Family of 6 trying this place for the first time. We ordered Feast 3 for all of us to try a bit of everything. Well... well... food was amazing and we all loved the service and vibe of the place. Brisket wasn't the best but everything else was on point 👌

Genuine American style BBQ... every element including the hot peppers...the cornbread chicken wings... brisket was amazing! I definitely think the pork ribs and brisket is the best things they do. Great staff! Same there is no pumpkin pie. I will need to try the the other desserts.

Bluestone BBQ is a humble 60-seat venue open since 2017, located on Sydney Road. Pitmaster and owner Al, who has an Uruguayan heritage, delivers top quality smoked meats with a plethora of sides. On the menu you’ll find pulled Cuban pork, double smoked brisket, pork and cheddar sausages, pork belly, corn bread, empanadas, slaw, mac and cheese - the list goes on! They also have their own cocktail creations - the Cherry Bomb and Apple Pie were a winner! They have weekly specials, such as a bottomless lunch, happy hour, $25 express lunch, and Tuesday specials. They also have set menus and a la carte if you’d prefer. Everything was cooked immaculately, so full of flavour, and the variety is unmatched. We were very pleased with what we tried but our highlights were the Cuban pork, double smoked brisket, the pork and cheddar sausages and crispy pork belly. The red peppers and mac + cheese were also so so tasty. These guys really know their stuff and they deserve some more recognition for it. The passion is in the food and you can taste it. I will be returning to try more of their endless menu - I am eyeing those empanadas. We had a blast! Highly recommend.

This is going to be my favourite place for smoked America BBQ meat fare, highly recommend their bottomless lunch and drinks package, quality of meats and drinks are second to none. Al the owner is really hospitable and takes pride in dishing great quality BBQ smoked meats and delicious cocktails. He takes time to get to know his customers and he really treats his staff well. A real sincere bloke with passion for the business, will be a success. We will be back, highly recommend, you will not regret it.

100/10!!! Best American bbq I've had so far in Melbourne. Lots of flavour and the staff were so lovely. Best dishes were the pork belly, pulled pork, southern fried chicken, ribs and THE TANGY CREOLE SLAW (our fave non meat dish 👌) We got Feast 3 (2 people ordering), which we thought we would be fine getting through - first two rounds we were fine but the 3rd .... that was a tough one. We will definitely be back.

American BBQ all the way! 🍖🍖 Really nice looking place inside, feels like a wooden house. There are lots of tables but they are very close to each other, you literally feel like you are eating with the one next to you. We went on a week day, so not very busy luckily. The food is nice, flavours are on point and some of the sides are really delicious. So if you want American BBQ I would recommend you try this place! I would definitely go again to try other dishes.

Great spot for an American BBQ. Good value and probably the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. Brisket falls apart for how soft and juicy it is.

OMG!! Bluestone did NOT disappoint!! We had the Tuesday night special! The meat, Cole slaw, grits, and pickles were so good! Everything was spot on, the sauce on the table was the right kind of spicy! We, met Al the owner and was the nicest guy! Showed us the smoker and then invited us to try the kettle chili! One of the best chilies I have ever tasted. Great spicy and sweet with great flavour. Al then brought over his signature sauce and you can see me trying to lick the bowl clean! The service was terrific and super friendly! As an American, this is the place in Melbourne you need to go for great BBQ and a great atmosphere!

Perfect Setting and Flavours for an American Barbecue flavours, with true blue American Menu with grand American style portion sizes. Options available for different style of barbecue feasts with your fav meat cuts as well as cocktails. We had the bottomless brunch feast which was extreme value for money and every bite, we wanted to try more. Vegetarian platter feast was just outstanding and extremely filling. Mocktails and cocktails - we tried them all, true winner was Apple Pie Cocktail for us. #mojolevel 5/5

Super delicious. We decided after our first sip of cherry bomb cocktail that we would be back to try everything. We couldn’t keep our eyes off the food coming out of the kitchen. My husband has already lined up his mates for a boys dinner or two. Everything was tasty, fresh and served with a smile.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and got feast #3. It came with chips, pork belly, fried chicken, mac & cheese croquettes, cheddar sausages, chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket and beef ribs. So yes, it was a feast. The food was super good and it all came around the same time and although the wait was a bit long, it was worth it for sure. I would come back, like seriously, I would come back.

