise and there something for everyone. Guide spots have been placed throughout the venue to guide you in taking the photos from the best distance and angle to maximise the 3d effect. The staff are very helpful. Highly recommend ArtVo.

It’s my first time going to Artvo. The painting was great, however lots of lights aint working probably. Lots of photos did not come out right due to that. Its dark, really dark. It’s quite disappointing the simplest elements do not work probably which affected the whole experience.

Worth the money. Easily you'll snap nearly around a hundred memories. But DO NOT GO ALONE (a poor lady was desperately trying to balance her phone on the floor; we helped her take couple of snaps), the more the number the better the experience is, and the fun.

I visited ArtVo with my daughter in law and grandsons. What an awesone experience. The art is amazing and you feel completely a part of it. The photo points on the floor make it easy to get the best shots. My grandsons aged 3, 6 and 8 were in awe. Money very well spent.

Fun, interactive indoor activity on a cold, windy day. It would be better to go in a group so you can help each other take photos. Going with my daughter, photo opportunities for myself were limited. There were limited staff around to ask for help with photo taking.

Artvo's immersive optical illusion gallery is a treasure trove of creativity and interactive fun, providing an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming presence of a friendly staff member set the tone for our visit. Their inquiry about whether it was our first time visiting the gallery reflected their attentiveness and desire to ensure a memorable experience for newcomers. Upon affirming that it was indeed our first visit, we were introduced to another staff member who became our guide into the world of optical illusions. Their expertise in showing us how to position ourselves for photos to achieve the most convincing illusions added an invaluable layer to the experience. The gallery’s art was not only visually impressive but also engaging, inviting us to become part of the artwork itself. Amidst the gallery's bustling atmosphere, the patience and organization of the visitors were commendable, with each family courteously waiting for their turn to capture memories. The highlight was another staff member's kind offer to take a family photo for us, showcasing the team's dedication to customer service. Artvo's gallery offers more than just visual spectacles; it provides a wonderfully interactive environment where the magic of art and the warmth of considerate staff come together to create an unforgettable adventure. The whole experience was a delightful blend of art, illusion, and the joy of shared discovery.
