Great place to be all times of the day especially during summer weekends. Loved the tai chi group and watching seasoned pingpong players minding their game.

I really like this garden, the grass is lush and green and the plant life on display is certainly unique, there is also a multipurpose court for various sport related activities. It's a nice escape from the large urban centre of Box Hill.

Peaceful garden and lots of open space to walk and sit. Huge playground for the children and seems to be new too. Only a few minutes walk from Boxhill Central, so it very easily accessible.

Excellent clean park in the heart of Box Hill. Very clean and perfect for walks and dogs. There is a thin running track built into the path so there is an excellent 1 km loop to do for runners. There is a playground for kids and a public toilet inside as well.

Nice duck pond. Large open areas. Basketball court. 2 flying foxes and playground. Little skate ramp area. Toilet. Dog drinking tap. Lots of birds = peaceful. Clean. If only there were better parking and more for dogs to do like agility and a fenced area (because they have all this space there that is unused). I'm one half of a professional duo that walks dogs in the area and surrounds. For on-leash 1 hour walks, this park is appropriate. - Your Canine Companions

Read the signs dog owners! Disrespectful dog owners everywhere in this park! We witnessed ducks being killed by a dog, the dog owners found it amusing! Disgusting behavior. Where are the council rangers? Only thing this council is good at is raising the rates!

Great park in the middle of Box Hill! This park is a great place to bring kids, there are barbeques, a great playground, seating, shaded areas, toilet facilities and even a basketball court, pond and running track. Our son particularly loves playing on the playground, which is a drastic improvement on the old playground (that itself wasn't actually bad).

It's a beautiful urban park with a scenic duck pond. It's a nice park to go for a stroll or take the kids out to play. There is also a sports complex and a playground for the kids.

It's a really good park/dog park/playground/outdoor sports courts, with bbq area and 2 public toilet areas. It has a pretty big variety of play area for different age groups, and they're clean too (which is very important for me). The tall main slide is crazy good, with different access points. The flying fox is good too, as the starting point is much higher, giving it a good slide. And! 1 of the unique feature here is the mini trampoline! Gosh my kid loves it so much!

Morning or evening this park is great for all ages plus walking the dog. It is clean and well maintained with a dedicated sports area and playground plus small lake with ducks in central Box Hill, would reccomend with the warmer days coming.

I’ve never seen such a beautiful garden, it has several old trees and various Australian plants. It’s very big and has a long trail for walking and jogging

A very peaceful garden with a little pond and cute ducklings. A 1km running track and sport area are some plus. Only some people littered and even tossed their cigarettes at the sport area.

Really nice park used mainly by locals. Extremely limited parking due to its location next to Box Hill Hospital and nearby very busy Box Hill Central. Expanse of green grass, lots of mostly European shade trees and very few natives. There is a pond with ducks and a small bridge across it. A series of paths cross cross the park with numerous benches. The perimeter path also has a strip of rubberised running surface with regular distance markers and is very popular with runners. The Southern edge of the park has a sports area with outdoor ping pong tables, basketball hoops, soccer, cricket, handball etc markings on a large wall, rubberised sprint track etc. This area also has extensive seating and a covered shaded are for protection from the elements. Adjacent to the sports area is an extensive playground with swings, multiple slides, a 3 story adventure building, large spider web climbing frame, 2 flying foxes and various other items for kids to burn off some energy. The park also has a war memorial with several commemorative plaques and sculptures. Lots of shade everywhere and numerous park benches for resting and contemplating.

The newly built playground is amazing. The climbing tower is more suitable for older kids as they're quite high but the lower equipments and soft ground is great for younger ones. It could do with more picnic benches but there's lots of very nice grass area where you can just throw your picnic mats. Be very aware of the lake. Few times this year when I visited, I have seen lots of dead fish either floating on the lake or the path around the lake.

Great place for a walk alone, bbq with friends and family or to go with dogs or kids. Has 2-3 bbq’s, clean public toilets and water fountains. Ducks can be spotted in the lake and many possums and birds all around. Quite peaceful ❀️

Good track around perimeter for jogging/ scootering. Several toilets near the basketball courts, also table tennisx3, tracks for skateboard etc and good playground which includes zip line. Gets busy in peak times. Parking can be a challenge.

Beautiful open space with a playground equipment and a multifunctional tennis/basketball/track and field nearby. Great space for families to have a picnic, play ball or fly a kite.

A lovely park with lots of facilities for basketball & a tennis wall, together with toilets & plenty of seating. I ran repeats of the 1 km loop, which is marked every 50m & is nice & undulating. I did this at night & the park is very well lit.

One of the best parks in the area. It has an undercover space with solar panels on the roof and it adjoins the fantastic play space for all ages. Quiet spots to sit as well as active areas. Dog friendly.

Big wide green grassy park with large gum trees, Oaks and various smaller trees. Toilets, a good kids playground. A 1 kilometer walking and jogging track around perimeter. Close to Box Hill hospital, and not far from shopping centre. Good park to visit.

Boxhill is especially famous for one of the Big Chinese community in Melbourne. So you can have a variety choices for many different Traditional Chinese food. After that you have a chance to ease your belly at the Boxhill garden. They would give you somewhat reasonable choices of running, walking, Basketball even outdoor TableΒ  Tennis. After all those exercise you can relax yourself huge size of grass area under the trees or near the pond. Off you go any time you want!

Box Hill Gardens is a park to go to. It is located in the middle of Box Hill. The shopping centre is only minutes away and some of best cafes are near the corners. I personally like the walking/running track which is easy to track how far you walk/run when you run or walk. But my kids’ favourite is the little pond with lots of ducks! Feeding is not allowed but there are nice benches around and it is just so peaceful to see some local animals. Lots of local people visit Box Hill Gardens(BHG) for BBQ and for play in the playground. The beauty of BHG is the playground as there is a extra space for tennis practice, basketball, pingpong and scooters & bikes! Lots of fun! Box Hill hospital and Epworth hospital are right next to it if that is convenient to anyone. Love going to this park!