We were after American BBQ knowing we were visiting the area, so booked 5 days in advance (were not many spots left). We ordered Feast 2 for 2 people and boy it was a lot of food. So glad we had a light lunch in preparation. The best was the chicken and all the sides, the chicken paste was delicious. Everything else was good, but not so good I would be back as it's so out of my way. The staff were attentive, especially the female staff member who kept closing the door to outside when people or other staff left it open (was a cold night). I found the smoke flavouring a bit bland (didn't really pop like other American BBQ places I have visited) and the pork was dry. We also smoke our own meats at home, so we are a bit particular about what we like and don't like.

Dined in tonight #3 menu platter option. Great option to try many different menu items. Service...5 stars! Absolutely lovely staff. You cannot fault the quality of their ingredients, beautiful meat with amazing execution and presentation. We were so impressed. The one critique I have to make... some of the sauces that cover the meat I personally found quite jarring, acidic.. I think from vinegar? It took away from any smokey flavour for us. This was the only slight disappointment tonight. Have to say though, had the best sausage I have ever eaten. Smoked beef and cheese sausage.. WOW! It was amazing and we will be back for sure.

Absolutely LOVED this place for the Latin feast! With 7 courses with everything you could want off the menu, including some of the best yearling beef ribs I’ve had (literally falling off the bone), brisket/cheddar empanadas and pulled lamb …just to name a few! Def worth a visit if craving high quality American BBQ

We ordered the barbecue chicken burgers and were very disappointed with the quality. The buns were untoasted, that's burger making 101. The 'cheddar cheese' was an unmelted Kraft single, also burger making 101 melt your cheese. A single sad lettuce leaf was placed across the interior. The mayonnaise was as thick as cream cheese. The chicken was nicely cooked but couldn't make up for the sorry attempt that was $14 burger. Not really sure what was barbecue about this burger. This was a burger made without love and with a high price tag I was expecting better.

We really had an Amazing first BBQ Experience tonight at Bluestone. Quailty Meats, Great Flavors and Awesome Team too. Our meals didn't take long to be on the table, everything looked nice and tasted even better. We will back to try more stuff soon for sure.

We decided to try Bluestone one night for dinner and oh my goodness were we pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was exceptional and the cost was reasonable. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you for a great night.

We found these guys during a walk on lockdown and we have been so impressed by their take away food and cocktails. So easy to prepare, their meat is ridiculously tender and tasty. I don't usually make Google reviews but this is how good their food is ?

We had the bottomless brunch and it was just so good! Not just the food they served, which had plenty to fill even the fattest tummy. Their cocktails were yummy and delicious too. The service is just outstanding! Overall a great weekend outing that everyone should try.

A lovely we restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was tasty and served quickly. A fair portion and a fair price. Great cocktails. Kitchen staff in plastic aprons kept walking past and a side view of washing up didn’t add to ambiance. But overall a great little place for an easy meal

Had the Feast #2 and it was superb. It was a busy night and the staff were fabulous. Amazing energy and food. Thank you for the maple pecan pie too. Wow! Fast for 24hrs before going. 😂

Ordered Feast 2 and mains. The food tasted good but thr chicken chops and wings were salty. Food was delivered to the table within 5 mins after I ordered. I was surprised that it arrived so quickly. The food was not hot - just warm or cool. Disappointed as BBQ food should be hot - like it just comes out of the bbq pit. Anyway, services was good.

