👍👍 The char kway teow is the best I've ever had so far around this area. It is full of flavours with the hint of charred smokiness! The fish head noodles are just delicious with a generous portion of deep fried fish head served separately. Will definitely come back for more! People often mention fish, good, Malaysian, head, time, taste, service, dishes, authentic, friendly,

Since we last came, there’s been a major uplift to the cafe with a much more inviting entrance and decor. Unfortunately the same food we had gone the other way… Curry laksa chicken was one of the worst we had. The blend of spices used was just so odd that it was a put off for us Onde-onde we bought (supplied from elsewhere) was packed with dough instead of palm sugar What saved our day was the not too bad teh tarik (altho not fragrant enough) and prawn mee (rich broth altho we wish there’s more kick & fragrance to it’s chilli paste.

One of the best Malaysian restaurants that we ever tried. If you love carrot cake and having trouble finding a good one, you must try their Penang Char Koay Kak. Very similat and taste amazing. I forgot to take the pic, but will post next time I visit them. You also need to try their Fish head noodle soup. They don’t use coconut milk they deep fry the fish head. Taste so light and tasty.

Very popular joint, on this occasion we had their fish head noodle soup and char koay kak. The former was a clear standout with beautifully flavoured hot broth paired with delicious fish. The latter paled in comparison but was very decent. Service was friendly and efficient.

Good Malaysian food with nice service. They have a great selection of Malaysian kuehs at the order counter. We ordered: 🐟 fish head noodle soup, deep fried fish head came separately to keep the fish crispy, soup was milky. We thought it could be more sour if they added some preserved mustard vegetables. Still good. 🍜char tang hoon was the highlight for me, I actually came to taste this, and it was great. My parents thought it could more wok hei but it was to my taste nonetheless 🍗 butter chicken chop with rice had an unexpected taste for me. I was hoping for something buttery and creamy, it was creamy but no buttery taste. It was cooked differently with curry leaves, spices, onions and a bit of diced tomatoes. A bit spicy (I can’t take chilli) so it wasn’t for me. Chicken was crispy though.

Amazing renovation of the restaurant, much nicer, modern and casual environment. Lots of families here and very busy at 5.30pm Friday. Food is good. Average, yet high quality meals and reasonable pricing for fairly large portions.

I was not having high expectations entering this restaurant. It turns out that this has to be one of the best Malaysian restaurants I've been to. The food and drink all tasted amazing. I can rarely remember the flavour of the food I ate before but I can still remember the flavour of the Nasi Lemak I had for lunch today. I'm already craving for more. What a pleasant surprise. Will definitely come back.

Returning to Penang Flavour after many years. The food is definitely better than kast time. Tried the chef recommended menu, and it’s very tasty. The smokey flavour and the crispiness of the anchovy made it complete. Definitely like the flavour. It’s highly recommended.

Excellent service, even more perfect food and great spacious restaurant. The moment you walk in you can smell that wok taste in the air. That's when you know you've walked into an authentic restaurant! All the dishes came in big portions and perfect score taste for my dishes. Excited to try our the rest of the menu. We'll done!

This a joint for quick Asian food. No dishes to go with rice. All individual course per person serving. But the food is good. Very authentic south east hawker food. Love their Gado Gado, sar hor fun, fried tang hoon and many others. Parking In front of the restaurant.

Very authentic Malaysian fare with a wide variety of standard dishes that meet the expectations. Notable dishes are the Asam Laksa, Wat Tan Noodles, and Chow Kueh Teow. Didn't have a chance to taste the dessert, but they were tempting.

Delicious takeaway! Authentic flavours and quality ingredients. Especially enjoyed the Char Kway Teow and Mee goreng. Nice selection of take away deserts on offer too.

I've been here many times before but not the last 2 years. This place is still very popular and always has a long queue if you want to dine in. I craved for Penang Har Mee or Prawn Noodle so order that without hesitation but I was disappointed as they put the side condiments chilli paste directly in the food without asking me. The chilli paste was sour and contaminating and overpowering the prawn soup base. I would have wished they put the chilli paste aside and let me decide if I wanted it or not. My husband came to try their fish head noodle but they said they don't sell this on Sunday. Minutes later we saw the table next to us was having the fish head noodle and then asked the waitress then only realised they had not much left and sold out within 2-3 customers. We were there quite early around 11:15am. It's a disappointed experience although the sar hor fun replacement for my husband was kind of tasty except they served frozen prawns.

