It’s ok and it’s cheap 🥂 The potato gnocchi is simple but great and the soft mozzarella on top is so delicious. 🍅🥔 The meat pizza comes with salami, sausage and a kind of Italian ham. One of best in Melb. 🍕 I usually don’t order risotto unless maybe if it’s fine dining because most people don’t make it properly but this one is good. Perfect and cheesy with lots of mushrooms 🧀🍄 The dessert is tiramisu and also good, not too sweet. Just creamy 🍮

This is our go-to place for quality woodfired pizza when we're in the area ✨ the pizzas are light, crispy and flavoursome. The seafood spaghetti is also a must-order. Prices are reasonable, and the ingredients are fresh and of excellent quality, most sourced from Italy. As it's a family-owned restaurant, it has a warm and relaxed atmosphere, and the service is fantastic. Highly recommended for date night 💕 You know it - we'll be back for more 😊😋

Food quality is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! I threw out the food after just one bite! I could have purchased food at a servo and had better quality and tasteful food. 1) The sizing of the pasta is definitely not worth $29 2) The gnocchi was basically like big chunks of tasteless dry dough.. was like I was eating bread 3) Sauce was minimal and was watered down. No flavour and did not even stick onto the pasta AT ALL... leaving me to eat dry tasteless gnocchi 4) Food was cold 5) Took 60 minutes for this quality food, which should have been made in less (I know there is delivery time, but that was only 7 minutes) 6) Requested cutlery and even wrote it, and guess what... no cutlery. 7) Big random chunks of cheese which did not help give the pasta any flavour at all, as you literally just ate them separately as they just chucked ontop and shrivel up Literally disgusting, flavourless food. How can you serve a customer this type of food. I could get a heat up microwave pasta and would taste better than this. Absolutely disappointing! Doesn't even deserve a 1 star.

Great pizzas! The woodfired pizzas taste fantastic. This place does a brisk takeaway business and has a relatively limited amount of seating - we have found for Friday nights and the weekend a booking is essential.

Pizza Espresso by Nicolini serves up delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. We had a prosciutto pizza, which was thin and crispy with fresh toppings, as well as the butternut pumpkin and leek pizza, which was a unique and flavorful combination. The Fettuccine Carbonara was also outstanding, with perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, tasty sauce. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, making for a great dining experience overall. If you're in the mood for some delicious Italian food, this is the place to go.

This restaurant has become a usual dining experience for myself and my group of friends. The food is always beautiful but what makes it is the service. Our gorgeous waitress always puts aside tiramisu’s for us and she’s always providing us with exceptional service (even when we stay late chatting and they r ready to close up). We are regular customers but were really disappointed today. We ordered a pizza with Basil and chilli container on the side. Both pizza's turned up without any basil and no chilli containers, just chilli sprinkled on top. The crusts were huge. Not what we asked for! Also the almond dessert was awful. Sickly sweet and the almond biscuit was dry. Don't waste your money on it! Come on guys, the easiest and cheapest thing on earth is to make a pizza. Don't scrimp. Get it right.

Unfortunately, our local pizzeria was closed over Easter so ordered here. Quality has gone downhill. Pizza well below average. Pasta serves tiny. Bonus strand of hair rolled into our gnocchi. A disappointing experience 🤮

I have ordered from this pizzeria a few times and I always come back, they supply authentic italian pizza and I will continue to buy pizza but not because they are the best in the area. We ordered 3 pizzas and a vegan pasta to be delivered. they arrived promptly but we had a hiccup, the vegan pasta was not as plentiful as pastas usually are.we called up and the manager explained it was because the vegan pasta was more expensive so they don't give as much as they usually would. they then insisted to compensate buy sending out a vegan pizza. My loyalty lies within this pizzeria . Honest management and the best pizza in the district.

This place right here is what it's all about. They have beautiful Woodfired Pizzas that in my opinion a better than zero 95 and their pasta is beautifully made. I live around the corner and I'm so happy to have this place in my back pocket. All of the staff know their food and are passionate about what they're doing. It's worth driving to check this place out also the food is well priced. It doesn't beat 38 chairs but for the price and the location it's a five stars every day of the week

Absolutely delicious food. We were.a large party of 20 people and they accommodated us easily in outside seating. Not much seats inside, though, so I'm not sure what they will do in winter. I like their spicy pizza and the creamy mushroom risotto is to die for.

