Really
nice
park
used
mainly
by
locals.
Extremely
limited
parking
due
to
its
location
next
to
Box
Hill
Hospital
and
nearby
very
busy
Box
Hill
Central.
Expanse
of
green
grass,
lots
of
mostly
European
shade
trees
and
very
few
natives.
There
is
a
pond
with
ducks
and
a
small
bridge
across
it.
A
series
of
paths
cross
cross
the
park
with
numerous
benches.
The
perimeter
path
also
has
a
strip
of
rubberised
running
surface
with
regular
distance
markers
and
is
very
popular
with
runners.
The
Southern
edge
of
the
park
has
a
sports
area
with
outdoor
ping
pong
tables,
basketball
hoops,
soccer,
cricket,
handball
etc
markings
on
a
large
wall,
rubberised
sprint
track
etc.
This
area
also
has
extensive
seating
and
a
covered
shaded
are
for
protection
from
the
elements.
Adjacent
to
the
sports
area
is
an
extensive
playground
with
swings,
multiple
slides,
a
3
story
adventure
building,
large
spider
web
climbing
frame,
2
flying
foxes
and
various
other
items
for
kids
to
burn
off
some
energy.
The
park
also
has
a
war
memorial
with
several
commemorative
plaques
and
sculptures.
Lots
of
shade
everywhere
and
numerous
park
benches
for
resting
and
contemplating.
