Mr Close serves up a very good meal and Pad Thai is also quite good. Can be very busy at lunchtime on weekdays. There are tables for a sit down meal and you can also get takeaway from most of the outlets.

    Good place to charge your phone if you have no other access to electricity. The security guards are pretty cool, just tell them you're homeless and need to charge up. They'll leave you alone.

    Not the vibrant location it was pre covid - feels like there's about 1.5 million people missing. It is nice to see the tumble weed gone though..

    My daughter needed something from there, I needed the loo! I found the wash taps to be great, not needing to touch the soap dispenser or the taps was a different experience as well as sensor hand drying.

    My better half wanted some perfume and the only stock left in Melb was at a store basement of midtown. Not easy to find; it says 246 Bourke St but the entrance is off Swanston St. Maybe a sign or two would help?

    I'd take city over Chadstone or Doncaster shopping centre any day...my only gripe with the city is the regular Saturday demonstastions that interfer with public transport
