The vintage Anglican Cathedral of Saint Paul in Melbourne is a remarkable architectural wonder that holds historical and spiritual significance. Built in the late 19th century, the cathedral boasts stunning Gothic Revival style, adorned with intricate stained glass windows, grand arches, and towering spires. Its impressive interior showcases beautiful altars, sculptures, and a majestic pipe organ. The cathedral's serene atmosphere and awe-inspiring design create a serene space for reflection and worship. Undoubtedly, a visit to the vintage Cathedral of Saint Paul in Melbourne is an enriching experience that showcases the city's rich cultural heritage.

Stunning!!! However people are rude, my partner and I were taking a moment and appreciating the beautiful artwork and structural design in the section at the back of the church that says “please be quiet and don’t take photos” when an Asian lady proceeded to sit on my girlfriend after backing into her and almost knocking her over to get a better angle for her photo. Being able to light a candle was a beautiful touch as well. Overall church is beautiful.

Beautiful architecture and a very peaceful atmosphere within the Cathedral. There's a few information boards within, alongside lots of religious texts and artefacts. Very close proximity to the station and an iconic place to visit when in Melbourne.

This is a wonderful place to worship. I enjoy the architecture and the peace it brings. The spinning globe on display for a limited time brought modern to the classic scene was an interesting fusion. As I wrote this review, I sense God is saying the earth is my foot stool, as I recall watching it spin.

The most beautiful and eye catching church in Melbourne's CBD, particularly during the winter season, where it sits amongst the bare trees that is a photographers delight ! Very peaceful inside if you are seeking a safe haven away from the crowds and tourists.

St Paul’s Cathedral is an Anglican Church ⛪️ in the heart of city of Melbourne opposite the iconic Flinders Street station. It was built from 1880 to 1891 and the spires added later in 1926. It’s beautiful inside and worth a look if you are in Melbourne CBD.

Beautiful architecture. On entering, that quiet sense of peace enfolds you and you can't help but feel a little closer to our maker. Well worth the visit. Entry is free, but you may make a donation if you wish. There is also a small gift shop on sites.

St Paul's Cathedral is an absolutely stunning display of historical Catholicism and architectural splendour. The wood, stone, marble and stained-glass all add to the story of this building with mosaic artistry displaying biblical scenes. The care taken to preserve this building is simply a labour of love, so a huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the building is at the standard it is at.

St Paul's Cathedral, opened in Jan.1891 is an Anglican cathedral in Melbourne. It is the cathedral church of the Diocese of Melbourne and the seat of the Archbishop of Melbourne, who is also the metropolitan archbishop of the Province of Victoria. A must-visit when in Melbourne. Great tourist spot.

Located a short walk from Flinders Street station, this cathedral reminded me of the European cathedrals with its grand architecture both outside and inside. It was quite a humbling experience to be inside the church and to admire the design of the place. Deserves a short visit if you're a fan of grand cathedrals. I also love the messages of love they put forth in the church.

Beautiful and historical church in the heart of Melbourne in a busy intersection. When you are in the church, all the noise outside is just silent. Peaceful place of worship or to meditate. Marvel at the beautiful architecture and stain glasses.

We visited the cathedral two times and joined the evening prayer on Friday. It was lovely to listen to the pipe organ and the choir. I and my friend especially enjoyed the gift shop with a lot of catholic accessories and brought back some of them to make necklaces. We are thankful for the staff’s kind assistance.

Calmest place in the middle of the city. One can spend their time praying and meditating in a silent and beautiful space. One could also write down prayers and intentions in a book which has its own dedicated place inside the Cathedral (middle-right hand side passage)

Melbourne landmark buildings, need to spend money in the picture, it seems the church also need to generate revenues, we don't have to spend money on camera. It is a standard of the layout of the church, while there is no European cathedrals so majestic, but also in the southern hemisphere is good. The location of the church is very good, sit trams can arrive directly, opposite the station, graffiti is on the side of the street. It's worth going to Melbourne for the first time.

The place to get married for sure. So central to Melbourne. The many bypassers stopped to view the bride entering the church and clapping as she made her grand entrance. The stretch Maserati and driver supplied by RSV Limousines provided outstanding service.

Impressive Anglican cathedral in the heart of Melbourne. Classic neo Catholic style to it borrows heavily from the Roman tradition down to the doorways. Cut from a nice yellow sandstone by the looks of it, it remains a church in use to today. Just across from the similarly Impressive Flinders Street Station.

It's a wonderful building. I did not take any photos inside so as not to disturb the worshipers. The donation box near the exit was cashless, and it was so interesting that I took a photo of it. A historic association and the latest touch payment. How about that.

The Church was one of the beautiful church I have seen. I have seen one bigger and older in Iran-Isfahan that was really amazing and Mysterious. There is a tile on the right left side of the main door of this Church. This tile is a replica of an eight-pointed star tile, which is found under the rose window over the main door of the Church of St Simon the Zealot in Shiraz and in St Luke's in Isfahan. There is some detailed wooden statues in this church that will be so instructing.

Went to have a look at the Cathedral, very picturesque. I was impressed with everything I looked at. While I was there, there was a Piano Recital as the Lunchtime Concert. It was given by Hannah Shin. What an accomplished Musician and Pianist. I personally enjoyed every minute of this Concert. We don't have Concerts like this or as much as good as this Level of performance. Congratulations Hannah and thank you.

It became obvious why Catholics had built such beautiful cathedrals and churches throughout the world. Not as gathering or meeting places for Christians. But as a home for Jesus Himself in the Blessed Sacrament. Cathedrals house Jesus. Christians merely come and visit Him. The cathedrals and churches architecturally prepare our souls for the beauty of the Eucharist... Perhaps this cathedral is such a great one and reflects the culture

Another amazing church in Melbourne with Gothic Revival style of design. Leave the bustling Flinders Street Station intersection behind, St Paul’s Cathedral is an Anglican church located on the busiest intersection opposite Federation Square. Arrived downtown quite late, so it’s a pity I didn't get to admire the interior of the church. Maybe I’ll schedule next trip to visit again.

Our visit to Saint Paul's Cathedral wasn't planned. As it turns out we're pleased we did. We sat and enjoyed the vastness of the space and spiritual serenity. Praying wasn't on my agenda so I simply slowed down with the meditative calmness and took in the wonderful architecture. A really welcome respite from the rushing City outside. With the high stone walls and solid structure I notice a feeling of security and safety. Churches don't need structures of this nature, they are more about People I thought, however, maybe I'm different now. This place, the building and space within are a real refuge providing a kind of powerful resolve that's not religious.

Best church I have been to yet! Their traditional service is truly amazing! They are not afraid to show images and pictures of Jesus! They send out a newsletter once a week if you subscribe via email, giving detailed information on what's upcoming. They rotate between preachers which is refreshing and the people who attend are super friendly. The church is in a super convenient location, with Flinders St station across the road, and nearby tram stops. Cafes are also located nearby. This church also has visiting hours for tourists and has musicians who play on Wednesdays at 1:00pm weekly. The inside of the church is truly stunning! I definitely recommend thia church!

The atmosphere is warm, and the people are friendly, creating a welcoming environment for visitors. However, my experience was slightly marred by what I perceived as an undue focus on politics and political biases that, in my opinion, detracted from the sacred ambience that one would hope for in a cathedral. In a place dedicated to the teachings of the Lord, I expected a more singular focus. However, if you can overlook the occasional political aspects, this Anglican Cathedral offers a serene space for reflection and worship.
