On September 23, 2023, I went to the mall to buy groceries for a barbecue. It's simple to get to, and there is an excellent selection of goods and services in the mall.

This shopping mall has its ups and downs. On the positive side, it's nice and quiet, which can be a refreshing change from the usual bustling malls. However, it can sometimes be *too* quiet, which can give it a somewhat empty feeling. The food court is quite average, and the dining options didn't particularly stand out. It's a good place if you're in a hurry and just need to grab something quickly, but don't expect a wide variety of gourmet choices. In summary, this mall is a convenient spot if you're in a rush and need to pick up something specific. However, if you're looking for a more lively or gourmet shopping and dining experience, you might want to explore other options.

Great mall to get essential stuff from but still thinks this mall can be improved for better variety of food choices. Food court is very average and probably not as exciting as other malls. Also adding a chemist warehouse in here will be great to get better pricing off essential items off the pharmacy. Still think Doncaster East can get more exciting with this neighbourhood mall getting abit better

The Pines has everything I need without having to go to another centre. The parking is good (plenty of spaces) and it has plenty of buses servicing it.

I remember witnessing this shopping centre opened back in the eighties. Their underground car park was really helpful however that centre was a little small. I then witnessed their expansion after the turn of the millennium and it became the shopping centre it is now. I haven't been there fore a while until recently as it is out of my way however it is still a nice and quaint local shopping centre but I feel sorry for the small businesses there being ripped off by management as I have notices a number of closed shops and replaced businesses. Maybe that was the fallout from COVID-19 but they are my observations.

Nice and clean shopping center with plenty of parking spaces. Also there is a bus stop right in front of the shopping center. Very convenient location. In side they got plenty of walking space too, so it’s quite comfy to shop here.

Dated, but has a lot to offer: Woolies, Coles, deli and fresh meats, specialty shops and bakery/cafes. Lots of parking, and public transport connections.

Nice clean place with Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, Kmart and other shops. Domenico the Poulterer near Coles is xlnt as is the Butcher Club. Eating areas and cafes. Flower stall near the main entrance. Plenty of parking. Busses stop here. Has just about everything you need. Visit it.

Underground carpark needs to be opened at 8 am. as it reads on sign. Numerous times, I had to wait, and one time I got out of my car to open the gate, as it was after 8.

Pines Shopping Centre is renovating slowly ( still trading as usual). The good things is parking is no time limit and ample parking spaces. Almost all the necessity facilities are here. E.g all 4 big banks, post office. I found the things here are slightly cheaper. E.g. florists has excellent flowers and cheaper in prices. The Vietnamese Pho ("3 Stripes") is authentic, fresh, yummy and excellent service. Donut king has senior mug size coffee with 2 free hot donut for $5. It will be a 5 stars shopping centre after the renovations.

Numerous eateries provide high-quality coffee and a diverse menu. The shopping center maintains cleanliness with vigilant staff. Special thanks to Tharranga and Ruwa, who went above and beyond to help us when my kids left something sentimental behind. We're immensely grateful.

Handy medium size shopping centre conveniently located. All undercover and on one level. Good variety of shops including Coles and K Mart. A few places to grab a bite to eat as well as some market stall type of places. Lots of parking. A good deal of buses also stop here.

This centre is becoming more of an Oriental Asian place. I noticed over time that the new shops opening up are either owned and run by Oriental Asians (mostly Chinese, Korean, etc) and on the rare occasion an Indian from India and mind you, I find them rude and prejudice (I am Brown skinned with an Indian background), they probably treat White people better due to their favour of light skin. The other thing is those shops owned by the 2 groups mentioned usually employ people from their own race which is nothing new because as someone who is an Australian Citizen with an Indian background and from another Western country (not considered Indian by Indians from India), I find that many jobs here in Australia are being taken by the 2 groups mentioned. I only come here for the supermarkets, salon, kmart and optometrist.

The cleaning of this centre has gone downhill. The toilets are really unpleasant. Carpark is littered with trolleys even in the mornings, not cleaned up from the day before.

  • 5/5 Kevin L. 1 year ago on Google
You will find no better shopping centre than this one for the elderly! Toilet closely nearby, Kmart & Aldi! Plenty of disable and senior parking. All restaurants are happy to bring your food to your table (even if you dine in food court!)

It’s 325 pm on a Saturday trying to ring the main phone 📞 number of the pines 9842 9000 !! Have tried 10 times to ring & it just rings out ? The shopping centre is open until 5 pm today . So what if I was trying to ring for an emergency ? Or a major flood or power outage or even something going on in the centre? Is it just bad luck ? Great centre management.

