Probably one of the best grounds in Australia. One of those iconic places of Melbourne and Australia. I love coming here and watching the footy. And have really enjoyed taking some photos with the G being the main subject. It's a really good place to do some drone photography.

A magnificent cricket ground! Great atmosphere and facilities. Can easily be accessible by Tram, Train or Car. Lots of parking available during games. Security and tickets validation seamless and efficient. The toilets were clean. Food is available on site. A must visit in Melbourne, specially if you are a Cricket fan.

I have been a big Taylor fan for many years; however, I was actively considering not attending the Eras tour in fear of getting in and out of the event with 96,000 people plus everyone on the outside listening in. However, I was equally shocked and impressed by: ✅How well they had the crowds moving. ✅How easy it was to get around. ✅How well organised it was. ✅How friendly the staff were. ✅How well the facilities handed the capacity.

Great stadium for watching AFL football. Only disappointment is the extreme wait when purchasing a beverage or food (up to 25 minutes wait for a drink). Serving crowds in a timely manner should get easier after a century of events hosting over 100,000 people.

Came here to watch the Manchester United Tour games. Very fun experience and huge stadium, not a fan of how far you are from the pitch and that Level 1 seating is quite flat which means anyone standing up will block the view of those behind. Would recommend booking on Level 2. Easily accessible via public transport, best to take the Metro after games as the tram come infrequently and it’s always packed.

The tour was excellent. Just a point that would have helped, more toilets. At the point of entry there was one disabled toilet that had a queue already of schoolchildren. Maybe a small cafe for those on the tour would have been helpful.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known simply as "The G",[4] is an Australian sports stadium located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Founded and managed by the Melbourne Cricket Club, it is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, the 11th largest globally, and the second largest cricket ground by capacity after Motera Stadium. The MCG is within walking distance of the city centre and is served by Richmond and Jolimont railway stations, as well as the route 70 tram. It is adjacent to Melbourne Park and is part of the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Precinct.

Famously dubbed cricket-lovers Mecca and rightfully so. This stadium is unlike any other cricket stadium. It is humungous and there is beauty in its vastness. You have to visit it to feel the magic. The services and facilities are top notch as well. Food and beverage option are nice and service is usually fast. I am not a beer lover but nothing like enjoying a cold cider while watching your favourite players in action. The crowds can get rowdy towards the end of the day but security/police are quick to take action. So that's a plus too. Also, if you walk towards the net you can watch top batsmen practising up close. Not just cricket, a game of footy is also very pleasant at MCG.

Beautiful place and fun to watch a footy game. The General Admission seats are inexpensive, yet give you a good view of the pitch and a feeling of the atmosphere.

It was an amazing experience to watch Cricket match there. It was high contested match between India 🇮🇳 and Pakistan 🇵🇰 . The crowds were cheerful and the atmosphere was eclectic. The stadium was well maintained, the entry exit were pretty smooth. The bathrooms were alright and food service was good at the food joints inside the stadium.

Tour really worth doing, and the tour guide ( volunteer) Travis, was both knowledgeable and enjoyable. We booked on line and there was a cricket match being played when we attended. Because of the match, we couldn't go to the players room but did everything else. I don't like cricket, but I thoroughly enjoyed the history of the ground. All of the guides and staff were fabulous and a credit to MCG

Wonderful stadium. Watching match here has a different level. Watched Australia India women's T20 final. Australia tonight was a better team in all spheres. Congratulations to Australia. Kudos to India to reach their first finals of T20.

One of the best stadium around the world. Lots of parking available and convenient location from the ground. Need more signage around the stadium to look around and find things. Lots of toilets facilities inside the ground. Alcohol is more expensive at the venue. Food is at reasonable price. It looks amazing the night time.

The MCG is the biggest and most spectacular sports precinct in Australia. It's such a vibrant venue, delivering one of the best sports atmospheres in the world. I would recommend visiting even if you're not a sports person as this place is all about the experience. Facilities are great, and the stadium is easily accessible via public transport. Food and drinks are reasonably priced for a sports venue.

Had a blast at the Melbourne Stars vs. Melbourne Renegades WBBL match at the MCG! Seamless entry with well-marked gates, easy ticket scan, and excellent seating. The facilities were top-notch – clean toilets, great food options, and fantastic seats. The firework display was the cherry on top! Overall, a fantastic experience.

The 'G' - as the locals call it - holds a special place in my heart. I wouldn't call myself the biggest sports fanatic, but there's something undeniably electrifying about being in that massive stadium, surrounded by a sea of passionate fans. I recently went to watch an Australian Football League (AFL) game, and the atmosphere was incredible. The cheers were deafening, the colors were vibrant, and the entire stadium pulsed with energy. Even though I wasn't fully following the game's intricacies, the enthusiasm was contagious, and I found myself swept up in the excitement. Beyond the game itself, the MCG itself is impressive. It's steeped in history, and you can almost feel the echoes of legendary matches and athletes that have graced the ground. I also appreciated the ease of getting around the stadium - finding my seat and grabbing food and drinks was a breeze. If you're ever in Melbourne, I highly recommend catching a game at the MCG, even if you're not a die-hard sports fan. It's a truly unique experience that offers a glimpse into Australian culture and the unparalleled energy of a big sporting event.

