Great local pub. They have a sports bar, restaurant, outdoor area and pokies if you are into that. Plenty of beers on tap and food is on point. A good alternative to the Old E.

Daniyeru's Detailed Review: Start of Service 5/5 *The staff that greeted us are friendly and polite, professional as well. I did catch one Waiter roll their eyes when noone could hear / claim for a coffee order in our big group, in terms of that, probdbly best not to roll your eyes and keep it behind closed doors not out in the open. Still, we are all human, so not marking any points down for this given the group size, numbers of people and the order! Food 5/5 *Steak was cooked great, portion was very generous and was soft and delicious! *Burger was also massive which came with fries as well to make you even fuller, I ordered a double patty not knowimg how big it was gonna be, boy, I had a big stomach after! Wasn't mind blowing, nor bad, but extremely good int erms of value and size. Great for a pub burger. *Salmon was cooked to perfection, mum absolutely raved on and on about it and wants to come back. What needs more comments? Great! Value 5/5 *The size and value for all the dishes across the menu was extremely well priced and generously portioned. Please don't change! Very affordable, noone will leave hungry! Atmosphere 5/5 *Pub style, clean, modern and well themed. Mostly senior that dine here/tradie type/function but anyone can come here! End of Service 5/5 *Staff regularly came to clear dishes, refill jugs, always a staff presence which is very very good and were not over the top or under. Well done!

Friday night Parma in the new and modernised Sir Henry Barkly hotel was great. Food was delicious and so was my prosecco. A popular place with locals. Great pub with a nice vibe. I will go back. And ... i did go back, this time had a parma and pot on a Thursday night. The eggplant parma and house sparkling were perfect, the parma was served with a better than usual green leaf salad, had mushrooms and cherry tomato. The chips are still crunchy and delicious.

It’s a good pub experience. Very nice service from young friendly kids. We took the tapas option which is great value. We couldn’t finish it! The food was tasty. The mini sliders were beauties, and the duck spring rolls were good too. $24 for the meal was good. Wine was pretty well priced

Hosted a private event here a while back. They were fantastic. Menu options were clear and tasty - a good mix of fancy options and familiar favourites. The staff on the night were friendly and present, even sent us home with leftover food! Everything was smooth and simple, and the private space was fantastic. All accessible and had a private bathroom and can be entered without going through the main pub. Have been going to the venue relatively regularly since, and the food and drinks have been consistently good and staff have always been great. I only wish sometimes that it were a little less popular out of my own selfishness, but it's well deserved.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight. The food was delicious as usual. Assorted dumplings, wedges, and Angus beef sliders.

Great local, two massive TV screens to watch the footy with a few more smaller ones scattered to the side. Lots of beers on tap (staples of Carlton dry and draught), food is decent and staff is friendly.

Little quiet, but it was a Monday. Nice and clean, as well as the friendly bar staff, made it worthwhile.

Had a great reasonably priced menu and thoroughly enjoyed the tapes. The bar staff and waitress staff were friendly and attentive. The ambience was terrific and the pub was far better than nearby pubs in the area.

Scotch fillet was not bad, asked for medium rare but of coarse comes out medium.

Stumbled in for a quick bite, ended up with the "small bites" special, which was anything but small, with a side of kipflers. All this washed down with a blizzardly cold pale ale. A great place for a a very tasty and we'll prepared meal. Would recommend 👍👍👍👍👍

Juicy succulent char grilled steak. The salad is nice. 🥩🥗 But they shouldn’t charge extra for the sauce. That is very stupid. Lucky to get 5 stars if charging for sauce especially when the sauce ain’t amazing. And what’s with the rip off price on the balter beer? Just make it $13 a pint.

We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get a table. My friend ordered risotto which she loved. I had 'food envy' as I ordered the Morrocan roast vegetable and chicken couscous. The roast vegetables 'walked through on stilts' and the chicken 'flew over the dish' . Meal was lacking in flavour. It was very disappointing and at $28.00, not cheap. Dish was the size of a small soup bowl. Haven't been here for a meal for about 6 years. Won't be rushing back. Staff were pleasant. Place was clean. Music was too loud for those wanting to talk over dinner. Wine by the glass at about $12 was reasonable. However, my friend said parmigiana night is worth a visit.

