This place is great! Fresh, tasty well priced food. Good size portions, Food came out quick when the restaurant was busy. Service was quick & efficient. The vibe of the place was great as well. Also ordered the Korean pancake dessert, absolutely loved it, was not expecting a crunchy pancake but it was amazing! - - - - - - - - ORIGINAL REVIEW: We came here on two separate occasions and loved it each time. Food is fresh, great portions, and a good variety on their menu. Service is great too, they cook the BBQ for you at your table. We were pleasantly surprised to see they served purple rice, which is much more nutritious than white rice, and it's cooked to perfection. So fluffy and yummy. Highly recommend the Ox Tongue (BBQ) and beef bulgogi casserole. Keen to try their cold noodles and fried chicken next time!

We come here every now and then to have a quality meal. As a local, I got to say this is one of the best Korean bbq restaurant in Melbourne with great service and quality beef and chicken. It is one of the very few Korean restaurant that uses charcoal for bbq. Our non-bbq favourite is the Ginseng chicken soup. There are also other non-bbq options if you wanna try other Korean dishes. Friendly staffs and very clean inside out as a whole.

Had a delicious lunch on Friday. Staff were friendly. Food was quick to come out and full of flavour and was fresh. Unfortunate that there is such a high surcharge on public holidays (15%). Would like to come back and do the BBQ/grill menu!

My favourite place to get cold noodles! I’ve been to a few other places but always end up thinking man, I wish I was eating BBQ-K’s :( BBQ-K’s is still the best because of the amazing pickles and the broth which has the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. They’re generous with the pickles too! I sound like a crazy pickle cold noodle fan girl right now but it’s just too good so I had to leave a review 🤣 I wanna eat it forever ❤️

Great place for Korean bbq! The beef was super tender, and the fried chicken were delicious! The sides are amazing, and the service was more than great! The seafood pancakes and the japchae might’ve been slightly too oily for my taste but still very yummy. And the bulgogi was a bit dry but we might’ve overlooked it accidentally. The matcha red bean ice cream is also really good!

It's my 4th time here 😄 Meat is always perfectly marinated and cooked. The soy bean soup is my favourite - beautiful flavours. The KFC has the best crunch. Service is also always great here.

I've eaten here a few times now. With my family and with friends and we never leave disappointed. The food is great, our biggest dilemma being what to order as we want to try unfamiliar dishes but not miss out on favourites! The service is friendly and efficient. The staff not only serve us, they also cook our meats at the table. Highlights are always Korean Fried Chicken and the any of the meats. Will definitely return again with family and friends.

My first Korean BBQ experience!! My partner and I didn’t have a clue how to use the charcoal so the staff helped us make the food which was very nice of them. Next time I definitely want to make our own food now that I saw how it works! My partner and I went for the Combination Set valued at $95 for 2 people, and tteokbokki valued at $20, with 2 grape juices. If you’re going 2 people I say the Combination Set is very filling, it comes with a lot of sides, 2 rices, and a soup (we had the Kimchi soup). It’s definitely enough as it is. The tteokbokki was amazing, definitely one of the best I’ve had ever. I like how it was pure rice cakes and nothing else, as I know some places add noodles and stuff to be on the cheap side. I had beef on my tteokbokki and I think it complemented everything very well. We went for the spicy Kimchi and tteokbokki and it was just the right amount of spice without taking away from the flavour! We didn’t have any alcohol but if that’s something you’re interested in, their menu definitely has a good variety to offer. We had the black sesame ice cream for dessert and it was fabulous! It tasted a bit coconut-y too which was lovely. I hadn’t had black sesame ice cream before, now I know it’s definitely one of my favourites. Was very easy to eat. It was $8 and the portion was enough for 2. The reason I rate it 4 stars and not 5 was sadly they charge for takeaway containers if you have any left overs, which is always so sad for me to see because it makes me think they rather get rid off the food than let a customer take it home. For example I would’ve loved to take some of the tteokbokki home rather than forcing myself to finish it. Also even though I liked them helping us out with the food, because they did it rushed and all at once then took away the charcoal, our food got very cold and we couldn’t reheat it, and we felt cold too with the heat being gone. I wish they kept the charcoal on the table a bit more, I don’t know why they rushed taking it away as others around us were Taking their time and enjoying the charcoal for longer. I would’ve loved to slow down and enjoy the warmth of the charcoal as we reheated our food. Nonetheless, we’ll be back again and perhaps bring family over too. This time I look forward to cooking ourselves and maybe try another set of food and beverages!

