Council has made significant improvements targeting the general community rather than just the Mont Albert Cricket Club. Some of the breaks in the fencing which allowed dogs and kids to escape the oval have been closed with gates. This leaves one adjacent the north edge of the pavilion which the Club won't allow to be gated. A panicked dog can still run out on to the road and there have been several near misses. Council has also installed flipper catches on the gates so they lock when pushed shut but no self closing springs yet. The floodlights in the winter evenings have been very helpful to the evening dog walkers as is the new, fence-enclosed watering point for dogs a d humans, accessible from inside and outside the oval. A great innovation. The renovated basketball/netball courts get a lot of use and two new picnic tables by the courts and well-used playground are popular. So are the new scattered bench seats and the walking/jogging track meandering around the oval.

It takes a black sheep to taint the overall experience at the reserve. Small dogs owners must be aware of the notorious dalmatians who have history of viciously attacking small dogs. It seemed like the owner was just there to watch the show and did nothing to stop the attacks.

This large park has an off lead area for the local happy dogs, fully equipped with bins and other resources for pet owners. The playground is most adventurous and imaginative. Some gorgeous native plants, including flame trees. And there’s even a rose garden.

Cricket and Lacrosse clubs here. Drinking fountains and good quality turf. There is a nice playground for the kids as well. A really nice sporting reserve. It's also fenced which is great.

Really good. Even on a public holiday there were dogs there and there are seperate batting cages and gardens around the fenced oval. Drinking stations for people and dogs too. Aimee - YourCanineCompanion (profesional dog walking duo)

Very nice oval- dog off lead area is heavily used. Toilets at club rooms are not accessible to public. Cricket and lacrosse are played here. Good playground nearby- recently updated. Walking track around park perimeter and views out to the east, one of the highest points in the area.

Home to a Lacrosse and Cricket clubs. A good, safe and almost totally enclosed off lead dog park. Basketball court and children's playground. Always well patronised. A great place to meet some friendly people.

A beautiful new dog park for people in Box Hill North. The only downside I would say is the open area at the main side of the park so cannot leave the dogs unattended but 3/4th of the park is fenced and well maintained with water station.

Our dog insists that we can leave him there, come back in about a week to pick him up -- He loves it there! It's an off-leash park and it's huge! There is a playground and a basketball court outside the fenced area. Restrooms, i think there is inside the clubhouse, but I'm not sure.

It's not a bad park for off leash dog walking or shooting hoops. the crowd is a bit mixed, some really nice people, and an equal number of rude people, unfortunately.

So a shout out to the greens keep(s) for their outstanding oval. So enjoyable to walk on such impressive grass. Well done.
