We had a great time there today. So many excellent deals and bargains. We were very impressed. It is such a short walk from the Sebel hotel we were staying in. Lots of places to eat at. It is a huge place, so I suggest staying there the entire day to see everything. The complex opens at 10am. I truly recommend trying this place you won't regret it.

South Wharf DFO is a great place to shop if you are on the lookout for a bargain. They have a wide range of shops for all price range. The DFO is a short walk from Melbourne CBD. You can also take tram 70/75 to stop D5 and walk across the bridge to the DFO.

DFO South Wharf Visited on 11/7/2023 I am a bit confused whether the whole complex is DFO South Wharf or the Home Maker is an part of DFO. There is a big sign above the front entrance that reads DFO South Wharf Home Maker. I find the name DFO can be quite misleading, because the acronym stands Direct Factory Outlet. It is supposed to be retailer stores under one building selling excess and previos season stocks at reduced prices, but I find many products are just as expensive as their normal stores under the same businesses. Some uninitiated may think that they are helping the Austra,Ian economy by buying products from Australian factories, but in fact they are sourced from some overseas suppliers. No matter how cheap or how much the stocks are reduced in price, the rental of floor spare in this very modern building instead a barn-like warehouse must be phenomenal, and therefore much of the expenses go the the mega shopping centre. DFO South Wharf Home Maker occupies 3 floor. It is high ceiling, modern, comfortable, and full of clothing, shoes, outlets. The basement also housed a food court, selling mainly Asian food, while the first floor is the so-called Home Maker. There comfortable seating on the Home Maker floor for visitors to take a break, a kid's play house on the same floor. My visit is on a weekday after lunch. Besides the court which is not packed, none of the other stores have any foot traffic. It is rather sad to see lonely staff standing at the counter doing nothing. If one likes to shop in peace, go during after lunch time on weekday. I can only comment how I experience and nothing more.

Located in the Melbourne CBD and next to the Docklands, DFO South Wharf is THE place to find over 180 leading Australian and International brands at heavily discounted prices. Plenty of parking and a short 10min stroll from Southern Cross station, DFO is a one stop place to get your fashion fix. Enjoy a coffee or some food while you shop for massive bargains.

DFO near mel cbd. Good places for shopping with many different stores/brands & good sales. Have ground floor and basement. Food court is located in basement level. Having paid parking within DFO. Otherwise, if you go on weekend, you can park free in nearby road/side streets.

Although not the largest, DFO at South Wharf is conveniently located within city and is very accessible for tourists as it’s within walking distance from Crown Casino and all the hotels along the Yarra River, CBD and Docklands. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

As we were residing at Pan Pacific, exactly opposite to DFO south wharf, visited this outlet mall.... Vast variety of brands under one roof and a good dood court and much options to choose from. . Since my stay was limited to a day, sadly i couldn't explore much and so wished to visit it again..... . A recommended place to visit for some great deals & offers.

Took a boat ride from Southbank down to the docklands. Return trip for an hour for $20. Beautiful sunny day. Was lovely, went underneath 5 bridges and captain spoke about the various buildings and attractions. Lived in Melbourne for many years and had never done this before. Really enjoyed this. You can also go up river if you want. Also so you can hire yoyr own small boat called go boats and do it yourself.

Enjoyed the Nike shop, Lindt chocolates & all the Louisa earrings to name just few of an endless array. Can easily spend a day here so many shops ..

The best DFO I've been to in Melbourne so far. Accessible, close to tourist spots and a great place to shop. Within DFO they have the 2nd largest Nike Outlet store, a must visit for shoppers and tourists.

Busy store with broad range of stores from fashion , sports, shoes and entry level luxury goods. The food court is average and parking can be validated when you purchase in store . Most stores have stock for common sizes and service is friendly despite the crowd there is also a homemaker section on the top floor where you get jb Gifu at standard prices

Going to concert at Marvel but had time for husband to get coffee at food court in the DFO. Such a great location up the escalator from Southern Cross platforms and so many food choices. Donuts, Mexican, Sushi, Dumplings, Schnitzel, ice-cream, pizza, chips, etc and several coffee places. So worth visiting for that quick meal or snack. Actually was packed 6.30pm Tuesday.

Great place, lots of stores and since the stores are outlets, they are cheaper than the ones in shopping centres. Everything’s great except the parking is a little pricey so make sure you get a parking discount card from any shop when you buy anything!

Favourite place when in Melbourne. Always my first stop. Great selection of shops and good prices. Service was good except for one shop. Sass and bide. The assistant didn't even look up and didn't acknowledge the 5 people in store. Shame I loved a dress but won't buy from a shop with bad service.

What an amazing place! So large, you can get kind of lost there, but there are directories showing you where to go for your favourite shops. This is a real retail DFO with bargains in almost all shops, you will really shop til you drop! You can shop for hours there, or even the whole day if you have the time. There is also a good food court there with a good variety of food and beverage options. There is ample car parking, but if you have access to transport, it is recommended to take the tram and get off at the casino and exhibition building/convention centre tram stop and walk to South Wharf, which is a nice walk.

Went to Melbourne for a few days and visited DSO South Wharf twice. Best service we got was at Guess. The staff went and beyond for us. Came up to us, asked what we were after, went out the back and got more stock. They got a couple of sales out of us. Asked for directions to lindt chocolate and the girls were happy to get correct directions. Compared to other outlets we went to, this was by far the best customer service we received. And they were busy.

A good place to shop for famous brand clothing and foot wear. As you need time to find suitable stuff among heaps of stuff from previous years it's not a place to come and do shopping in a hurry. We try & visit whenever we get to Melbourne & end up leaving with more clothing & footwear than we had planned on. There are always great bargains to be had. This trip we found exceptional bargains for Vans, Converse & at Cotton On. I personally consistently postpone buying clothes due to not being much of a clothes shopper to say the least, however I ended up buying a whole suit ensemble at Conner; which was a pleasurable experience too.

It was our first Boxing Day, and my hubby's friends were discouraging him coz it'll be too crowded during holidays, but despite how tiresome it was going to and fro the shops and the long lines, it was still much more organized and less crowded than what we've seen online. This place is a shopper's paradise with amazing deals on items for family and friends. The quality is good and the variety is huge. The only downside is the parking fee and the congestion at the exit. It can be frustrating to get out of there. But it's worth it for the savings and the fun. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys shopping.

As an Outlet store, it’s ridiculous and hilarious that parking is not free for customers, even fare is incredible experience. Only 50% off of the parking fee if you purchase goods from any store in the mall.

Great variety and bargains for all types of shopping. Catered more towards middle class + income earners and tourists based on available stores. Location is convenient in terms of distance from CBD, but no direct public transport that would make carrying bags from shops to home easy if you wanted to really shop. Parking can be ridiculously high, especially without the "50% off discount from any store purchase deal", so pre-booking is still the best deal if you want to drive in. As a guide, pre book $18 daily rate, or 3+ hours drive in is $56 or $28 with the 50% off store voucher discount applied. Food options at the food court have vastly improved over the years, but there's also plenty of riverside restaurants nearby if you prefer a less casual dining option.