This is our go to place for a Korean BBQ fix. We don't have a reservation today but we're lucky that they accommodated us as we're the first ones to come. After few minutes, people started arriving. The staff are all polite and helpful. They always check of the grill needs changing. This place is highly recommended.

Nice foods and service. They use charcoal for the bbq and makes the meat smells so good. Staff are friendly. The exhaust fan works well and make the whole place less smoky.

Came here for a birthday dinner. We ordered wagyu beef set and other dishes. The beef quality was pretty good, and it definitely showed when we ate it - it was like melting in your mouth. The complimentary pickles that came with the set were quite ok although some of them were not to our liking. The services were quick and they’re making sure our beef were cooked properly and our needs were cared for. it is highly recommended if you are around the area.

I wish I could give them 0 star. Their customer service is disgusting. We booked for 8:15 pm. It took 25 minutes at the restaurant before we were seated! That was annoying. Then we were waiting for another 45 minutes before they took our orders that was frustrating. We were about to leave unserved when one of the staff with a dish in her hand appeared! When I asked them why it was taking so long, they just said they were busy that did not make any sense to me. They forgot to bring us bowls, water, rice and… so for each of them I had to ask separately that was upsetting. Their conduct towards customers seems very unprofessional and they do not have any knowledge of customer service at all. The quality of the food was good though.

Visited BBQ K based on a friend's recommendation, and it didn't disappoint. Despite the packed restaurant, we lucked out on a spot. Opted for the pork set and Wagyu bulgogi, both served surprisingly fast. Staff assisted with the cooking, although you can DIY. The food was delicious, especially the comforting soup. Meat was tender and well-marinated. Bonus: leave a review and get a free soft drink. Highly recommended!

Delighted to find that they did charcoal bbq! The food was delicious including their sauces. I only wish they did more traditional side dishes. Service is great and they offer to help you cook.

Great place to go with a group. Very interactive being able to cook your own meats/veggies etc but option is there for staff to cook on the BBQ for you, large menu to choose from and great quality food!

Second time here and really couldn’t fault anything. We were the only table at lunchtime so we had two dedicated BBQ’ers who did a great job. We had a beef set, and a mixed set with beef, chicken and pork belly alongside a couple of vegetarian pancakes. Everything was spot on and it’s always fun taking newbies to Korean BBQ. Worked out about $80 a head with a drink each and plenty of food. Came back for the third time in a fortnight and the BBQ was still top notch. Also ordered the KFC this time around but sadly their Korean Fried Chicken isn’t up to the same standard. It was more like popcorn chicken and there was no option for bones in and the oil they used didn’t taste particularly fresh. Stick to the BBQ at this place!

Excellent food. Little on the expensive side. We ordered veg tteok-bokki, spicy chicken and soy chicken($70). Took a while to get the charcoal but otherwise the service was quick. Portion sizes were quite filling.

Lovely local K BBQ place in Jackson court featuring really nice facilities and great service. Ordered the combo set which came with a selection of three meats, small side dishes, a choice of soup and two bowls of purple rice. Meat was really good quality and the servers are fantastic and efficient with their cooking. Combo set was enough for two people. All up it was around $90 which was good value for Korean BBQ but still on the expensive side. Would come back to try some of their no -BBQ stuff.

The sets are reasonably portioned but a tad on the spenny side. It seems that the COVID-19 based price hikes are here to stay. The food is very yummy so its worth it. Great variety with the sets and friendly staff!

Beautiful food, beverage choice, and catering to a large group of 8. The chef/waiter for our table didn't seem to use all the meat we paid for, but we asked to use it, and he did apologise, which we appreciated as we spent a fair bit. Nice atmosphere, and whilst staff are efficient, it can come off as more of a 'in & out' service. We accidentally handed an extra $50.00 note, which was briefly returned, which we really appreciated and ended up leaving as a tip.

It is exactly what you would expect of these types of restaurants. Excellent quality and delicious food. The menu is a little too long but on the flip side, you have your taste buds covered. Solid kbbq! Everything was delicious, meats were good quality. We walked in around 7pm on a Friday night and man to get a table, it got busier after that though. Lots of large groups and families.

I have certainly loved my time at BBQ-K. The service was very good and the food was a stand out with the fried chicken being the best I'd had yet. My wife and I did take our 9 week old as well and although the space is not conducive for a pram we had no trouble fitting the car seat in the booths.

Everything is stunning! One of the best restaurants to go to. You can ask to cook your own meat or get the staff to help you out. The meat is top quality and there’s a lively vibe in this restaurant. Five stars
