Best drinks and service hands down. Our waiter Tom was superb, knew his drinks off by heart and was able to suggest personal suggestions for everyone based off previous drinks. The Santa Rosa was superb and had an excellent balance. I can honestly say I have no improvements for the Santa Rosa as it blew my expectations out of the water. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment and can only hope Tom is working again. Absolutely amazing service and drinks.

The place is welcoming with staff who are so friendly and helpful, Tom who guided us with the flavours of drinks. He was absolutely wonderful and made the experience so sweet. The place is not too loud so a nice conversation can be made and the food is nice with the toasted sandwich being my personal preference. Came here on a Friday night with a friend, served by bartender Tom who recommended cocktails to my taste, made a dope Charlie Chaplin and even made an awesome one of his own creation that wasn't on the menu! Super friendly, super helpful, really knowledgeable! can't recommend enough!

Friendly service, Tom the owner has such a unique tastebud, the abnormal combination of ingredients always surprised us how amazing the taste turned out to be. Tom is always trying new stuff, hence the frequent new menus. He patiently explained his ideologies, that boosted our confidence in exploring any of his creation. The bar has a comfy vibe for people to have a quality catch up. The price is reasonable, in fact, it's a great value for what we got. I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone who are looking for interesting cocktails instead of boring long island.

Absolute gem of a cocktail bar. Stumbled in here and Tom instantly made us feel at home and not only that, made us round after round of superb cocktails. The only issue was that we couldn't agree which cocktail was most fantastic. Completely recommend, would like to go back immediately and repeatedly. Special shout out to the Fools Gold and the Last Word - what a marvel!

The exceptional customer service of Tom only enhances the cool bar vibe as he was genuine and friendly and very nice to me and my date. Chris was the other gentleman working In the bar and he was nice too. Amazing custom cocktails just ask Tom what he recommends and he won’t disappoint

I've been to Bar Clara a few times and it is always great - either for something special like birthday drinks or low key like an after work catch up. Tom and Chris are lovely, take excellent care of you and make the best recommendations for the perfect drink. The cocktails are beautiful looking, perfectly balanced and most importantly, delicious. Love this place.

I am perpetually on the hunt for mulled wine, and Bar Clara is high on the list for offering a delicious drink! Its mulled wine offers the beautiful winter spices taste and garnished with a fresh orange. My friend was equally impressed with her Perfect Pear cocktail. The drinks are on the slightly pricier side, but you get to relax in a gorgeous basement bar with great ambience, helpful staff and an extensive drinks menu. 🍸

We really loved all the drinks we ordered. The spicy margarita was the best drink I’ve ever had. The reaper tincture is a genius idea. Must visit if in Melbourne! The staff were inviting and friendly.

A unique experience. We were not expecting sit down table service at a bar, but we embraced the experience and had a lovely time. The drinks are very original, and the flavours are absolutely amazing. The super friendly staff made our night. We were unable to get in on our first walk past, but a very kind staff member took the time to make recommendations for surrounding bars based on our vibe. It was quite loud when we were there (around 10pm on Friday) as the room is reasonably small and crowded.

The cocktails were great, recommend the blue one as 2023 summer list. The food and the service were also good. Will come again.

A cosy and unassuming bar tucked away downstairs with a little street frontage. Friendly and inviting staff who provided very good service (kept ‘checking in’ and topping up water; good RSA). We had baked Brie (bloody delicious!!) as a snack with our cocktails. Nice decor perfect for a romantic drinks or fun with friends. Not many tables so book or try your luck as a walk in. We were lucky on a Saturday night after a show.

Great bar with fantastic service! We were met by a very trendy bartender who greater us in the way in, as it turns out all the bar staff were super friendly. We had a Negroni (not on menu but the staff were happy to make and a Delusions of Grandeur. Both were fantastic, would 100% recommend!!!

Excellent service. We were a bit disappointed with the drinks, they tasted watery. Eventually we had a glass of wine (not many options..). The nuts from the menu are actually Bhuja mix, and it killed the flavour of the wine. They don’t split bills. Great atmosphere though.

My friend and I wandered into Bar Clara after dinner in Chinatown and how lucky are we that we did! We were greeted with a warm welcome and a fabulous atmosphere. A staff member named Tom walked us through the menu and asked us our cocktail preferences. He made sure to tailor our experience based on the spirits and flavours we enjoy. After having some cocktails from the set menu, we asked Tom if he could surprise us with something based on our tastes. Tom set to work and made us gin based cocktails which were both delicious and perfectly balanced. We asked him what type of cocktails they were so we could order them anytime and he told us that he had come up with them himself! Overall, we were very impressed by the service and how creative and welcoming the bar staff are. Would definitely recommend Bar Clara to anyone and tell them to ask for Tom. 10/10

Chris and Tom were so accommodating and entertaining, some of the best service and conversations I’ve ever had with a bartender, friendly and welcoming environment, ask them to make whatever you’re feeling and they’ll do it! Best service, definitely a favorite in my books!
