The Hive Shopping Center is located at 313 Victoria Parade, Abbotsford, Victoria, Australia. It is easily accessible by car, bus, and train. The closest train station is Collingwood Station, which is a 10-minute walk from the shopping center. There are also several bus stops nearby, making it easy to reach by public transportation. The shopping center has a variety of shops, including fashion stores, supermarkets, and specialty stores. Some of the popular stores include Coles, Aldi, Chemist Warehouse, BWS, and Kmart. There are also several cafes and restaurants, including a sushi bar, a pizza place, and a bakery. The prices at The Hive Shopping Center are relatively affordable, and there are options for every budget. The supermarkets offer a wide range of groceries at competitive prices, and the specialty stores offer unique and high-quality products at reasonable prices. The interior of the shopping center is modern and spacious, with plenty of natural light and comfortable seating areas. The center is also kept clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to shop and spend time. The Hive Shopping Center offers a good variety of shops, food options, and amenities, and is a convenient and affordable shopping destination in Abbotsford.

Truly terrible experience. I was accused of shoplifting and physically accosted by a security guard! I’ve never experienced something so confrontational. As far as I can tell this was because I had a skull logo on my tee shirt as I had done nothing suspicious and am otherwise a pretty boring middle class white lady. Shockingly bad and potentially illegal behaviour. Not to mention this guy didn’t even have a mask on and was breathing all over me. Despite being a convenient location I’ll never be going back here. They obviously have some difficult clientele but that’s even more reason to avoid this place at all costs.

It different now. No more Asian store was upstairs. There's a fruit market. there's salons downstairs and bakery Woolworth and Aldi. There's car park underground. It is a small centre. Toilets upstairs. 🚻 Surroundings of this small Hive shopping centre are restaurants and supermarkets across the road. It is a busy area, traffic terrible 😑 trams 🚊 always full and crossing light another terrible problem around here. overcrowded area with homeless people lying on the floor begging for a dollar note for food just outside the shopping centre. The area looks dirty with drunken people walking around and some shouting on the road• "Wish Richmond is much more cleaner•

Small selection of shops here, but they have two supermarkets and it's very easy to access by tram, doesn't get very busy I found.

Very strange organisation. Double rows and disingenuous stock placement. Good for exercise though,as you run to avoid some dodgy locals

Hive Shopping Centre offers a unique shopping venture. Trendy boutiques, local artisans, and creative displays. Limited parking availability at times. Lively atmosphere with a focus on individuality. A must-visit for those seeking distinctive finds and supporting local businesses.

It may be convenient and easily accessible but I must say that the riff raff that hang around makes it a bad experience, I find myself using Coles at Richmond Traders more to avoid this. Don’t get me started on the racist security guard they have there. He is more interested in annoying and following innocent people than stopping the homeless drug users stealing and hanging around in the toilets. Outside is filthy

I love this cute little shopping centre and having doctors other is a bonus however I don't love the shady people who visit and those who yell and make a scene. I have a disability and often find myself hiding in aldi or the chemist. Perhaps security on the door downstairs would help.

Easy to get to shopping centre that has a lot of parking (the first hour free and $4 after that). It has a good variety for a small centre and Fruit Hustle always has the best cheap vegetables.

Overall has everything you need in one place - Woolies, Aldi and Chemist Warehouse. Unfortunately though I have stopped coming here as I feel unsafe and there is always a crime of sorts being committed.

Shocking state of the toilets Bottle shop right in front of the Aldi. Public housing residents are wasting their money on alcohol. The bottle shop should be removed.

A small local shopping centre. What else is there to say. Umm, its clean, has a couple of supermarkets in there with a bread shop and a quite good Japanese sushi take away. I mainly go to this shopping centre for the Japanese sushi rolls and bento box.

I'm giving this place 5 stars just because the security guard is the nicest person in the world. I got myself completely flustered over the parking machine and he appeared like a guardian angel and fixed everything.

Great place to shop. Large Supermarket on the 1st floor. Chemist Warehouse on the ground floor. Asian green grocer on the ground floor. LIQUOR shop on the ground floor too. Plus many more shops!

