Some bargains to be had, but know your prices before you go. Plenty food courts and toilets throughout. EDIT: Still good. Easy to get to.

Amazing, really good deals. I do have one judgment tho, they lock you in at 6pm everyday and make you walk up the other end, but if this happens, walk half way to Lindt, across from there you’ll see elevators, they’re paused but go down them anyway & press the green exit button to get out. Thank me later.

We visited this place and found a lot of shops with good prices. There are shops selling apparel, household goods, cosmetics, footwear and more. There is also a food court and cafes here. The Coles here is a pretty large outlet.

Last minute shopping centre for those who wait for skybus airport transfer. This outlet is just located on the first floor above skybus terminal. Besides shops, the food court is selling different kinds of food. Western, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, fast food, etc. We tookaway vegetarian noodle from genki sushi at AUD9. Ok to eat. 2 stars

Still surprised at the number of people who still refer to this as a Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) - this stopped being one more than a decade ago. The closest DFO is South Wharf. Having said that, it's still a good place to find good products and good bargains, just don't expect DFO prices. Public toilets available. Food court not the best but better than nothing. Accessible.

Nice selection of stores, but the prices were on par with the retail stores back in Tasmania. Was nice to walk around and have a look, but the value of the "factory outlets" seems to be a thing of the past in the era of eBay and online shopping. I struggled to find a single thing I'd call a bargain. The centre was clean and well presented though.

Pretty small, so limited options and typically highly trafficked due to the location. Most of the space is taken up by a few huge stores, but they don't offer much in the way of shopping, e.g. Harris Scarf and TK Maxx are similar and cotton on is the other large store. Food options are average because due to the high foot traffic they don't need to be better and you can't blame them. Multiple toilets on site which is always appreciated especially when located in/adjacent a main train station. I particularly enjoy the smaller hidden away food nooks mostly on the Spencer St side from the degani spot up to Harris scarf and another Cafe in the middle of that end of the precinct. They're a little quiter and add a little atmosphere.

What an interesting outlet centre. It’s not big, so you really can’t get lost in there. With two aisles of retail shops on each side, and with marked down prices, you can find really good brands there for a great bargain, like Bonds, etc. You can find items from household, to bedroom, to clothing - sports, casual, semi formal and formal wear, and footwear and travel accessories, you can find most of what you are looking for. If you want a break from shopping, you can explore some cafes or some takeaway food in the food court just as you enter the centre from Southern Cross train station.

Once you get this Melbourne Local Guide Magazine in the public library, cafe, restaurant or hotel display books in the public area. You just grab this magazine booklet and then turn the last page which you will see at the end of the page cover about Free Shopping Tote. You can definitely get a free gift bag in the Spencer Outlet Mall of the Centre Management office before the end of 30 November 2023 !!! You will also receive chocolate gifts too ! Anyone welcome for visitor or tourist 😁

A great place with so many places to shop and heaps of places to sit down and eat or just to grab a coffee and relax. Didn't have time to check out every place, but went to quite a few. It was located straight across the road from where I was staying. Will be going there again, the next time I'm in Melbourne.

This outlet center seems a bit smaller than the other one around, being only on the top floor of the building. Plenty of shopping and food options. What's very convenient is that it is connected to the Southern Cross station so it is easy to stop by if you happen to be in the station. You do need to get to the top area of the station though.

Horrible Nachos Ever!! 👎 Tried twice. Both times Nachos were not fresh. Grilled onions were bitter🥴(think it was burnt). It was more like gloopy lumps of avacado and sour cream thrown on nachos🤢 Not atall tempted to eyes to eat When we asked for the refund, we were told by the owner, that "If you didn't like it, it's not my fault, so I will not refund."😡

Nice and easy to reach. Not top since I find some shops too messy, more as a market than a shopping center. Good and nice places where you can order coffee snack or a full meal. Next to Cole's and station. 20 mins walking distance from fed square

Stores are okay. Just another outlet mall. Advertising that you can get 50% off parking, but no one is attending the desk. Sign tells me to go directly to the centre management centre. Walk all the way down there to advise me that they are not open on weekends. If you offer something to your customers, make sure you honour it. Especially when you advertise it in all the stores.

Good Shopping Place With over 100 specialty stores, you’re sure to find a bargain at Spencer Outlet Centre. Discover your favourite brands, quality eateries as well as the City’s only TK Maxx, Harris Scarfe and Cotton On MEGA stores. Plus, for your convenience, there’s Coles and Chemist Warehouse.

