Don’t judge the place by the basic appearance and service counter..not designer, not mod, not anything to look at... BUT Truly the best coffee in Macleod.... and a real surprise is their food... it was really great, home cooked, not bought in from the same factory as the others buy from! Ned and Kim are true Hospitality peeps. With about 5 cafes to choose from in the strip, these guys rely on their quality offer and friendliness to compete, and do it well...Well done

Great food and amazing service. Friendly and welcoming with tables inside and out. Try the Elvis breakfast for something deliciously different. Clearly a big favourite for locals so well worth the drive or train ride.

Quite nice coffee but the food didn’t look so hot and the atmosphere inside the place was a bit odd. Just one table on the street doesn’t cut it either although there’s plenty of seating on a reserve across the road. Improvement needed, we think

The only cafe is Melbourne, which has organic eggs! Love it!

We went there for breakfast and must say coffee was one of the Best...corn fritters and smashed avocado was nice as well... Location is great with Park in front where kids can play and you can sip your Coffee.

We enjoyed a delightful morning with lattes, chocolate banana bread, and a "backyard brekkie". The coffee was excellent, and the breakfast was tasty, accompanied by exceptionally fresh bread. They perfectly accommodated our special requests. The service was swift and friendly, and the interior design and ambiance resembled that of a cozy old country home with lots of colorful paintings on every wall. The only drawback was the banana bread, which, in my opinion, had an uncooked flour taste. They also offer several vegan and gluten-free options. Remarkably, despite the organic offerings, the prices were competitive, if not lower than those of other cafes. I would definitely recommend this place.

People were nice, the food was the definition of mediocre and really over priced, didn't eat most of it. Tasted like a plate of old fryer oil, breakfast burger isn't a burger, its a $22 bacon an egg roll, there's no burger patty

I am always excited by the word ORGANIC.. it almost always manifests itself in the quality of the dining experience.. My brunch at Mr Macleod today was no exception.. I entered an establishment which instantly made me feel comfortable (which is half the battle won IMO) and was served a perfect coffee by young Jaz who engaged me in polite conversation without being invasive. I then ordered the vegan veggie stack but with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs.. nobody even batted an eyelash at my weird order.. My scrambled eggs were beautifully fluffy (organic eggs yes please!) and the veggie stack was perfectly balanced texturally with just a hint of smoked paprika at the end... I did not encounter a single micro herb, man bun or edible flower... and I left pleased enough write a review about it afterwards.. well done guys!! I'll be back....

I have recently discovered this fabulous cafe as I work close by. I have previously only had coffee which is superb, but today I treated myself to the Brekkie Burger, which was absolutely tremendous. It is seriously one of the best breakfast burgers I have ever had. Not to mention the delicious coffee and fantastic staff. I highly recommend Mr Macleod and it will be the only place I go to from now on for coffee and breakfast! Keep up the good work.

This cafe is wonderful. They go above and beyond all the time. My daughter refuses to go anywhere else (shes 3) the have won her over with a banana smoothie and the most delicious croissant 🥐

Give this place a go if you haven’t already, the coffee is great. This place reminds me of a country cafe.

After many positive visits , my take away tomatoe/cheese croissant , heated yesterday made me very ill after 4 hours , vomiting all of it up and diarrhea . So sad as I will miss going for the wonderful gluten free cakes.

Open on Easter Monday which was awesome. Very friendly staff, food options are limited but what they make they do extremely well. I had the amashed avocado and my partner had their mexican dish, both were delicious.

Great little place and one of our favourites in the area. Good food, coffee and service. Nice outlook to the park opposite, quite music in the background.

Really welcoming service, topped with out of this world food, and great coffee made with love! Perfect spot for brunch. Their monthly special burger was one of THE best burgers I’ve ever had; no over-compensating sauces or run-of-the-mill ingredients here. Definitely worth a visit!

Coffee was ok. But it lacks ambience. Limited food options but nice.

Excellent food and coffee. I’ve been there twice and both times the latte was silky smooth, hot well made. The toasted ham, cheese & tomato croissants were well made as well. Highly recommended.