The ambiance remains wonderful, and the wood-fire pizza is still reasonable. However, I have a preference for the former chef, the Grumpy Italian fellow. ☺️

This was my favourite place to order authentic Italian pizza it’s such a shame what happened !? it’s like they have new owners?? The ingredients seem to have been down graded and the care for making it has gone from 5 stars to less than dominoes. I’ve eaten here every month for years with my partner. And it breaks my heart to leave this comment.

The pizza (I had the Emiliana) was one of the best I ever had. Perfect dough, perfect crust, excellent toppings. The pasta on the other hand was so-so. Pizzas is what they do best and worth a bit of a drive.

I had heard about Pizza Espresso as being one of the OG pizza restaurants with a positive review by Matt Preston further increasing my curiosity enough for me to drive from the other side of Melbourne and give this place a go. Pizza Espresso is a simple, inviting restaurant with an open kitchen where the focus is clearly on providing a quality pizza with quality ingredients and beautifully made, hand stretched dough. The pizza menu was amazing with many options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I have been to Pizza Espresso a few times since and rate their pizzas as some of the best I've tried, can't fault them. 100% recommend.

I just ordered from this restaurant for about the 20th time...never ever fail to dissapoint. Their home made gnochi with bolognaise sauce is absolutely to die for. Beautiful flavour, reminds me of my Nonna's recipe. The only complaint and its my fault, I should have ordered 2 servings as i was starving lol. Tiramisu is beautiful. Everything on their menu is a hit. You can tell they have passion about their food. Very difficult to find quality these days. These guys nail it! Very satisfied! Thanks guys.

Pizza espresso has been my favourite pizza place for a while, but sadly I’ll have to find somewhere else. I’ve noticed their quality has dropped to below average. I still gave them the benefit of doubt and ordered again. But they disappointed me again with dry and burnt pizza dough tastes like nothing but a cardboard and ridiculously poor topping. Who wants a piece of margarita pizza without cheese?? Nobody!!! I don’t know if they changed the ownership or staffs, but their quality is not acceptable. Look at the pics peeps. That’s margarita pizza without cheese and their 1989 pizza with tiny amount of topping. Look at the burnt edges. It’s not just edges though. All the way on the bottom. Good bye, pizza espresso.

Honestly words can not describe how welcoming your restaurant was. Firstly, I would like to thank the lady not sure if owner or manger but from the bottom of my families heart thank you. We find it so difficult to go out have meals with my sister allergies and you out done yourself, making sure everything wasn’t cross contaminated and she ate every little bit of your carbonara. Secondly, your food was not only made with love but so much resemblance felt like I was in little Italy or even at home having a home cooked meal. Thirdly, well done not only under the pump being a Saturday night but also everything came out on time. Entree, mains and desserts. Definitely will be coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the consistently exceptional Italian places in Melbourne. The food is always fresh and delectable. All the pizzas and pastas are great. However, make sure to leave room for the dessert, the sticky date pizzetta and their other seasonal specials are amazing too. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our party feel comfortable and cater for various dietary requirements. Great place for takeaway, to dine-in and for small functions.

I’m very lucky! I love pizza and just moved in nearby. A good friend recommended this place and we tried it out on a Tuesday night. Well, we were very happy with the quality and taste of these pizzas and pastas! It’s also pleasing to see the wood fired oven taking centre stage and to see the pizza makers doing their thing! I watched as pizza after pizza was being carefully crafted including the use of fiore de late (a delicious cheese for pizza) and then into the 350deg woodfired oven where it cooks in under 3min and straight to the waiting tables!! Great menu selection of pizza, pasta, focaccia, salads, drinks menu and it’s BYO!! Shop was clean which is always a good sign! So, if you live in the area or, like me, will travel for great pizza.. then try this place out! We’ll be back soon!

Came to pizza espresso as an early valentines gift with my girlfriend. As soon as we arrived we noticed a smell of sewage from the front of the store. the pizza was the best part of the dinner but the pasta was foul, it was chewy and rubbery with no flavour at all, clearly had no salt. The drinks were mediocre and the bathroom was by far the worst part. The floor and seat were drenched in urine, the smell was so strong it must have been marinating for days. would not reccomend this place to my worst enemy. felt sick on the way home. 0/5