Always enjoy shopping 🛍️ at this place. So many retail outlets, general+ speciality+ medical+ kids + food mall all at once place. Small in size and super convenient. No need to walk long distance and go mad like DFOs. Most of the retail brands are available including TK Max, Harris Scarfe, Cotton ON, Skechers and many many more. Very conveniently located at Southern Cross Train Station, with access to Trains 🚂 Vline Metro, Tran and Bus 🚌, right in the heart of City. Pro Tip: Use the Wilson Car Park at Southern Cross if coming to this shopping 🛒🛍️ Center by Car, and use Coles shopping voucher to get Discounted parking 🅿️ price.

Love this place. Homing best places to grab a lunch dish during office rush hours. This mall houses TkMaxx which is an unavoidable place if you get an invitation for a house warming party of a birthday one. Harris scarfe is best to have your home stuffs. Also a lot of garments store where round the year sale is on. Again, loved this place. Only bad thing is it gets closed very early.

The joy of running up the stairs when you are in a hurry to get out of the sun on a very hot day as you have forgotten to carry sunscreen with you, then, YES, this is the right place to spend your money wisely on Yourself and your loved ones. A whole day can be spent here with A great choice of your favourite brands so you can walk around in circles ( clockwise / anti-clockwise ) with a great selection of Healthy fast food and the spotless clean Toilet Facilities. The place to be, as you don't want to miss your prebooked flight/train/bus which is where you find Southern Cross Station ( one of my favourite stops ) ❣️❌⭕❌

Lots of shops and outlet stores. Due to the stores being outlets there is less of a choice of sizes and styles. The centre itself feels a bit dated and forgotten. That said there's a good range of stores, it's clean, accessible and has wide open plan walkways.

Very convenient if coming off rail transport at Southern Cross. Lots of specialty shops closed in these times of Covid Iso. Usual stuff - wide well lit avenues, food hall, again, restricted by Iso been here during busier periods and it works well. Factory outlets and seconds stores, but shop carefully for what you want- there are bargains, and there are shoddy goods- shop well, and search for what you want. Price is not always your guide.

Harris scarf my very best favourite retailer! Why they had to close in Albury is beyond me. Now once a year I can in person shop as I like to explore what Harris scarf has. See you next year or if you open a store in Albury!

I love the outlet centre located on the too of Spencer station (southern cross.) At the moment it appears only chemist warehouse is open but Harris scared, typo and Smiggle are all click and collect or posting stuff out. Can't wait till Melbourne's is ungrounded by daddy Dan and we can open up some. Spencer outlet has lots to offer, very handy to trams trains etc, food, shopping and handy and walking distance to the rest of the city

Much better than South Wharf. We live closer to the cavernous rabbit warren of South Wharf DFO but opt to walk the extra distance to a less crowded better shopping experience. Of course due to the smaller area they don't have all that is on offer at South Wharf. But still great shopping!

  • 5/5 Mark E. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to catch the train, and then get off and do some shopping at a great variety of shops. Some good choice for a good feed as well. Some great lunch specials. Give it a go, I'm sure you will enjoy!!

  • 4/5 Geoff A. 2 years ago on Google
Quiet, particularly on a Sunday when some outlets don't open. A number of vacant tenancies and a few closed due to covid related staffing absences. Food halls were quiet, again with some closed tenancies. Those stores open certainly provided unrushed friendly service.

  • 3/5 Tim M. 2 years ago on Google
This is a discount shopping outlet along the lines of DFO, but smaller. It's above the Spencer St bus station and car parking, adjacent to Southern Cross station, accessible by stairs, escalator and lift. Not sure what's going on with the building but it's a massive warehouse style structure with very high ceilings with individual shops inside lining two 'avenues'. The atmosphere is pretty ordinary however there are some good shops and plenty of bargains to be had. There are some big name stores such as Chemist warehouse, Cotton On and Harris Scarfe and lots of smaller shops. Unsurprisingly there are plenty of clothing stores ranging from cheap and cheerful to more upmarket. I've bought some things there that I will hold onto and wear for years. There are plenty of other assorted stores including kitchenware (where there are always serious bargains to be had), books, luggage and so on. There's also a food court with plenty of decent eating places. All in all if you're after some good shopping/eating but don't care about atmosphere then I can recommend this place.

Small but got some great discounts on clothing . I ended up leaving with a lot of great outfits. I shoped at bardo if I was to go to there main store I would only be able to afford one outfit but at the outlet I left with 3 outfits and accessories clothing intrend still so it a know brainer to shop at the outlet.

This is my favourite outlet in Melbourne. It is small and easy to go around; it has great food options and prices in a few shops are amazing. My favourite shops are Harris Scarf, Cotton on, Typo, Smiggle, Shoe Warehouse ... It is clean and easily accessible by trains. Only downsize is that the parking is really expensive.