Fish head noodle is superb, separate tasty noodle soup with the huge portion of fried rockling fish head & flesh at $20+, free parking, friendly server, nice ambience. Love the glass noodle . Worth to visit for your daily craving for Malaysian Penang food ❤️

Very nice food experience. Authentic Malaysian cuisine, place was packed when I visited, got the table seating in less than 15 min. Great service by the team. Food was delicious, so many items in the menu. Will come again another time to try more dishes. Reasonably priced , quantity is quite large. Highly recommended.

A very popular Malaysian joint, all packed by 6pm dinner and a constant queue waiting for a table. It's not a huge establishment, but it does create a vibrant atmosphere. The laksa is to die for and the drinks and desserts paired the meal very nicely. Food comes really quickly, and while they did forget one of our meal, the staff was super apologetic and sorted it out quickly and updated us once realised the error (unlike some places they just ignore you). Price is on par with other Malaysian restaurants in the area, highly recommended to pop in for a try if you haven't been there before

It’s an Asian “kedai kopi” (coffee shop). Straight forward seating…put your name down in the book when it’s busy and wait for a table. All good because everyone there eats and leaves, so you don’t have to wait long. Staff are friendly enough…seat you…bring you your order. Pretty normal. Go up and order at the counter and pay. The selection of dishes on order are diverse and a good selection of food dishes originating from Penang. Former Malaysians and those in the know will be happy with the choices on offer. We ordered assam laksa, wanton egg noodles (dry) and prawn mee (Hokkien mee). The laksa was tasty but not very dark ‘Penang’ style … had all the right ingredients, though. The prawn mee had all the right ingredients too but the broth was just short of being exact…needed to be a little bit more robust. Wanton mee was fine and recognisable for what it was. Worth trying out this place for a taste of Malaysia.

I ordered prawn noodles and Milo dinosaur. Both tastes are so good. Normally, i can't finish the whole bowl of noodles. But I finished all in here.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Malaysian restaurant located near Westfield SC that serve a variety of authentic dishes at affordable prices. Clean and open space, friendly staff and great atmosphere. We ordered: 🥢 Nasi Lemak w/ curry chicken 🥢 Koay Teow T’ng Soup The broth was light, it had a mild chicken flavour, but the chicken pieces were quite bland. The only ingredients that had seasoning were the fish cakes & fish balls. It was ok, nothing memorable. On the other hand, the curry chicken was full of flavour - spicy and hearty. The rice was cooked perfectly and it had a pleasant coconut taste. We also loved all the little condiments served on the side. 😍🤤 Finn bites dining experience 4.3/5 ⭐️ $ 💵

A popular Malaysian spot in Doncaster. There was a line to get in on Saturday night but it moved fairly quickly. I did enjoy the food but nothing stood out in particular. Overall I would recommend if you’re after a casual meal with quick service and fairly authentic flavours!

Fast and friendly service, food came out almost too quick! Bit of a wait on a Friday night but they turnover the tables pretty quickly. Food flavour was great and portion sizes were very decent. Would recommend!

I frequent Malaysian restaurants very often, and being my first time here, experienced the best service I have seen in a very long time. The ladies very all very friendly and helpful. They took time to help discuss menu items. I really enjoyed the Sar Hor Fun.. it could've done with a little more wok hey but it had great flavour and good amount of varied protein.. All in all, looking forward to my next week. Parking in Saturday evening was a little tough.. I had to park down a side street but was easy enough.. Order and pay at counter place.

Staff is fast and friendly. They are like a family restaurant who seem to know their frequent customers. The food comes out relatively fast even though they have so many customers, even on weekdays. The food is top notch. I use to enjoy paparich and now I can't stop comparing the flavours this place has to papaprich. I live in Sydney and I will definitely plan to make a trip here every time I fly to Melbourne.

Stumbled on this hidden gem this past weekend. Great selection of all the Malaysian greatest hits, including refreshing drinks. Friendly efficient service too. Steady steam of locals coming and going. Will definitely be back!

A bit overrated char koay teow $15. Nice and spicy as requested but noodles very over cooked and lacked a deep savory / umami flavour. No wok hey at all. Very long wait for takeaway. 45 minutes
