Second time we've eaten here. Great local restaurant with a menu that's a little different and unusual. Our group of 6 went on a Monday night and we're seated in an area of our choosing as the original bench/booth type seating was too difficult for my elderly parents to get in and out of. We ordered one Entré to share, the lamb ribs which were absolutely delicious. Tender and tasty with a delicious crust. It was supposed to come with preserved lemon but there was no evidence of it. We ordered a range of mains from Sliders, Burgers, Schnitzel and Eye fillet. All our dishes came with really good fresh chips. Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed their burgers which all had a bit of a twist. ( Monday is Burger night and there is quite a selection as well as the standard menu). The Eye fillet was a beautiful, generous, tasty cut but was unfortunately overcooked. It was ordered medium rare with a crust, but was well and truly medium and tending to dry. The staff were very solicitous and offered to redo the steak which we declined as it would have taken way too long. It was ordered with the red wine jus and also the mushroom sauce, on the side, which the very helpful girl who was serving our group was only too happy to accommodate. Both sauces were excellent. As we were all quite full we only ordered one dessert, the "Tasting Platter" which was a beautifully plated wooden platter with a Chocolate Fondant/Lava Cake, Strawberry and Chocolate Mousse, choc mint crumble, berries, Apple & Calvados Sorbet, Espresso ice cream and decorated with some edible flowers. It all looked great and tasted as good as it looks! Highlights of the meals were the Morrocan Honey Lamb ribs, the Apple Calvados Sorbet and the Espresso ice cream. Apart from the miss with the Eye Fillet and the slightly Bland Schnitzel we all enjoyed our meals, the lovely freindly staff and the atmosphere. Will definitely return!

Excellent service, delicious food, amazing atmosphere - the perfect place to kick off a weekend. No wonder the place was busy on a Saturday morning.

The fit out is really well done. The coffee and cakes are good but.... I've seen the chef and the guy making my coffee go for a cigarette and return to their tasks without washing their hands. I saw the chef do it 3 times. I sadly ger my coffee elsewhere now.

I’m seriously impressed. Riddik is a terrific place. It’s as good in pretty much every respect as any hipsterville haunt I’ve seen including in the Sometimes highly fancied inner suburbs. And, this is a place in a fairly non descript suburban mall setting. It’s an oasis, folks. I bet it seriously goes off on a weekend here. We have a cavernous space here with little expense spared in style and fit out. There’s even a huge mural here. Plus, a very cute and clearly highly functional outdoor serving window as well. The whole deal is extremely impressive. That’s just the look and feel of the place. There’s a great looking menu here. I haven’t pondered over my meal choice as much for ages and ended up cross examining the server intensively about four possibilities before making a choice. I chose wisely. The pastrami beni, one of no less than five different eggs beni on offer, is a cracker. It is a delicious dish. It looks great and it is great. I could not fault it, from the really good quality pastrami to the beautiful hollandaise and perfectly made eggs. It was delicious. The detail is managed impressively here. My long black to finish was so good and it was so nicely presented on a board with both still and sparkling water. Wow. Speaking of water, the table water was chilled not room temperature. The three servers we encountered we all lovely too. And everything came out like clockwork. This is a top class place. It could be as good as any brunch place I’ve come across.

Another neighbourhood restaurant for brunch, lunch or dinner. Can get busy during week ends. Food is good and roadside parking is generally available.

Riddik is newly opened and I am impressed with the quality of the food. The coffee, in particular the iced latte was excellent. The atmosphere is vibrant and modern. It can get a bit loud. Service was efficient. However we were sat down initially without menus. The kitchen was well staffed and the food came quickly. The kids meals were nice however I would appreciate more options. One negative was the price. The price is slightly higher than equivalent quality that can be found in the city and south Melbourne. The cheeseburger and chips at $22 was nice but I won't buy again at that price. For some this is reasonable but as a large family with lots of kids I felt a bit priced out.

Riddik is one of the only few cafes in the Bulleen area. They have a lot of seating inside and an extensive menu. They have lunch options as well as alcohol. I’ve gone to this cafe for both take-away and dining in. They have lots of options in the window including pastries, sandwiches and to-go breakfast. Their coffee is very smooth and tastes great. I’ve also had their chai latte which is yummy. I recently tried their hot jam waffles that were coated in cinnamon sugar, served with vanilla ice cream and berries.

I had lunch, I thought it was some kind of hair in the food, but they said it was because the cheese had stretched out, but they replaced it with a new one. Very friendly service, very delicious coffee, thank you for their kindness.

The staff is friendly, creating a nice and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space. They serve good coffee, and the long blacks come with a neat setup for adding your desired amount of hot water. However, the unsalted eggs taste bad and have a bit of a smell. This isn't the first time I've noticed it. Also, the toilets (upstairs) and washing sink are often very dirty. Unfortunately, the disappointing eggs make me hesitant to return. Whoever is making them seems to struggle with preparing eggs well.