I did a tour of that MCG that apparently most locals don’t usually go on 🤣 it’s the out of town tourist like me usually get on this tour. I personally think it’s still worth going even if you are local. So much tradition and pride in this establishment. Very interesting to see even if you are not into cricket itself. It’s madness to hear that member waiting list is like 18+ years though😅 Not much to say except enjoy some photos I took. It looks way better in person though. It has that ground feeling to it.

What a historic tour I had, headed straight from the airport and was able to keep my luggage in the locker space they had. Absolutely no issues. Ian was our guide and he was the most exciting person I have ever seen. He had so much energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and passion about cricket and all the historical events he shared with us was something special and most of us didn’t know. The museum tour is on your own but there are guides present as well. They will help you understand about anything you ask but it’s not limited to cricket. MCG is about everything. I highly recommend the tour.

Good place to feel the vibe of any match. Second biggest cricket ground in the world having all world class facility. Easy to reach through any public transports. Veg & non-veg both categories food are available. As well boozing options are too available. It should be in Must go list for anyone whoever visiting Melbourne.

Although I know next to nothing about cricket, this was such a great visit. The stadium tour was really interesting, and you get to see some fantastic facilities in the ground itself. The museum is also fantastic, so many interactive elements, including the opportunity to take part in some sports too. Would recommend, whether you’re a sports fan or not. Thank you Sue for a fantastic tour, hope you get your blazer!

Did a tour here and it was very enjoyable, Bryan was diligent and informative. We moved through lots of areas within the MCG and he gave different information and history for each. Would recommend a tour here, give you a chance to see the grounds without all the hustle of an event!

My husband is a great cricket fan so this was a must for us to visit when we were in Melbourne. I was amazed how big the ground is and how fascinating the tour was - I like cricket and I learnt a lot from our guide, Robert. He was very good humoured and answered all the questions that the group had very patiently. It was terrific to tour the ground that I had only seen previously on TV. Would really recommend this tour if you are visiting the city - fantastic!

Doing the MCG tour was an absolutely amazing time. The tour guide showed us around several unknown and not really seen areas unless you are a MCC member. To see the ground up close without a game of footy or cricket being played on it was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Came here to watch Manchester United game on tour. It was amazing. The stadium looked amazing from afar and close up even better. The security guards were very friendly of me getting a photo from where we were not allowed because of our tickets. The seats were very nice and clean as for the toilets. The atmosphere was also great. Must go here. Very nice place.

Great stadium, huge but well organised. It was easy to get inside the stadium and find our seats. The canteen/ restaurant was big and it served food and drinks with reasonable prices. Staff were very nice with great custumer services, security guards were friendly and helpful. Toilet was clean and easily accessible. Even though there was a huge crowd of 100,000 people attending the event, we walked and exited easily. The concert of was out of this word. What a great experience we had!!!

Attending the Aus vs Pak Test Match at the MCG was an extraordinary experience, significantly enhanced by the premium amenities and services. From the moment I entered the suite, I was immersed in a realm of comfort, luxury, and sophistication that profoundly enriched the cricket-watching experience. The seating arrangement within the suite was exceptional, offering plush seats that provided an unobstructed view of the pitch. This prime vantage point allowed for an immersive and captivating viewing experience, enabling spectators to witness the thrilling cricket action unfold with unparalleled clarity and excitement. Furthermore, the hospitality services were impeccable, with courteous and attentive staff ensuring a seamless and enjoyable match-day experience. The gourmet dining options and curated selection of beverages added a gastronomic dimension to the event, offering exquisite culinary delights that complemented the exhilarating cricket action perfectly. The ambiance within the suite was electrifying, with fellow cricket enthusiasts contributing to a vibrant and spirited atmosphere. State-of-the-art facilities, including high-definition screens and premium sound systems, further augmented the immersive experience, allowing for real-time replays and in-depth analysis of the game's pivotal moments. The official tour of the MCG was really interesting with lots of facts and anecdotes included by the friendly and knowledgeable guide. I was last at the ground in 1996 and it has now been completely transformed, yet still retains its sense of history and tradition. Definitely worth a visit for any cricket and/or Australian rules football fans; plus the walking options from the city centre include strolling through beautiful parks or along the Yarra riverbank.