Visited Bluestone American BBQ on a Thursday and enjoyed their $1 wings and $10 cocktails. These deals are hard to find these days in this economy! Other than these amazing specials, they have plenty of other options on their menu! The Yearling beef short ribs paired so nicely with the potato salad! We had: WINGS - Garlic parmesan - Barbeque blue cheese - Maple habanero COCKTAILS - Ginger paloma - Caribbean queen - Apple pie - Cherry bomb OTHER DISHES - Yearling beef short rib - Potato salad - Empanadas - Fire roasted red peppers

Great table service. The restaurant was about half full and we were served our orders very quick after ordering. The Brisket and ribs were delicious (plenty of flavour) and the side dishes; Gritts, slaw, mac & cheese bites, and the corn bread were great additions. The cocktails were great and the food was well presented. Good value for money and left with full, satisfied bellies.

It was nice overall, totally reasonable and price worthy. We ordered 4 meat dishes and 4 sides for 5 people to share. The serving sizes are small, worth what you pay for it. The pulled lamb was average, slight flavour to it. The beef brisket was flavoursome and had good quality meat. The Beef ribs were also really nice and melt in your mouth types, paired nicely with the sauce it came with, had a smoky flavour. The bbq chicken had a slightly sweet flavour to it and was good. The red pepper salad was delicious, had a tangy flavour to it but paired nicely with the meat dishes. The chips were yummy & crispy too. The coleslaw type salad was more like pickled cabbage but like the ref pepper salad more over this one.

We can't stay away from Bluestone, it's our semi regular date night spot. Friendly staff & great food, we leave satisfied every time! Cuban pork with the Creole slaw, Southern fried chicken, Chicken chops, Corn bread, Mac and cheese. Amazing! Every time! Thank you Bluestone Team!!!

An absolutely epic and filling spread, a variety of meat options and the sides were delicious also. Cocktails packed a punch and lovely service. Empanadas, sticky pork belly, pork ribs, corn side dish & chicken thigh are must orders!

On 18 May we visited this AH-MAZING American bbq place in Coburg and we got: 🍗 Fried Chicken Beautiful crunchy, aromatic & juicy chicken. 🧀 Mac & Cheese I’ve been craving this for a while now and they nailed it, really easy to eat, not greasy at all. 🥗 Coleslaw Nice tangy salad, best to have in between the meat 🫑 Bell Pepper Refreshing smoky capsicum! 🟡 Grits First time for us trying this! Subtle & fully, nice contrast to the other bite-y dishes 🥩 Smoked Beef Tender beef with dominant smoky flavor which we loved! Chimichuri was a good compliment but we highly recommend to pair it with their table chili-bbq sauce 🥩 Lamb Another tender meat, very flavorful and did not have the strong lamb-y taste which we appreciate. 🥩 Beef Sausages You know a good sausage when you eat one and this is it! Great crunch, thicc fillings and flavorful. Everything was bloody incredible!! Where have you been all my life?! 😱 The quality of the dishes are top notch and the value?! Damn, they’re not playing around ‼️ The staff was very friendly and the ambience was nicely intimate (we visited during dinner time). We have found the best place to make your weekends better with BOTTOMLESS LUNCH @bluestone_american_bbq 📍Coburg We must say they do bottomless so very well and the cocktails we had were some of the best ones we have had. Each of them being unique and beautifully presented. Coming to the BBQ part they use the authentic wood BBQ and the dishes are so yumm and packed with flavors. When combined with bottomless drinks - makes a perfect spot to spend your weekend. Must must visit as we know you will enjoy it here as much as we did. Bluestone American bbq has been around a while in the Coburg area! The lovely owners Amanda and her husband invited us in to try their menu! I have been before for their a Tuesday special which is only $20pp and I love it as a choice for American bbq! It is such a fam style restaurant! We had their feast 3 menu which is only $59.8 pp and I swear we were so stuffed 😂 we had enough leftover for dinner the next night! Win win!! The feast 3 menu includes crispy pork belly (which was an absolute highlight), pork spare ribs, southern fried chicken, double smoked brisket, Cuban pork, smoked chicken chops, pork and cheddar sausage, BBQ chicken wings, tangy creole salad, fire roasted red peppers, stone ground grits, Mac and cheese, a salad and French fries! 🤯 I know a huge amount!! Our highlights for the meal were the pork belly which was so crispy and juicy, full of so much flavour, the pork and cheddar sausage (which is already a fave of mine here 🤤), the Mac and cheese croquettes and the smoked brisket! Honestly the fries were legit my favourite fries I think I’ve had in 2+ years 😂 insane! We came soooo hungry! Had a lovely meal here, and enjoyed the Tuesday specials menu and the beef ribs. I found the beef ribs flavour to be a bit average and the food tended to get cold quickly. But otherwise, there was lovely flavours on the Tuesday specials meal, which has a nice pork sausage, a beautiful mash and a pulled pork to die for! The apple pie cocktail was quite good but the ginger and lime cocktail didn't have much of a ginger kick to it. I'd come back again for some of their other flavours! 😊

