I ordered this at 7:50 pm and it arrived at 9:10 pm. I’m not even really fussed by that cause I’m willing to wait. However, I ordered two Tamagoyaki and only one arrived. You also forgot to put rice in the bento box 🙊 I’m honestly shocked by your service. I will say this as nicely as I possibly can, I think you need more staff, you can’t be taking orders and making your customers wait an hour to an hour and a half for food and end up serving an incomplete order. Please read the lowest rated reviews on your page, listen to your customers. Also, please don’t start your response with “We apologise that our service did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns” like you do for all your one star ratings that are all the same issues as you seem very disingenuous. Thank you x

Everything used to be $6.80 back in the good old days. We popped in for dinner last night, had a few dishes (one of which included a piece of metal which I bit straight into) and a sake tasting that never arrived. Food is nowhere near what it used to be, service was slow and they seemed overworked. We got a discount for the metal (seemed like we weren't the only ones) and 10% on top discount. We won't be back.

Wow, what a treat this place is. Japanese style tapas means you get to try so much in one sitting. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them one bit, they had great patience with us figuring out what we were going to order. An insane drinks selection from cocktails to sake flights, again you get to try more and more. The good came out quickly and was well prepared, all of it tastes great and leaves you wanting to order more. You'll want to visit this place again once you've been here first.

My friends and I really enjoyed our dinner here. Their hot udon soup was so nice - the dashi broth was tasty and the noodles were bouncy. Their zaru soba was really tasty too. We also ordered the cheesy chicken karaage, which had the perfect balance of saltiness, sweetness and savoury-ness. Their wagyu beef and teriyaki chicken stone pot rice were so delicious, and so was their Japanese curry. They were packed with so many wonderful flavours. The staff were kind and friendly.

We were glad that we dined in here. The service was exceptional before we even decided to dine here. The staff took time to explain the menus to us while we were at the door. It's a tapas style dinner. The food was good quality and the service was impeccable, especially love their scallops, oysters, chicken skewers and karaage chicken. Glad that we celebrated my birthday here :)

Tapas style Japanese food with creative and delicious drinks and great beer selection! I was shocked at their diverse Japanese beer selection and equally shocked at the price of the final bill (reason it’s not 5/5). It was delicious but many meals were a tad cold when they came out including the yakitori. Service was wonderful and our family enjoyed their meal. I look for are to trying the seafood menu next time! Too bad they don’t have any rice dishes on their menu.

The food was terrible. It’s unlike like any other Gyoza gyoza restaurant, the food looked and tasted completely different, and not in a good way. Nothing like the description/photos either. They seemed to add their own ingredients and whatever scraps was there. I also found an entire bouillon cube in my watered down “curry”, which was more like soup…not eating here again.

Can be a tad bit pricey depending on what you get but the food was great. Service was mediocre at best with my first dish taking just under half an hour to come, which is a bit strange considering the portions. Nice place to go every once in a while but definitely not somewhere I would go regularly.

Came here for dinner before watching a musical in the theatre nearby. Glad there was a seat available for walk in’s. Place is generally quiet which is great. Staff were accommodating. I like the concept of ordering via iPad but the wait time was a bit long. Ordered a rice meal that took about 25-30mins before it was served. Food was good though but next time perhaps I should give more leeway if attending a scheduled event after dining here.

Super nice restaurant and super valuable for the quality of the food. We got greeted by a super nice waitress, the food came fast and quite tasty, spent roughly 40 bucks in 2. Suggested!

Food was great, but service was terrible. I felt like the girls working there were actively avoiding my attempts to make eye contact and avoiding looking at me when I waved at them. We were sat for 45 minutes and our drinks never came. We finally had to pay at the bar and ask her to take our drinks off the tab (not even alcoholic / cocktails). I will not return based on service.

It’s great! The stone pot rice is quite authentic and unique in Melbourne, must try. The Gyu tan no shio yaki taste really good with rice, that’s some excellent beef! I shall try their yakisoba next time 👍🏻

Gave me a glass a water, unprompted ,while waiting for a take out order. Just a nice gesture on a hot day. Gyoza were great too.