North Richmond and the Hive is only place where there's an Aldi surrounded by Asian grocery stores all within walking distance. Do both Western and Eastern grocery shopping in one go. Can't go wrong.

Great little place, but the cleaners need more work to detail. Also seeing a half naked man ,yelling and screaming isn't a good or safe look. Maybe improve security

Good selection of stores, close to Victoria street and easy access to the trams. Bakery, Coffee and Aldi good choice.

Great store that's got a broader variety of products, and designed Excellently that avoids congested aisles. Awesome, friendly, and helpful staff. Was impressed as a first-timer there. Thanks for a pleasant experience.

Free parking with the Aldi or Woolworths receipt. Easy place for a quick shopping

It so so at best, not brilliant and nothing fantastic either...It has the mainstream stores that you'd expect for these second in the shopping complex's. I suspect that the security there have more off their hands full since a Services Australia recently opened a new office via the top floor, this cause a rift with the various multicultural communities mixed with the dero/hobo rift raft etc. You could have a guy high off his head come out of a Services Australia office go straight into Woolies supermarket complex to nick something vice versa?! But credit to the security in trying to deal with it all where credit is due. Go to Victoria Gardens which is further up the road via a tram ride for a better experience here (just).

Nice, small shopping centre with a Woolworths, Aldi, Commonwealth Bank, Bon Bons Bakery, Services Australia, hair salon, bottle shop, tobacconist, and fresh fruit market. I'm sorry if I missed any stores.

A great shopping centre in a handy location with all the stores you need and then some. Modern roomy feel, plenty of good amenities. Makes for a pleasant shopping experience!

At the wrong end of Richmond and featuring a lot of security guards. But the supermarkets are good and well maintained. Parking is convenient and free for the short time that you'd need to be here.

The security makes you feel safe. The store is Clean no clutter and friendly helpfull staff especially to all the guys at self service side. I walk with a walking stick so it's not easy for me carrying the basket all the time so I just leave it near the self service till I'm ready. It never disappears! Love going there for my top ups. Fresh produce on fruit and veg side . The bakery side goes very quick. Wish they had more freshly baked goodies though. Overall very good.

I would have given this place 4-5 stars, as I regularly shop at Aldi and Woolworths upstairs and never had any issue. I also like the fruit and vegetables shop and the massage place on the ground floor. But today I had one of the worse experience of my life when I visited the toilets... Omg. Words cannot describe what I felt when I walked in that place. I walked out without using the toilet, and I still can't get over what I have seen... Disgusting!

A small shop but have everything, it can be better if the parking time can be 2hour free so that I could enjoy massage there comfortably

Nice place but visitors must respect it. Hats off to cleaner. I feel sorry for them. They are doing the toughest job. King has resigned, so the intel too. El you really looked after this place like your home. The only backup for Intel, max 30 sec away. Services Australia, they ignition. Centre of the trouble. Please give the people due respect, even after 8 year patron is still barred. It's quite excessive. Everyone need a second chance. Please help the people who need the most. Your concerns are right too. Don't forget there is a fine line between right and excessive.

Love "The Hive". Great for food shopping. Plenty of variety and love the large Aldi. When you are finished you can get a nice drink from the coffee shop in the centre.

I popped into The Hive (Dive) after a visit to Minh Phat. I like the vegetable shop and centre has a useful range of shops. What I didn't like was the free one hour parking limit, and creepy feelings and anti social-ness I witnessed during my visit. I wasn't there very long as I felt very unsafe. Ladies, I don't recommend you go there by yourself but if you do, be really vigilant with the security of your bag/ possessions.

ALDI, Woolies, a coffee shop and a decent green grocer make this place a must for the weekly shop. If you don't stay past the free parking period, you can even afford to take a coffee break before heading home.

  • 4/5 Norman C. 1 year ago on Google
First time there, and really only went to Woolies, so can't say too much. ALDI as well, medical centre, barber, food outlets, and everyone's favourite, Services Australia (the old Centrelink). Secure parking off Victoria St.