Really great outlet! I remember coming here years ago and it was one of my favourites in Melbourne - I think the selection of shops could be improved but you still get a great variety here like Harris Scarfe and TKMaxx which you don't often see in other states! Love coming here everytime I visit Melbourne as its so close to the train station.

There’s nothing to see here and virtually no decent food here to accompany you while you shop. It’s not worth a visit given the many shopping alternatives nearby. Most of the stores here can be found at other outlets, such as DFO South Wharf. Otherwise, they’re forgettable and have hardly any stock of anything. There is a small foodcourt with a couple of places which aren’t great. Definitely not worth your time, even if you have nothing to do. If you are looking for outlet prices, go to DFO across the river with plenty more stock. If you are looking for something to do, look at the rest of the city. Especially the rest of the CBD if you want shops and food.

  • 5/5 Michael P. 1 year ago on Google

Handy place right next to Southern Cross Station, great for emergencies. The Chemist Warehouse here have larger packaged medicines that you don't generally see at other outlets.

I like this place. The food court is varied & clean. Has some good shops & TKMaxx at the end is good for a browse for gifts. I like the little resting area with comfy seating using an empty shop space for respite from shopping.

  • 3/5 A. M. P. 1 year ago on Google
Not a bad place to shop but if you are looking for a more extensive direct factory outlet experience then this is not it. It doesn't have half as many shops or brands as dfo south wharf for example. But all the same, a nice clean, bright, smaller mall with some real bargains. It just depends what you're looking for.

It was great to see a wide range of stores. The store finder was easy to use and the outlet had enough of a range to make it worth a visit. Despite its close location to the city it was not over crowded and the staff at the couple of outlets that I went into were very helpful.

This place is above Southern Cross station (the old Spencer Street train station) and has a good variety of clothing outlets and a small food court. Photo is of $15.50 beef with black bean sauce and rice (good size)

It's a smallish shopping outlet close to the Southern Cross Station. It's pretty easy for me to visit as it's well connected by tram from my home. There are quite a few good shops there, including a few good places to eat. The best part i like about this shopping centre is that it's one of the few places to have both TK maxx and Harris scarfe. I love shopping in these 2 places. They being next to each other here helps me to definitely shop things when i need to buy something for house decor or i have to gift someone.

  • 3/5 Dave G. 10 months ago on Google
It's fiiiiine, lots of small outlet style stores. If I'm being wildly critical, a lot of it is pretty shabby. When I was there the WiFi was off, and so I did a short lap, picked up an electric toothbrush at a decent price, another short walk and then dipped. Little to keep you there, although the food court has some bangers. I'd give it a 3.5 but Google don't play that way.

So many memories of me shopping here with friends in the last 16 years. I guess the vibe has died due to the pandemic and people going through recession. Many shops have gone out of business which changed the entire vibe of this DFO, it's not like before 😭

I only had one store l needed to quickly visit, which was Harris Scarfe. Shops had only just opened, so it wasn't overly busy.

Not the largest and mall with the fanciest stores, but above the Southern Cross station - you can find both useful things for the train and air traveler (the airport shuttle stops next to it) and household goods for the inhabitants of the surrounding skyscrapers. Also the collection of stores and food court outlets is original - not the standard boring one of all major suburban malls.

I went to visit the Lindnt outlet and I ended up eating there and buying clothes and shoes all in this one outlet...was awsome

Ok shops, but parking is a nightmare. Especially the way they validate tickets - half price (on ridiculous prices even for city parking) and can only be validated via centre management. I think we ended up sending something like $15 for a 1.5 hour park. My suggestion is that if you can, go to the Essendon or south wharf one instead. Much cheaper parking and so many more stores.

Had an extremely pleasant experience with Centre Management which in this day and age is a rarity. Centre Management went above and beyond to fix a gift card that wasn’t working properly. Not only was there excellent customer service from beginning to end, but genuine empathy and a desire to assist. Thank-you for making my day!

Tosi iso valikoima kauppoja, monessa oikeasti hyviä alennuksia. Täällä kuluu helposti useampi tunti. Ostarilta löytyy myös ravintola-alue josta saa ruokaa. Siistit vessat plussaa.

Great place if you wanna walk around in circles for a few hours. Why isn’t every shopping centre outlet like this! Also the sales are exclusive, so I recommend stopping in when it’s open before a trip to DFO

Highly recommended is the best-known outlet in Souther Cross station, in addition to its variety stores, it has food places and a lounge when you want to rest. Walking through its corridors will make you happy, I assure you, it is a very pleasant environment to visit with your family.

They barricaded the bag lockers and noone was contactable. Entrance and lifts were all inaccessible so couldn't find any mall personnel. DO NOT OFFER 24H BAG LOCKER SERVICE IF YOU ARE GONNA LOCK THE AREA AT 6pm.
