Carnegie Central

Shopping center

😠 If the flat rate parking goes ahead I will never return to this shopping centre. Weekly Woolworths shopping will be at the coles down the road, gym membership will be cancelled for the one down the road. I’ll miss the other small businesses in here. Building management also doesn’t give the gym any... People often mention shopping, centre, parking, Aldi, shops, Carnegie, Spotlight, shop, Harris, Scarfe,

If the flat rate parking goes ahead I will never return to this shopping centre. Weekly Woolworths shopping will be at the coles down the road, gym membership will be cancelled for the one down the road. I’ll miss the other small businesses in here. Building management also doesn’t give the gym any thermostat control resulting in a hot gym at times. Landlord/bm is scummy. Also the carpark entrance/signage is absolutely awful, never seen such a bad car park design. Architects fault.

The car park is getting worse. Reckless people drive crazy speed around ignoring shoppers and kids crossing the road.

Carnegie Central Shopping Centre is a smallish shopping centre with an eclectic mix of tenants. Spotlight, Priceline, Aldi, Woolworths, BWS, a kids Play centre, a few Cafés and some others over a few levels. Underground carparking was a bit jam packed with confusing and difficult to see "One Way" signs and frequent logjams with cars going the wrong way in the very busy area on a weekday afternoon.

The centre is alright. My fave local. Has most things one might need for a local little mall. The Woolies is the better one. Easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking. The place does look a little half done with maybe new shops to come. It’s got a Daniel’s Donut which is a big draw. An Aldi upstairs and a gym.

A convenient local shopping centre that has Woolworth, Spotlight, Barber, Aldi, Harris Scarfe, Asian grocery, small Cafe, sushi and convenient collection of seats to use. Lifts and toilets available here. 2P free parking below - entry from Dandenong Road.

This is a fine shopping centre, nothing too fancy (most times I prefer taking the extra 10 minutes to go to Chadstone). The underground car park is always chokkas and very tight. I do appreciate that there is a one way system that most people seem to follow properly so that helps, but the congestion is too much. A few different grocery places, a Priceline, barber, florist, fitness centre and a doughnut place make it a small one-stop-shopping experience. Better off going to Chadstone for more options and heaps more parking without the congestion. I will continue to come here for any quick trips but I may try and experiment with different times of the day to avoid the crowds.

The toilets are an absolute disgrace. Filthy. What do I find when I walk out? Two cleaners on their phones/taking phone calls and playing on their phones. It’s an utter joke. Some of these tenants are pay $18k a month for this poor service!

Woolworth, ALDI, Spotlight, Daniel's Donuts, Asian grocery shop, Priceline, Fish and poultry shop, BWS, Hair salon, GoodLife Gym, GP Center etc. all under one roof. Regular shopping spot of Carnegie and neighborhood locals. Ample free parking at ground floor and basement for shoppers. 2-3 min. walk from Carnegie train station. Gp centre has Bulk bill options.

This place stinks of sewerage, especially the lower car park. And you can smell it in the centre. And quite often. I don't know why management can't fix the problem. From now on I'll shop elsewhere.

The Carnegie Central location is a popular shopping destination in Melbourne, Australia. It boasts a wide variety of shops and stores, including fashion boutiques, specialty stores, and eateries. The location is easily accessible, being situated in the heart of Carnegie, with ample parking facilities available. The atmosphere at Carnegie Central location shops is said to be welcoming and vibrant. Visitors have praised the cleanliness of the shopping center, as well as the courteous and friendly staff at the stores. The mall's interior is spacious, and the architecture is modern, creating a comfortable and relaxed shopping experience. The shops themselves offer a diverse range of products, with many stores focusing on fashion and beauty products. There are also plenty of options for dining and snacking, with several cafes and restaurants to choose from. Visitors can enjoy a quick coffee or a leisurely meal in between shopping. Overall, the Carnegie Central location shops atmosphere is well-regarded by shoppers, who appreciate the convenience and variety offered by this popular shopping destination.

My favourite local Carnegie Central offers a plenty of shops for groceries, pharmacy, fashion, gym and even dessert shop. The variety of goods make this place busy all the time of the day and thousands of customers been sutisfaied to do shopping here. Not to mention that the mall is clean all the time, the parking area is good organised and traffic is smooth. So, give it a try and become part of the huge community that shops locally.

New shops have opened since 2021, fresh produce is great and you can actually find almost anything you need, grocery and personal care about, in this mini mall . Parking is easier on level B2.