Booked in for the Bottomless, we arrived 30 minutes early but was no problem with the staff.. the food was beautiful and we tried every cocktail and the Prosecco.. suffice to say we left very satisfied and a bit tipsy.. the service was fantastic.. we will be back.

Was super excited to try this place. Not worth the price tag. The food was cold by the time we got it home 5 min drive. I love American BBQ but all the meats tasted the same. Chicken and waffles were yummy. If our meal cost $50 we would have been impressed but for $80 it was a waste.

Really big disappoint on the brisket guyz With a smoker like that... I was defenetly aspecting a masterpiece (not like franklin) but at least in those notes....or at least at bluebonnet level..... Instead we got a clearly oven poached brisket with gummy boil texture serve in a really thick slice with sauce spring onion and fry shallot....

Wonderful selection of meats! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Friend chicken was the highlights followed by the brisket. They have a separate Halal menu as well. Worth the price. Mac and cheese was sensational.

Delicious food and generous portions. We especially love the brisket burger and the chicken burger. Yum! We order takeaway and it is always ready at the pickup time.

If you’re looking for high quality smoked bbq meat north of the city this is the only place. Have been several times whether for business, friends or a date and it’s always been a good experience. Great staff as well and cosy space. Personal faves, pulled lamb and southern fried chicken with a side of roasted capsicum. Brisket needs work Great selection of drinks as well.

We just are there for lunch, making it the 3rd time my son had been there in 2 weeks. It has been consistently good. All the meat was perfectly cooked and the bbq chicken wings and southern fried chicken was the best I've ever eaten. The service is friendly.

No idea how this restaurant has so many rave reviews. I had my order delivered this evening and it is beyond horrific. The burgers were absolutely disgusting to look at, the chicken was pink in the middle. What a waste of food. The Mac and cheese we also ordered was missing. Extremely disappointed, it’s not hard.

I like good smoked meat and this restaurant has all the right equipment to make it right. We started w a Coburg Lager as you do when in Coburg lol and this is a great beer. Then we ordered “The Feast” feed me menu. This was a fantastic selection of crispy pork belly which was cooked soo well. Yumm The we had some pork spare ribs,southern fried chicken, double smoked brisket, Cuban pork, Jerk chicken, smoked cheddar sausage, tangy creole slaw, fire roasted peppers, pickles, stone ground grits, Mac n cheese, cos salad and French fries! Phew hahaha. There were so many highlights and I’m not going to name them all lol. Other than to say that the food was delicious, it all had a great smoky flavour, and the meat just fell off the bone on the spare ribs. The double smoked brisket was great, the meat was soft and juicy, w a good smoky taste that wasn’t overwhelming. The cos salad was fresh and crispy, the French fries crispy, and the Cuban pork... a winner for me. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I was so full hahaha but very happy. To finish we had a Thunder Road beer, which was the perfect way to finish the meal. This place is a must visit, w trams at the front door and plenty of street parking.