Dinner 9/8/22 The food was ok but not especially notable, just basic pub meals. I made a mistake of getting a risotto at a pub. Good reviews of the steaks though. Staff were friendly and hard working on a pretty busy weeknight

Not bad for a suburban local. The food was pretty good. I had the Parma: great to have one with a flavoursome tomato sauce, and ham with flavour. My partner tried the lamb cutlets - nice and crispy.. Service was good, everyone polite, smiling and helpful. We were sat in front of the terrace, which was actually quite cold: good thing I brought a jacket. It's a generally noisy environment.

Really great food. Atmosphere in the beer/sports garden/bar (enclosed) was really good. High top tables too for a casual vibe. Menu had a great selection with special and food was hot and tasty. Serves were large especially the large parmas. Would go back.

As a pub Sir Henry Barkly deserves 5 stars. The food seems to be standard pub fare like parmi and fish&chips but their kitchen is better than average quality. I ordered dumplings to have something smaller and the portion was actually great size! What's even better the presentation and taste was above what I expected/ I will definitely be back here for more!

Friendly staff, tasty food (tofu stirfry and tofu Moroccan salad) and nice atmosphere. High ceiling in 'beer garden' area (earthy brick undercover area) made it very comfortable on a 32 degrees day. Would certainly come back again when in the area.

Good food, service and atmosphere. Price is on the mid-range, around $20-40 per person, without drinks. I've been there a couple times now and the quality of the food has always been excellent. The staff were quite friendly too. Definitely worth a try

Great and tasty food and drink options, reasonable prices, excellent service and friendly atmosphere. A favourite place for my girlfriends and I to catchup. Multiple parking options. Many separate areas including function rooms, restaurant, and pokies. A wonderful place to socialise; looking forward to returning!

Food was good for a pub. If your dining with kids, it has a fantastic kids play area. I tried Parmi night, huge selections of Parmi's to choose from. Food came out fast. Lovely choice of desserts too. Look forward to coming back again 👌

We attended my sister in law's 60th birthday there tonight in the private function area. It was terrific. The staff were operating at a high standard. I couldn't believe how friendly they were. The food kept comming out. You could not complain about the variety and the quality. I would definately recommend the place for a function.👍👍

Didn't have a great expectation but was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food. Crispy skin salmon to die for and seafood linguine really good. Affogatto very nicely presented. Service was efficient in welcoming. Highly recommend.

Love this place, it's comfy, spacious, food always good. I always get the seafood linguine and a coconut pineapple mocktail and it's always yummy. Once it wasn't as warm but like went on a really busy day. Other then that amazing, delicious and devine

Came for a party, parking was awful but the place itself was very well run, couldn't spot a single problem with the place while I was here, even the bathrooms were seemingly very clean. Although I was only in one area so I'm not sure if the quality would remain across the board

Great food, comfortable seating and the staff are the absolute BEST, friendly and knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond the service, one of the most enjoyable part of our family evening was watching the young waiter balancing our birthday cake and walking so slowly to avoid any of the candles going out, we were all holding out breath. Thank you🤗

Bistro review...Perfectly fine for a family lunch/ dinner. Could do with a kids play area out the back perhaps. The menu needs updating, it's been the same for years now, and could do with some seasonal inclusions at least. But it's reasonably priced and offers a decent selection. Nothing fancy but it doesn't need to be.

A nice local pub. Good selection of beers on tap. Fantastic chips, the crunch in the chips, Gahd dayum so good mayne. Would definitely order them again when I come back. Pretty good vibes as well, would be keen to try their actual food but the beers are great

Food good staff good. Actually went there to have a feed and watch the football. The football result wasn't what was wanted. But the night with good food and good company more than made up for it. Will be back again. Cheers Ian

Went for an easy Friday lunch during my work day. Quick service. Lovely updated venue and the Parma was really good for price and taste! Would Def go again!

Been regular lunch patrons for approx 3 years, with a group of ladies, small meals suit us. Staff are friendly, helpful + extremely welcoming. During recent Covid lock downs, Rachael in particular has been professional, kind + extremely helpful on phone. We are already booked for Friday.

The team at Sir Barkly were awesome! Eric served us at the bar and had a fun professional charm.. along with his happy and friendly coworkers.. food was yum and came out quick considering it was quite busy.. Highly recommend! ✌🏼 - Jo “be kind” 😊