Worst management and security i have seen in any central in Melbourne, 3 boy’s smoke weed in baby changing room, while u took our baby to change. We went for shopping at harriscrruf, i asked the staff there, they also called security and I tried calling to management number and also the number mentioned on google map, none of them responded and no one showed up. And automated voice response says there operating hours are 9 to 5 pm, what happens if any incidents happen after that! Who will be responsible? U guys leaves operating business open but no support or security! Shame on you guys!

Great place to shop both Asian, local, art'n'craft, dine and bed, and a few food stall too. Parking a little challenge at the entrance and two exit.

Great stores such as Aldi, Daniel's Donuts and the Asian Grocer. This shopping centre desperately needs an upgrade. Comes across dirty and old. If it received an upgrade, it has the potential to attract a similar number of customers to the nearby Oakleigh Central.

You come up the escalator from the car park to the ground floor and the overwhelming stench of fish permeates the place from the fish shop. I sunny men just out front, you smell it as you come up the travelator . Now I like fish but not stinking the place out. Comes across as if you do not run or have an adequate venting system. So Centre management, either get a better exhaust fan system running or you will have customers leaving. This is not a fish market. By the way I will congratulate you - for once a shopping centre that has made its parking aisles one way - every shopping Centre should have this. It makes traffic flow better and certainly easier when turning corners.

Small centre with woolworths, Aldi, Priceline, Spotlight and Harris Scarfe. Has quite a few other stores and car park

To be totally transparent, I'm not a fan of shopping centres. I find them soulless and depressing. Carnegie Central is no different, however the parking is decent, as is the selection of discount stores (Also, Spotlight, etc ). So as far as shopping centres go, I give it 3 stars.

Great. Different mentality, look after clients unlike a few stores in the Carnegie strip. From the butcher, priceline and others they are happy to see you and look after you. Great service if you as a client are nice also.

Not the best person to rate this place, because I don't Shop here on a weekly basis, but I always found what I came here for. Happy to Shop here again.

My first impression was to write a negative review for the limited stock of your Harris Scarf branch. We had to leave the store disappointed. We came all the way from South Melbourne, especially to buy some special clothes that Harris Scarf usually has on offer. But was only able to find stocks that the Spotlight Neighbour usually offers at a better price. Where is the logic? Okay, thanks to the HS limitation , we bought menswear from a nearby ALDI store. Tadam! It was a good experience.

Carnegie central is my little local shopping centre apart from chadstone which I avoid due to the never ending traffic. CC has two underground car parks, clean, good selection of little shops and it’s easy to get around

A busy shopping centre and understandably so due to such handy shops there. Aldi, Spotlight and a great fish monger.

Great local shopping centre with everything you really need. I ducked in here when I needed a last minute birthday present and grabbed something from Harris Scarfe. Love having Aldi and Woolworths in the same place as often we need two or three things after our Aldi shop. The fresh fish place is pretty good too. And the pies at Daniels Donuts!

Initially I was coming here for Spotlight, but this place is slowly becoming my go to shopping centre. Easy to navigate and a good selection of shops! I've yet to have a negative experience here :)

I absolutely love this centre, I've been going to it for years. There is a Harris Scarfe, Aldi, Woolies, Fish harbour, Newsagency, Priceline (or if you prefer, Chemist Warehouse is walking distance) and even a doughnut shop. There is more but I won't list them all. Would definitely recommend it to anyone for all shopping needs from groceries to homewares. Overall very satisfied. :)

This cosmopolitan strip of shops is a wonderful world of shops selling foods of many different countries. It's just so friendly.

LOVE this place. It has a large Aldi, a large Woolworth, large Spotlight shop, large ish Asian grocery shop, 3 different types of takeaway food stalls, phone repair, basement parking, toilets, Doc's. I'm pretty sure there is a Gym is still there. Nice compact Centre, heaps of basement parking. It's clean, user & kid friendly. I prefer always than going to Chadstone for these main shop's. Chadstone can be way to large if you just want to go food shopping & maybe a bite to eat.

I'm giving five stars for the staff at Harris Scarfe .... Which is inside Carnegie central , cannot say the same for the staff at spotlight waited at the counter for ages while there was five staff members behind the counter, they ignored me completely but then served a customer who pushed in ... I'm an easy going person but I did get a bit eggie with them .... Harris Scarfe went above and beyond

It's a good spot if you have a day to loose! I love the produce in woollies and aldi special buys, spotlight is great if you have craft projects or just redecorating your home this spring, they also have everything you need in blinds and curtains department 🏬 Beware of Daniel’s donats near the entrance they are soooo good!, I want one now!!!

The centre is just too hot. In particular Spotlight and Aldi on Level 1 are unbearable. I can’t spend more than 5 minutes in Spotlight due to the heat and only go to Aldi if I absolutely must. You need to fix the air conditioning. Do better.
