I remember when Bourke Street mall still had cars going through it! But yes much better closed off now. Great access to so many iconic destinations but watch out for the trams. Please give to the homeless people and reward the buskers. You haven't done Melbourne if you haven't been to Bourke Street Mall.

Something has been lost over the years. Either it's my inflated expectations, or the mall has lost its uniqueness. There's good seating; clothes shopping; bollards to stop crazed drivers driving over people on the footpath; and plenty of people. There's just nothing that shouts "Come here - don't go elsewhere!" Actually, the historic buildings are amazing. I guess covid has forced a lot of places out of business. The signs of homelessness and begging have increased, which is a sad, tell-tale sign of the economy. A busker played some beautiful and haunting music on pan pipes. I walked through the mall and didn't feel like stopping to buy anything.

Broke street mall is vibrant, busy bustling site. A good mix of shops and new and old buildings. Trams go through the mall in steady procession. Also emergency vehicles use the team lanes to take short cuts through the city. There was an excellent busker named Cam Nicholson who performed an amazing show with his violin and acustica music accompanying him. A great entertainer

Just walking about here, you get a sense of charm and allure in the air ✨❀️ All across Bourke Street is lined with shops ranging from boutique to moderate prices πŸ‘πŸ» more eateries and services along Elizabeth, Swanston and Collins Street. Makes for a great unwind from work ☘️

Boxing Day Sales, and the crowds decended, by foot, by tram, in their search fpr bargains. It all seemed very manageable and the trams were regular. The day : heavy cloud/ no rain. A great shopping day.

It's always a great time walking the mall. So many shops to choose from. There were sales on, just look around for them. Always go shopping here while in Melbourne, it's such a lot to see and do.

Bourke Street Mall is quiet as I was there after 7pm and about to shut the late night shopping. Overall still good location to go shopping and sightseeing. BSM just need more interesting stuff to do than just a shopping.

I visit to attend Myer and of Kmart. The Bourke Street Mall bright, busy, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Musicians enhance the space. It can get over crowded at Christmas. This information is as Sat 27 Jan 2024.

Seemed much quieter than years past. So much building going on. Surprised to see one of the David Jones store gone!

😠 Wow, what a disappointment! We received this as a gift six months ago and we’re very excited. We have had a few pieces from Robert Gordon in the past and have been very impressed. This platter has stained irreversibly from multiple contacts with food and fruit. It has now been relegated to a storage...

😠 Was shown nothing but a very dismissive and rude attitude from the Asian sales person on the day. Nobody, but a woman on her phone, she called another customer. If I am going to spend money in a shop, and need assistance like most people, but it was like over there, in other words, can't be both...