Worst service ever, you will just waiting and waiting and never got your food until you reminded them. All waiters and waitresses were just walking around, pretending they were busy, bud did nothing. I wasn’t in hurry, so I didn’t mind. But when I paid my bill, I ordered a soft serve to go with me, the waiter said I need to wait about four minutes, because he just clean the machine. I said fine. Then I waited for over 15mins, standing there, no apology. Even after I asked when would it be ready. He said just one more minute. Then I waited for another 10mins. And it’s not the situation I felt long, and the real time wasn’t that long. After I left, I checked my phone, after payment, I waited for 25 minutes, standing there, and still didn’t got my soft serve. I was there from 5pm, I left at 6:30pm. There were only 2 tables, not busy at all. If you couldn’t do it, don’t ask customer to wait. Worst service experience ever

Delicious skewers, wide selection of items, and perfect for dates and business gatherings. Ended up losing my satchel there the other night, and they graciously kept it safe until I returned. Will absolutely come back again.

The foods not worth the price, waste time and waste money :)) waiting for 30mins, even my order have Steam Rice and they cannot bring it out first and the rice is OVERCOOK :))) Yakisoba but not taste like it, this is NOT REALLY JAPANESE FOODS. Kimchi Pork Hot Stone REALLY HOT, try to flow it maybe take 5mins for 1 spoon. NEVER COMEBACK.

Fun little number. A good clean and more attentive service would get a 5th star ❤️ Also, ordered Asahi beer and was poured Sapporo as no Asahi .. watched it happen, perhaps ask the customer their preferred alternative next time. Delish gyozas.

Didn’t know what to expect when I booked dinner here. Wasn’t much to look at inside. However, from the initial greeting by the friendly staff member, the easy method of ordering using a pad device, then the best part, the food, the experience was great! After I ordered, a member of the wait staff came over, confirmed my order, by going through the printed receipts from the ordering app. The food came out very quick. Beautifully presented and made with very fresh ingredients. The flavours were fantastic. Prices are very reasonable. Staff, as I mentioned were great! You can walk out of there having had a great feed for one person and a glass of wine for under $50! Give them a try!

I’ve been going to gyoza gyoza for years , to this location and the Doncaster one and it used to be my favourite restaurant. But unfortunately, tonight I’ve decided not to come back . I came here tonight with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday , the service was horrible. Our waitress , not sure her name but she had bangs and a hair clip, was so so rude . She did not say a word to us the whole time we were there and was giving us so many dirty looks for no reason. It made all of us uncomfortable and honestly shocked. We would say thank you when she would give us a dish and she would just look at us with a rude stare . Maybe she was having a bad day , maybe she hates her job but either way it was obvious we where there for a birthday which almost made it worse as it’s supposed to be an enjoyable occasion and having good service makes it so much better .. we all where very uncomfortable. The dumplings where burnt , our sizzling pork came out barely warm and not even close to sizzling and our drinks where filled with so much ice we couldn’t even drink out of them 🤦‍♀️Me and my friends are very easygoing and don’t complain so when we do you know it’s bad . this just was the last straw for me . Birthday dinner ruined by poor service and barely decent food . It used to be so enjoyable coming to gyoza gyoza with delicious food good prices and generous portions , but they’ve upped the price lowered the portions and the quality of not only the food but the customer service . Very disappointed and very sad to say it’ll be my last time at any gyoza gyoza :(

The staff were friendly, the place looked great. The food was partly disappointing. Grilled edamame, veg croquettes were too oily. The wagyu hot pot rice and chicken lemongrass gyoza were nice. Peach sangria was alright.

Great experience. They checked allergy information and were very helpful and friendly. Food was also delicious 😋.

The food is delicious, although the service doesn't sell itself. If you enjoy good Japanese cuisine and a casual eating environment where you don't want to be disturbed, this is a good place for you to be social! Like most Japanese restaurants, expect the servings to be small and it can get quite costly if you are truly hungry.

The food and customer service is so good! Definitely one of the best customer services I’ve had yet!

Food and drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, Ice cream machine was not working so was not able to get the dessert we wanted. However, Apple Like Sorbet drink was nice. Would return again :)

Terrible experience. The place looked great from the outside but horrible service! They sat us at a dirty table. My table water glass had crumbs inside. No waiter came to take our order. We had to order from a broken ipad and had to get 2 people to “fix” it. Once it ordered it to over 40 mins for the food to arrive and it looked nothing like the menu. Horrible experience. Would never recommend. The staff didn’t even know how to speak english. They couldn’t communicate.