Amazing food. Missed some good photos. Cocktails were some of the best I've had. Staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. Pretty cool mural on one of the inside walls.

Didn't order anything but my coworkers did and it took forever to arrive but when it did looked exquisite. The aesthetics are awesome with a cool mural upstairs and even the walk in experience is great through the powered sliding door.

Had mixed feelings about this eatery. Based on my experience that day, the pros: the manager was a kind and friendly man, the coffees were fantastic, one of the two waitresses who served us was positive and cheerful and the food was tasty. The cons: We waited longer than we expected for the dishes to be served, the other waitress (the more senior one)was unhelpful when taking our orders, her demeanour made us feel foolish for asking her to clarify an item on the menu and the dishes were a little pricey.

Riddik is a bold and modern cafe standing out from the local shopping strip. With its modern design and contemporary atmosphere, it stands out from the crowd. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee or a place to catch up with friends, Riddik is a great option in the area.

The service was excellent, and the food was good. The poached eggs cooked perfectly, and the coffee served with sparkling water. I like the service most, very welcoming and standby for your request 10/10. It is the right venue for you if you nearby.

I've been here three times and each visit has been super cool. Nice and friendly staff, good consistent food and coffee and parking is always available. Riddick provides a lovely atmosphere full of locals young and older. Beautiful decor with cool plates, cups and cutlery. Random comment but it really is all the little things that add to an experience.

Funky place with nice food and some of the most lovely servers ever. Only downside was there were a few flies floating around and I had to keep swatting them away.

The staff here are absolutely delightful, and exceptional in making customers feel welcome. It’s a little loud inside sometimes, but the food is amazing! Very thankful to have this place just around the corner.

Great service and even better food, highly recommend a visit here, or better yet if it's local to you, make it a regular spot! There's a seperate machine for takeaway coffees which makes it super convenient. But if you feel like dining in (and you should), the atmosphere is fantastic!!!

I visited on a quiet Saturday morning. I decided to order the poached eggs with pulled beef, and it turned out to be incredibly delicious and enjoyable. The ambiance, reminiscent of an abandoned industrial site, didn't particularly appeal to me. Nonetheless, the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, despite the lack of a substantial crowd at the time.

Food was delicious, the service amazing. We had been booked into a booth but 2 of our group were unable to manage so the lovely staff quickly arranged tables and chairs for us. There are 4 steps up to the table and chair area so it would not be suitable for wheelchairs. The toilets are also upstairs. ETA: I stand corrected. It is wheelchair accessible! (The people I was with had other issues.) Anyway, recommended :)

My friend Karina recently bought me 2 coffees, an egg and bacon roll and an almond croissant as a little surprise treat. The egg and bacon roll was utterly delicious, the crisp on the bacon was just to my taste and the egg had a slight runniness to it, it didn't stream out but wasn't placid, just perfect. The coffees were a real treat too, still hot even after being delivered by the driver, kudos to the barista and the deliveryman.

Always a positive experience. Great coffee, great service, great food. Tasty and nothing too "fancy". Just simply done, with good food and coffee. Nails the basics beautifully.

Breakfast and lunch menu was available and we had a selection from both. Yummo! I particularly enjoyed my open steak sandwich, came with a special pesto that was very tasty and not over powering. The steak was cooked to perfection, I'd go so far to say it was barbequed it had flavour. Tried the pour over coffee, nice, have to say it's not to my liking, had flavour but was too light in that flavour, that's for me, I'm glad I tried it, you have to try different so you know what you like, prefer or not, do try it if you get a chance... Great place, I definitely have to go back, it's on my routine visits list now.

I love my weekly mother-daughter trips to Riddik. The food there is always amazing, served hot and fast, and the coffee is divine. The staff are all absolute gems - especially Frankie! 💕

I dined in with friends for lunch. The coffee was excellent, great presentation and a well-rounded, appealing flavour. The soft shell crab tacos and steak sandwich were cooked very well, price aside. I did find the service unwelcoming however. We ordered enough to spend well over $100 on a quiet day and wait staff seemed very desperate to get rid of us, perhaps trying to look busy or attentive… but I felt more relaxed crossing the busy parking lot outside than sitting down with friends in the cafe.

Superb service from an enthusiastic team. A menu that has something for everyone. A little pricey but well worth it. Something interesting about every dish. Missing a desert menu. Looking forward to trying some of the other dishes on a return visit.

Below average coffee. Very bitter, no balance of acidity, sweetness, etc. Plus, if you love it when the person serving you comes outside and starts smoking right next to you then this is definitely the place for you. 4/10 for the coffee, 10/10 for the second-hand smoke.

Absolute rip off and the food was cold. Slugged a Sunday fee without any warning full hidden and misleading. $43 for a big breakfast and juice most expensive breakfast eaten out in 10 years and wasn't even that great. Definitely do not recommend and won't be returning. AVOID!

Had their breakfast board and it was simply delicious. Cannot wait to go back to try the other dishes.