** corrected copy. A few weeks ago i met friends for lunch and my coffee order was lost but my pie wasn’t. I waited and waited meanwhile my friends received theirs. I went to the counter and inquired abt my coffee order. They told me it wasn’t process and that the girl serving me was new. I said ok and paid and sat down. I waited again, watching other orders being made and served including takeaway coffees. I wasn’t impressed. My friend opened her party pie to find it dry, very dark and noticeably old. I took it and showed the person who was actively the barista and serving too. I never raised my voice nor swore nor showed any aggression as Iv worked in retail and I know how to express my concerns and arguments. Eventually my coffee arrived and the young staff member who delivered it then proceeded to say to me… I hope you’re happy as you BULLIED our barrister and she’s crying. I was shocked and disgusted at that accusation and told him, first, I never bullied anyone, second, to mind his own business and thirdly, how dare he speak to a customer (regular) like that. I was extremely disappointed and so were my friends. Service has gone down hill and staff attitude has gone up. a corrected copy.

3 supermarkets, clothing and shoe shops....quite enough variety but not high end. Undercover car parking if you're lucky but plenty of parking overall and Seniors well catered for. Very good jewelry shop near florist, a dentist and a couple of optical places along with the 3 major telecommunications shops A very satisfactory experience.

A visit to my local Commonwealth bank branch. Big THANK YOU to the brilliant and patiently helpful bank tellers for assisting with account security enquiries. (whereby my postal address had been rolled back to PO box of 10 years earlier). I have a stalker! #3081.

Our frequent go to for our weekly groceries run. ALDI, Coles and Woolies under the roof and couple with a pretty good size Asian grocerer. You are pretty much covered with everything that you may need here.

Really neat, compact little mall. Has a bit of everything, but it's never crowded or uncomfortable, with great parking too. The food court barely qualifies, only 7-8 places, but there are several others spread out elsewhere. Staff seem friendly everywhere, definitely worth checking out

Excellent place for your neighbourhood shopping Good variety of groceries shop, you got Coles, Woolworths, ALDI and Asian Grocery which is seriously well stocked with whatever almost anything "Asian" you need including some "basic" Chinese medicine. Kmart. Everything "basic" essentials is there And a library lol and best of the main Banks are there! If you need Branch. And a bus station I think. It's like a mini Chadstone without the luxury stores.

Friendly and comfy medical centre. Receptionist, nurses, and doctors with great professional attitude. Just got my 1st jab with Practice Nurse Fiona. Done in a flash, did not feel a thing and I am the type that scared of needle . . So she kindly offered me the option to lie down instead. Definitely 10 out of 10 made, what is supposed to be a terrifying experience, to be the least terrifying for me. Thank you for the professional care . .

A smaller, simple and friendly little plaza with all your regular necessities with a great Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets, a Kmart, pharmacies, post office and great sushi, bakery cafe, Asian supermarket and other smaller clothes & shoe stores. A good plaza for those with mobility issues being all one level and spacious, with easy access to the toilets, and perfect for those with sensory disorders who find plazas overwhelming. Kmart also has Quiet time Wednesdays for people with sensory sensitivities or prefer a quieter calmer shop. Bus stop & car park are wheelchair accessible & on the same level. There is also a library & learning centre next door to the plaza. Vegan/dairy allergy options for food include two sushi roll options & a veggie sausage roll & lemon or mini biscoff cupcake at the Ferguson Plarre bakery cafe. Children's playground is next to Aldi.

First time visiting this shopping centre and it had everything I needed , from ALDI, to a little deli that sliced my ham fresh, bakery, and the food court was also great, and it had a chicken butcher and also 2 meat butchers, has Kmart florist, clothing stores and heaps more love it

I have been going here since I’ve been 10. I’m now 20 and I have loved every time I’ve been here. It may be smaller than some other shopping centers but the business’s here have stayed at this shopping center longer than I’ve been here. My favourite shopping center and couldn’t be happier this place is still going for so many years ❤️

A rather small shopping centre, yet enough to fulfil all the essential needs. There are banks, clinics, pharmacies, supermarkets, butchers, food courts and a variety of shops. Their car parks always have plenty of spaces and there's about 10 different bus lines that take you to different places.

  • 5/5 Ross J. 1 year ago on Google

  • 4/5 Sandi S. 1 year ago on Google
Great shopping complex, needs to expand with all new occupiers now moved in the area (apartments through out The Cherry Hill Estate 1000+) more seated waiting on dining restaurants (e.g. Groovetrain) inside the complex - more variety italian, Malaysian, dumplings, pancake etc with liquor licence but inside complex not out on street outside. More stores to compete with Doncaster and Eastland shopping centre's JB's, Harvey Norman etc. Can extend upwards. 🤔👍❤ go for it.

  • 4/5 Robin H. 1 year ago on Google
Still a relatively easy place to park compared with Bulleen Plaza or Shopping town, but large rent increases have forced several stores to close.