Good stadium, easy to navigate. Bit disappointed that there wasn't any remotely healthy food options, not even a wrap or sandwich. But otherwise it was good. The seating angle made sure that I could see over the heads of the people in front (I'm short) and the facilities were good

Magical experience with Scott Boland fielding in front of us. The only shame was 80 minutes to finish a test and we got to have lunch in The park.

I am in no way that interested in sport, but kids wanted to go and do the tour. so glad I did, the older gentleman (our guide) was funny, had passion and his knowledge of the history was really engaging. Sometimes in someother tours elsewhere you just get the standard info but no passion. Our guide has worked there as a young fella and his stories made you feel like you were there with him. I recommend going for the tour of the MCG. It is well worth it.

Went to the Boxing Day Test Match against South Africa. The entry was seamless. The staff checking the bags were thorough but quick. We sat on 2nd level Gate 1 N30. The view was good. The only downside is that there is only one bar and one food outlet, so the wait times were long.

Stadium is generally pretty clean and has good signage for directions etc. However they make you Scan In AND out which was a little annoying, and the scanners didn't work either. We had to go up to an attendant each time we wanted to get in or out. The lights and sound system in the stadium are nice to see when a goal is scored, I imagine it would be great to see a musical performance here. Food and drink prices are as you'd expect at any venue like this, high price for average quality. Accessibility from the train is very easy as well

Iconic stadium for a REASON, amazing views of the ground no matter where you sit, a huge venue, crowd control excellent, kids will be safe, very steep steps though, little leg room, no parking just forget it. Public transport only, for miles, I mean it! And bloody freezing in winter. Especially when seated up high, even if there is no wind on the ground level. Don't be fooled, MELB is damn cold. RUG UP! Take those heat packs that you can activate in your pockets, thermal under garments, a thick wind proof jacket, woolen jumper, hat, scarf and gloves in winter. Hot in summer obviously, and can be nasty vicious hot. Prepare!! You will love every second of the MCG and remember it for the rest of your life, Angie

Bring your own water bottle as there's water fountain in the ground. There's also sunscreen in the first aid rooms for day matches.

Ground was in great condition. Easy to get in and find our seats. Facilities were clean and all the drink and food spots nearby were open.

I did the stadium tour here back in 2010 and saw Australia play New Zealand in a 2010 World Cup warm up match then didn’t return for a few years. After a couple of missed opportunities, I finally made it to the first two days of the Boxing Day Test recently and the ground never ceases to amaze me. The food is well priced and the entry process during times of COVID are excellent. My biggest MCG highlight though was back in 2013 when Liverpool played Melbourne Victory in front of 95,000 people. Whilst it was never going to match Anfield for atmosphere, the MCG crowd that night were fantastic. If you have never been, then mark a date in your diary and get along to one of the worlds truly great sporting venues. They play football, AFL, cricket and a few other sports and the venue has also hosted the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

As a passionate Melbourne Demons Supporter the MCG will always feel like home to me so I might be a little biased about the home of football. The venue is great, atmosphere amazing and public transport is nearby or a 20 min walk from city. The foods a bit expensive so if you're taking kids maybe pack your lunch or be prepared to spend $100 on a meal but other than that 👍👍 GO DEES❤💙

It really is a great venue. Easy to go through the entry process and staff always friendly and helpful. Signage is good, which makes it easy to find your way around and to the toilets and then back to your seat.

If I could get a membership. The Melbourne Cricket Ground avails it's magic when you notice. I noticed. Now all I am waiting for is an invite. Seriously though the MCG has history, atmosphere and community. Join in you may even hear the roar.

I went there for India vs Pakistan game in T20 World Cup 2022. And the game was thrilling! Stadium itself is an experience I must say. There are a lot of great statues and cups that you can visit when the game is not on! The food and hospitality is good, but slightly expensive. You must experience a game there once!

Amazing stadium, but you already know that. View from any seat in the house is amazing and unobstructed. Great food options on site with all the stadium favourites. To avoid fighting for a park take the option to park more central in the city and enjoy the walk down the river and over the bridge that leads you right up to the stadium. If you have not been then book some tickets it is an experience of a lifetime!

One of the best sporting venues I've been to. Need more ladies toilets. Very helpful staff. Everything flows. Extra trams laid on. Easy to walk to and from.

Simply the best stadium in Australia and top in the world. Atmosphere here is crazy and the views are amazing. Tours and shops and food are good too. Perfection.

I love how it is designed, every seat has a good view of the field. The location is perfect, it is like 3 mins walking from Jolimont train station. There is a lot of events that can go in MCG, and has the cabinets with kitchen. I think it is always good for everyone to try go there once at least.

It is the largest Cricket Ground in Australia in terms of area. You can take guided tours over here and they will show you the entire stadium inside out. And one the best part is that they have Yarra Park outside the stadium which is well maintained and you will definitely love the vibe of it. Must visit place whenever you're in Australia.
