WOW...we went here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Chin, our chef made it very special & entertaining. The food was cooked to perfection, he really knows when the food is just right to our liking. Really recommend this place, if you get Chin, as your chef...your really going to love the food!

Dinner 12/12/21 Howard our Teppanyaki master was great entertainment, we were lucky to have a private table due to booking timing. Food was amazing, we both went with the “Wagyu” banquet everything was amazing!

I feel like teppanyaki restaurants are a dying breed but this one has been around since I was a kid so they must be doing something right. A great night of good food and entertainment. The most attentive service I've experienced in awhile. The staff are really well trained and deserve recognition.

Kobe Teplanyaki is a great experience. Its tucked away at the end of a small strip of shops so you probably wouldn't find it unless your looking for it. Inside is a very nice traditional japanese style Teppanyaki setup. Staff are great, our chef Howard was a wiz with the grill and also happy to share some pointers on how to cook a steak. The Wagyu beef was on point, as smooth as butter. I highly recommend upgrading the desert to a banana fritter.

We came here for our anniversary and overall a great dining experience! We wouldn't say it was our best teppanyaki meal, but the chef was passionate about his job and we were well-entertained throughout the night. They even drew us a little happy anniversary note on the plate when we had our ice cream which was very sweet of them 💙 However, the quality of the meat could have been improved, but anyhow we still enjoyed the night 😊

It’s a great experience. Cocktails are amazing, staff are really nice and great entertainment as you’re engaged through out. I like the freshness of the food they prepare right then and there. But don’t expect take away noodle box flavours coz they use clean flavours for cooking.

I had been eager to experience a Teppanyaki dining experience in Melbourne, and after perusing reviews, I decided to celebrate my birthday at Kobe Teppanyaki. Welcomed by a warm smile, we were promptly escorted to our table. Though I didn't catch the chef's name, their politeness and exceptional culinary skills, coupled with entertaining techniques like food and plate tossing, added a delightful touch to the evening. The open kitchen allowed us to witness the culinary magic unfold before our eyes. Opting for the Wagyu dinner set menu priced at $116 per person, we were pleasantly surprised as the dishes arrived in a seamless flow. Kobe Teppanyaki's commitment to using only the freshest, high-quality ingredients was evident, and the meat and seafood were impeccably seasoned, rendering additional sauces unnecessary. The diverse selection of drinks provided a nice complement to the meal. A thoughtful gesture came in the form of a plate adorned with a candle and a "Happy Birthday" message, enhancing the overall experience. The attention to detail transported me back to the authentic Teppanyaki experiences I enjoyed in Japan. While acknowledging that Kobe Teppanyaki is on the higher end in terms of pricing, the exceptional quality and the added elements for special occasions make it a worthwhile investment. I left with the intention of returning for another memorable dining experience. not sure why there is a 16 year old serving alcohol in the bar? food is ok but it isn't authentic japanese food as it is run by chinese which is a bit odd the waiters seem tired and overworked feel sorry for them.

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant in the area. Always delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of varieties in their a la carte menu from sushi, hot dish to dessert.

If u r looking for decent teppanyaki in the suburbs this is the place. They have both teppanyaki and normal dining tables as well as private rooms for larger teppanyaki groups. Food was ok altho there is a minimum order of $75 per person and there is a kids menu for $45. The sushi entrees and scallops and prawns were ok..also had the wagyu set and it wasn't the best cut. Overall the food could be better. Entertainment is top notch, as chef is engaging. If u r up for catching food, best to not wear yr nice clothes! Best to book ahead as it gets busy.

Glad we booked this restaurant for our family birthday celebration. Chef Howard and the rest of the staff were fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. We went with the Kobe teppanyaki menu and enjoyed everything. Such a fun evening. We will definitely be back!

Pleasant and entertaining experience. It was fun watching the chef cook before our eyes. However the servings when distributed to each diner were small eg one prawn each. Miso soups were served but we had to ask for spoons as they didn't come with them. Rather pricey for what we had.

The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and attentive, however, there were not enough of them. This meant that we often had to wait for service, which was frustrating. The food at this restaurant was good, but not great. The teppanyaki was cooked well and the presentation was nice, but the flavors were a bit bland. The sushi was also good, but it was nothing special. The floor of the restaurant was very slippery, which was a safety hazard. It is clear that the floor needs a deep clean.

Kobe restaurant is the best place for good quality food, extreme taste and fun entertainment. We went there for our wedding anniversary and without having said anything when booking, we were treated at the end to a desert with wishes on the plate. Our chef for the evening asked us if we had anything special and this proves their extreme professionalism. Chef Man served us such a fun show and flawless service. Thank you all and we will definitely be back very soon as these kind of restaurants cannot be avoided but requested. We left the restaurant with huge smiles on our faces, happy stomachs and already planning our next visit.

Caters for all with warm hospitality and atmosphere. Took Mum out for a delicious meal in the dining area. Went back a week later with and caught up with old friends on the Teppanyaki side. Seriously delicious!!

The service is attentive and the dishes are nothing amazing. The fried chicken thighs and fried fish in the set meal are not as delicious as tempura.

Had my kid’s 5yo birthday celebration here and thought was good. They did stuff up the booking a bit which means we had to wait for an hour before we start our teppanyaki. The food was good and service wasn’t bad either. They cut the cake and added ice cream with it which was nice of them. Good experience.

Ambience was nice, service was good throughout although the restaurant was quite empty at the time. Ordered the Kobe sushi combo, it looks quite pretty but unfortunately the fish was not very fresh.

Great food, customer service and very friendly staff! We were lucky to get ourselves a funny, entertaining and skilful Teppanyaki chef. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Prepare to catch some of your food and bowl. It was a lovely and memorable night. We will definitely come back again!

Had my birthday dinner here with family and friends. One of the best teppanyaki experiences I've been to. The food was good but the experience and service was amazing. Howard, our chef, was entertaining, enthusiastic, fun and hilarious. He was accommodating to his guests' dietary needs and requirements and made sure everyone was comfortable. Waitstaff were also polite, friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place for a fun meal!
