Ned Kelly was an infamous bushranger and outlaw who had his last siege in Glenrowan when he was captured in 1880 and hanged in Melbourne gaol. This museum provides a great insight into who he was and how he came up against the law and police in Victoria. The homestead at the back is a replica of his home and gives a peak into life in Victoria back then. The Glenrowan town itself has lots of places preserved well still showcasing the story of Ned Kelly. Definitely worth a visit if you around Glenrowan.

In Jan 2022 I paid $12 to enter the museum. $5 would have been more than enough for the 10mins it took us to walk around and not be too impressed. Two cockatoos on site in a cage which seemed all too small for them. Gift shop had a lot of merchandise, but I left empty handed. Lady at the desk was friendly.

Worth a visit. We popped in here on our way back from Beechworth. Others had told us 30 minutes is enough for the museum, however if you haven't been before, don't know much about Ned Kelly, or you enjoy walking around the town, then I'd recommend allowing an hour.

Don't get thrown off by the tacky (no offense)-looking entrance and tourist gift shop. Inside is a museum easily worthy of an installation at a large natural/national history museum like Melbourne Museum or similar. Most impressive was the full scale replica of the Kelly homestead, as well as the cockatoos and cat, which are completely unrelated but still very cute. Friendly and enthusiastic staff, solid collection of random period artifacts as well as relevant documents such as newspaper clippings, wanted posters, well worth the $12 Adult ticket fee. Very homely vibe, the people who work there clearly care about the legend and story behind Ned Kelly and are happy to share it.

If you want to know what really happened to Ned Kelly, his family and mates don't go past this shop. A fascinating dog friendly museum, replica home out at the rear of the property, 2 very old and cheeky sulphur crested cockatoos and a blacksmith (in winter time) Simply amazing details of life in the Ned Kelly era. Owners are wonderful people with a passion for sharing their knowledge. Also a little toy animal hunt for the kids. Shop is full of terrific souvenirs.

Price is reasonable. Little on the small side, although lots of photos and artefacts. The recreated house outside is more interesting. Plus there was a kitty.

Great little place to buy anything and everything Ned Kelly related. If you can't find it here, there's something wrong. They also have a wicked museum to check out. A MUST SEE if you're visiting Glenrowan.

Had a great time in this museum. Filled with fantastic items and information on the Kelly gang, the place really serves to illuminate the story. The replica of the Kelly homestead was really neat too. We drove out to where the home originally was after our visit and seeing the replica really helped envision what it would have been like. The owner of the museum seems very dedicated and knowledgeable and was happy to have a chat about the details of the legend. All in all great experience!

Interesting, learnt alot about Ned Kelly. Would think twice about taking small children. It's very loud and a but scary for little ones.

Great place to visit. I was warmly greeted by one of the owners who gave me a brief run-down on the history of Ned Kelly and the Museum. All of interesting artefacts kept there and plenty of information to learn and understand what happened.

Didn't see the museum but the shop is excellent with many unique, quality souvenirs for the Ned Kelly fan. The customer service here is brilliant. We bought a snow globe (Ned Kelly with guns drawn and gold flakes as snow) which unfortunately got bumped onto the floor and smashed. I called the shop and the lady was super helpful. I was able to purchase another snow globe over the phone and it was in the post that afternoon! I don't usually leave reviews, so congrats for a very happy customer.

Enjoyed our wander around this lovely little Museum with a wealth of information and replicas. The Kelly house out the back is well done and really gives you a feel for how they lived in past days. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Ned Kelly. We also visited Beechworth where he was trialed first and we think we found his unmarked grave site at Greta Cemetary. At $12 pp, this Museum is the most expensive that we have been to. They would make more than enough selling all of the Kelly trinkets and gifts out front in the shop.

😐 Lots of tourist buses, grannies pushing each other out of the way to get a photo. I still do not understand why we celebrate such a criminal. Telling the story of Australian History to educate people is what library's are for having a massive statue of a criminal is celebrating that figure. Imagine...

👍👍 Best show I’ve seen. Well worth every cent. Absolutely loved it. Moving from room to room, scene to scene. Really really good especially if you’re a Ned Kelly fan and are interested in his last stand.
