This place used to be a branch of Zero 95 pizza. Now, they have 'upgraded'. Sadly, the name "Express Pizza ...Bar" sounds like some quick and dirty takeaway, but mate, the quality of pizza is as good or better than Zero 95. I have eaten in the best pizza restaurants all over Italy, but man this little joint is at the top of my list. For takeaway, the pizzas are a bit lower priced than Zero 95....so why bother with Zero 95?!

Great-tasting pizzas, more of the gourmet nature, which is reflected in the prices. Decent sizes, though. We ordered a kid's margherita pizza, and it looked like a normal adult's pizza. Bonus! The lamb roast pizza was a bit too salty for our liking - maybe something more sour to balance the flavours(?). Recommend adding chilli to your pizza, if you want something really spicy. The meat lovers pizza was full of great flavour. The kinder bueno mini donuts are fantastic, not downed in too much chocolate sauce, which was probably a good thing. Definitely try the pizzas here. Friendly and fast service, easy online ordering with online discount.

TERRIBLE SERVICE- WAITED 1.5 HOURS FOR OUR DINNER. We came here for a birthday with a booking for 8 people. Lady who was serving us, who may have been brand new at her job and was left unsupervised with little experience, kept forgetting our drinks. All good people make mistakes. We ordered entrees, which came out pretty quick. We then proceeded to wait 1.5 hours for our mains, and I later discovered that the reason was because the lady forgot to put them through the till. At this point we were famished. I spoke to the owner who then gave me excuses like we have been really busy with Uber eats etc to which I explained that if you have a restaurant that seats a number of people, then you should be able to cater for those in-house. He barely apologised and offered us dessert. The lady did not apologise or anything until she realised that we were there for a birthday. Should have taken out hundreds of dollars and gone to McDonald’s.

Food is here is really really food. Very underrated. Easily the top 5 pizzas in Melbourne, minus all the flashy awards and banners that most pizza joints boast usually, which ends up being average and overpriced. This little humble pizza store called express delivers the goods without the BS. I eat pizzas almost every 2nd day. Always on the venture for the best pizza in Melbourne. Been to many, they claim the title, but as a commercial restaurant cannot deliver the same consistent delicious pizzas. THIS IS IT! You must try the gnocchi 4 cheese pasta with added salami or prosciutto and the carbonara pizza! Absolute heaven. Compeltlry different if you eat in versus delivery. Wait times can be really really long.. Warning. We waited about 60 minutes while seeing delivery and takeaway orders going out first. Priority could be switched over to in house customers first.. Only issue here.. When you order online you get 20% off!! Doesn't get better does it! Ps. When you order pasta via delivery or takeaway, the portions are smaller..

Really good pizzas, the paesana was recommended by the waiter, and it was worth it. Great salami flavour with a kick of spice. The 6yo loved his kids size ham/pineapple. Good calamari too. We didn't try the pasta this time, but will definitely go back to test that. Great customer service when in store, the only small issue was booking a table via text according to their website, they're obviously busy so response times were a bit slow. Won't stop us coming back though.

Ordered the tagliatelle bolognese but it was too salty, didn’t really taste anything else 🥲 Maybe I’ll try their pizza instead next time…

update: amazing Italian Burgers, better than anything a Gary could put together guaranteed. the staff here are the best. get a veggie pizza with chips and chilli oil. you will thank me

These guys are the Best! Uber driver stuffed my delivery, I called them up after an unusually long wait... They discovered the issue on the spot, and then rushed me out a fresh order themselves. Best woodfire pizza around! Thanks again for the great service.

One of my pizzas arrived soggy due to an excessive amount of tomato sauce and had an unexpected fishy smell (source unknown). The other pizza was fine, although the lamb's quality could have been better.

We dined in and it was great. Service was great but the food was superb. For the record we had the Lamb and Margherita pizza. Traditional cheese and nice light base. Rocket salad with pear was sensational, lasagne and Arancini also excellent. We will be back for sure! I’ve attached photos!

We stopped buying pizza from here after they got our order incorrect on more than one occasion. We ordered pasta from here, $25 and it was barely enough for one adult female. Absolute rip. Won't be back, far better options in the area.

First time visit to Express Pizza the other night. Great pizza, well priced, and friendly service. Couldn't ask for more. We'll be back.

AMAZING, so far the best pizza I’ve ever tried in Melbourne. We had the Meatlovers pizza and Linguine Carbonara, both were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, you could taste the high quality ingredients used in both of them. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, their place was also super clean. We had an amazing night, this place is A MUST TRY.

We got takeaway and the pizzas were delicious. Premium ingredients, thin crust; loved the pear and prosciutto with walnut pizza. We will definitely be back and will try dining in next time.

The best pizza! I love the base and crunchy crust. Extra tasty sauce and plenty of ingredients and combinations to choose from. My boyfriend loves the gnocchi. Keep up the good work guys!

I love this place! I always get food delivered to my home; and I have to say that they make some of the best pizzas that Melbourne has to offer, highly recommend. Btw the delivery drivers are very charismatic and funny.

I’m a frequent customer here, I generally dine in or do take away from this place. The customer service is really good and the owner of the place Nick is extremely nice. I highly recommend the gnocchi :)

DO NOT come here if it’s a burger you are looking for. Tasted like some left over meatballs broken up and wrapped up in pizza dough. Very very disappointing. Pizza wasn’t great. BUT the donuts are amazing. I recommend eating them here because they are fresh and warm. Once they get cold they get get a bit chewy. But fresh and warm they are awesome.

Ordered a pick up Pizza through their website but still waited 45 minutes once I got there. I thought that was poor service. It was like they didn't even start my order till I arrived there to ask. Some lady pushed in front, but the staff didn't care. Unfortunately, the Capricciosa Pizza wasn't great. The melted cheese looks like cooked Coon cheese, with Aldi Ham. At least it was a nice Sunday evening and sun set gives a good atmosphere. Edit: No - staff did not indicate that it was a busy night nor that my order would take so long. What is the point of pre-ordering? No - the cheese didn't taste or look right. Sorry.
